to be honest if you look round you can find good and bad in all the low cost airlines ,flown with them all in the last 3 years and can say none was better or worse than the other
I would fly with the low cost airlines for work. Have found BMI baby far better than Easy Jet and Ryan Air. I think FLYBE would offer the best service for a low cost carrier.

Worth pricing a few companies up and then choosing which is best for you, may work out cheaper travelling out with one firm and back with another
Money saving expert has a great flightchecker tool to find cheapest flights, dead simple to use

We have had the worst experiences with BMI Baby, and after a series of letters of complaint to the Air Users Council, we have had no satisfaction whatsoever. BMI did not even reply to our letters, not even a standard issue "We are looking into your complaint " letter. On the otherhand, we have had nothing but excellent service from Monarch, and they would be my first choice of low cost airline every time. The staff are polite and professional, the food on board is excellent and we have never once had any delay with this airline. We travel to Majorca five or six times a year. The only slight complaint is that the legroom on Monarch is very limited, as it is with all budget airlines, and I would definelty pay a little extra for a better seat, if your budget allowed.
We have flown with BMI baby, no problems wish they still flew our of our local airport. They pulled our a few years ago.
I flew to Palma with BMIbaby last year and had no problems whatsoever. Yes they're a budget airline so you get what you pay for but in my experience they are no worse than any of the other low cost carriers.

Speak as you find - We've flown with BMI baby many times and not had a problem. Just remember it's a budget airline & as in everything in life, you get what you pay for.
We flew to Majorca with Jet2.com last year and was impressed wih everything about them. We booked in the Nov to fly at the end of May and only cost £83 per person. Couldn't fault the service at all.
take the cheap option.more to spend when you get there.even the big boys are bad sometimes.tui/thomascook/.its just a metter of extra cost for taking more weight that it all adds up.tony331714 if you have a good deal take it now before it goes up in price.
I've flown East Midlands to Palma with BMIbaby and had no problems. As others have said, don't forget its a budget airline, so buy your food etc in Boots beforehand and don't expect any films. The flights only a couple of hours, so I'd save the £200 and use it for spending money.
I`ve decided to pay the extra and fly with monarch,i read far to many bad reports about Bmi baby for my liking, tony
well all i can say is best of luck.glad you have the money to waste.its only a taxi in the end
I know what you mean when you say its only a taxi but the reports i`ve read about this airline just cancelling flights at short notice, sometimes when people are actually about to check in,re-routeing flights and leaving people in the lurch and being for the most part just very unhelpful with what appears absolutely no customer service skills and it wasn`t just the odd report that was bad it was most of them!! So as far as i`m concerned it was worth the extra £200 for peace of mind, tony
was the cancelling flights going to benidorm.s airport
They cancelled flights to a few airports it wasn`t one airport in particular, its ok people saying its a budget airline and you get what you pay for but i wasn`t confident i was going to GET what i`d paid for namely a flight without to many problems.
Having said that, if you were going to spend the next few weeks/months worrying, its probably worth the extra money.
