In oct 2006 we went to mexico on a package holiday with Thomson.
When we were booking the travel agent talked us into upgrading with the promise of wide leather seats, own tv.free drinks etc etc, this cost us £450 extra.
When we boarded the plane we realised that the plane we were on hadn't got the leather seats, the own tv was a dvd player with no channels and on the return flight there was no booze(basically the premium seats were yet to exsist).
Anyway i complained at resort and when i got home to no avail, so in the end i payed £72 and took my case to arbitration, Thomson were given till the end of the month to reply and last week i recieved a cheque for the £450 upgrade plus the £72 costs. :Dr
Anyway i just wanted you all to know that sometimes its worth fighting for whats right and sometimes the little guys can win.
Thanks jo
Well done, thanks for letting us know.
Congratulations, perseverence can pay off! Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. Linda.
nice one
Thanks for all your congratulations, i've now decided to go again next year so fingers crossed all will be well, but there's no way i'll be upgrading to premium again
