Sounds good to me, my daughter wants to do the boat trip along with Aqua Park and Jeep Safari - I reckon I might need a holiday afterwards lol

This is the worst bit now, counting down - I hardly get any work done as I'm either on here or Icmeler Online or Google Earth looking at pics lol

We're off to Club Anastasia in Marmaris and I discovered a few weeks ago that someone at church was there last year and has kept up with people out there. She posted a photo on Facebook last Sunday of a thermometer reading 47 degrees which she was told had been taken that day. She told me this morning that it is still very hot.

I wouldn't rely on someone's thermometer for a proper reading, it never actually reaches 47 by the coast. The highest ever recorded temperature in Turkey was 48 degrees and that was in Mardin, which is inland (that is actually where my husband is form too).

It is extremely hot there at the moment though, around 38 but forecasts are saying up to 42 so do be careful in the sun.

Just 8 more sleeps for me then off to Kushadasi missed going last year due to a change of job and can only fit in a week this year ( new job is bit mean with holidays and I need to get in my 3 weeks in Goa at Xmas) but I can't wait for my first Vodka and cherry juice and some guaranteed sunshine.

Still 19 sleeps for me until Grand Aquarium in Icmeler, these next two weeks at work will draaaag. Not too bad I guess as only 11 more working days after today

Good news is, I've booked and paid for boat trip already on 3rd August (last Friday we are there) , All Inclusive for £18 each.

Hi all, my very first post here. 10 of us are off to Marmaris on 30th July for a week, staying in the Atlantis Apartments, ages ranging from 70 (we will celebrate my dads birthday over there) to 30's, 20's a 17 year old and a 3 year old and we are so looking forward to it. First time in Marmaris but not in Turkey we went to Kusadasi the past couple of years. Just a little word of warning to those of you going to Kusadasi, beware of the cocktails and fishbowls especially, my son 21 was very ill last year with fake alcohol poisoning and spent most of his holiday in hospital, unable to eat or drink, he still suffers with his stomach today as he had internal bleeding, not nice.

Anyway he will take my advice this year and stick to bottles of efes

Hi Sandomac, thanks for the warning do you know which bars the fake stuff was served in? We've been going to Kushadasi for years and not had a problem but as Vodka is my tipple it's best to be wary!!
