The one near rio park would suit you better as it is close to everything really. Flat area all around there as most of Benidorm is. Hope you enjoy it :cheers

There isn't a lot of entertainment in the Cala de Finestrat area, although there's a nice little beach there. If one of your party has walking difficulties you'll have to use either taxis or buses to get into the main area where the night life is.

I personally wouldn't agree that the area around the Rio Park is flat. The hotel itself is on a slight incline which shouldn't present a problem in most cases, but obviously that would depend on the extent of any mobility problems. Perhaps if you could tell us the name or address of the apartment, we may be able to let you know if it is uphill, downhill or level with the Rio Park.

Thanks for your replies to date.

David - The apartment is in the Alhambra building in Jean Street if that helps. They assure me they've had wheelchair users there before which our friend doesnt have, he just has a problem with steps, steep hills (especially if no handrail).

I walk with a walking stick and i find most of benidorm not to difficult to walk around. Yes there are some parts that are quite steep but none to bad around the area you speak of. You can allways hire a scooter like Madge from Benidorm on the telly :rofl Enjoy it.

Hi annie apple ... Calle Jaen is the street in front of Hotel Rio Park and so is slightly further down the incline. (Streets behind the hotel are further up the incline).

The Alhambra Apts sit just opposite the hotel and the location itself shouldn't really present problems for anyone with slight mobility problems. However, it is difficult to comment on the apartments themselves as they are privately owned and rented out by various owners and agencies. Standards and facilities within each apartment may vary. Try and do a bit of research about the owner or agency responsible for the apartment which you are interested in, as while there are some reputable companies involved in rentals at this complex, others may be less so.

Its through Owners Direct who i think are a fairly well established agency. The owner has been registered with them since last year and shows a couple of good reviews about the apartment, i guess you have to hope these are genuine and it appears to have everything we need. Is it a pleasant enuf complex generally?

It wouldn't be my choice, but that is just personal preference, rather than anything specifically about the complex. I will edit the topic title in the hope off attracting feedback from members who have stayed there.

Haven't stayed there, but have friends who live there. Their apartment is very nice, but since they are all privately owned you will just have to take the word of the people that have rented before. If the feedback is good, then they should be fine.
