We`ve been to the Balearics 3 times at October half term (20 Oct ish). We have had some very good weather twice but once we had a poor week, it was wet but still better than at home. We love this time of year as it`s not too busy. In fact we`re going to Menorca this year at that time of year.

We take a mix of things, swiming gear as you sometimes can. Suncream as it still can get hot. We also take a pair of jeans and a lot of layers that way you can mix and match to fit in.

If it does get cooler just nip in a bar and have a coffee and brandy to warm you up.

I'd take a bit of everything and hope for the best. Though I don't think you'll need the winter coat - a warmish jacket or fleece should be fine.

but as soon as the sun goes down so will the temperature . a little fleece will be more than enough on a chilly nite .

I'd definitely take a fleece a light nylon jacket and an umbrella. You'll have to be pretty lucky to wear a bikini - although many hotels have an indoor pool
