We plan to go for a long weekend at the end of October to Naples. I'm looking for hotels in that area and we plan to visit the normal things like Pompeii, Vesuvius etc, but most of the hotels Im finding are in the other side of Naples to these places.
The choice of hotel is also huge, so I wondered if anyone can actually recommend somewhere, so I can go and look online. Im awful at making decisions like this, so any help would be appreciated, especially as this would be our first time in Italy.

Unless you specifically want to stay in Naples, you could consider this place. We stayed there on a fly/drive to Italy a few years back. It is literally 5 minutes walk from one of the entrances to Pompeii and the same from the station. The room decor is fairly basic but it was clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced.
