Also if anyone staying at same or close by fancy meeting up for drinks or tag along on day trips like jeep safari etc give us a shout.
By the way anyone with suggestions on places to visit in Bodrum or around or ideas on different day trips, it would be a help.

Just booked a bargain - a week at the Donmez Hotel in Dalyan, less than £80 for the two of us b&b, then on to Turunc as usual for our last two weeks, staying at Burak apartments. Flying with Easyjet from Manchester on 8th June so not long now.

Hi Catsbumfluff, if you are staying in Bodrum you are in a ideal place to explore all around the Bodrum Peninsula, you can get the dolmus from the bus station to lots of different resorts and little villages. Go to Turgutreis for shopping in the outdoor market, or Yalikavak and Gumusluk for lunch in quiet laid back resorts. Ortakent has a lovely beach, there are even camels on part of it. Gumbet is greta for na evening out and Bitez has a lovely beach and lots of nice restaurants.

You can do wonderful boat trips from Bodrum harbour and of course your jeep safari. There are also day trips further afield to Ephesus, Pamukkale or Dalyan.

Bodrum itself is lovely too, you can go to the castle and the Mausoleum of Halikarnassus if you want some history and of course there are some very good shops as well as the Tuesday market at the bus station. There are also loads of good restaurants and bars there.

I'm sure you will have a great time, we aren't going to be in Bodrum until october this year.

This will be our first holiday in Turkey, and all going well we will be staying at the Delphin Palace in Lara Beach. Don`t go until September so not to excited yet but so looking forward to it. We probably won`t see much of the country as such, being all inclusive, but we will go to Antalya and anything near, if we like it we will be back. So another 3 months of research and browsing reviews. Hope everyone has a great time.

Hi Cybergran
We are going to Calis Beach for the 3rd time this year.
You can get the water taxi from the canal bridge into Fethiye, the taxi
goes down the canal & into the bay of Fethiye into the harbour.
You can go up to the fish market, which is surrounded by restaurants, pick
& buy your fish, then pick a restaurant to cook it for you,at a small charge
& then you pay for your drinks.
The promenade is full of restaurants/bars, & so is the main street.
There is a place called pastries and pies, they do the sandwiches for the
airport, they are really good, ( Dalaman really dear )
P & pies is located, walk from the water taxi bridge on the right hand side
walking up the main street after cadianda tours, there is a little street on
your right, its on your left. They do some lovely meals also, fresh pies &
cakes.
On your left walking up the street is " Gunisk's " lovely kebabs & meals
& lovely iced glasses with your efe's.
They do the different trips,12 islands tour etc,get dolmus into fethiye as
well as water taxi.
Then from Fethiye you can get dolmus to oviak, hisaruno, olu deniz.
Calis beach is a shingle beach, with amazing sunsets.
