couldn't get sensable flights for xmas so off to Egypt for xmas. can't believe it though a large works conference has now just this week been cancelled so I could have left for Goa around the 19th and stayed till the 7th January and got good flights

sunset beach, candolim 27th january for 3 glorious weeks - am
sooooooo looking forward to chilling out

just got to get visas sorted - don't know whether to go in
person to london or send to travel agents by post, and
then again which travel agent? Must admit this hoo-ha
has taken the glamour of our holiday off quite a bit :roll:

Christine I agree with you, I had the same dilemma, decided to send to an approved HCI agent. On the day they received them they posted on their website that they were not accepting any further until 15th November!! Have spoken with them and they are not able to start processing it until the beginning of November.

If you use an agent telephone them first to find out how long, and leave yourself plenty of time to apply.

If the Commission is trying to encourage people to use the agents you would think that they would not be so restrictive with the agents they have appointed. Frustrating is not the word for it!

Hi Big Knickers Shaz,
Did you know that Hotel Germany has changed it's name?? Not sure if it's the same owners or not but the pool area has totally changed.
There's been an ongoing dispute with Senhor Angelo Hotel and the Germany regarding the pool. The pool has now been walled off and Senhor Angelo have built themselves a lovely new one - unfortunately it doesn't leave much sunbathing room around the original pool on the Germany side. Not sure if this will affect you (maybe you prefer the beach anyway) but thought I'd mention it just in case.

hiya GFF. I didn't know it had changed its name-what's it called now? Have got telephone number and email address of Jude who did/does own hotel but will pop up to Calangute in December to check out what's going on! :roll:

Doesn't matter too much about the pool really as I'm always at the Horizon shack anyway - but good to know all the same

With our friends Francis and Valentine, in Candolim dont know how to describe the position exactly but if you go down the lane which is near Cactus Shepherd pie and the oposite Lawander supermarket, cut through the houses and coconut trees on the left hand side before you get to the church, you eventually come to a group of local houses set around a group of Coconut trees just behind the sand dunes, well we will be staying in one of those, its painted vivid green and white and I love it.
