Work in Turkey

Getting work here is very hard unless you set up your own company, which cost you about 6-700GBP to register. Wages are not good although we could do with some good quality work here, for a plasterer or tiler about 400 GBP per month max. So if you had a fair bit of investment capital which could provide you with income then you will find it though. I have two monsters aged 9 and 12 (going on 20). They go to private school (Antalya)and although didnt speak much Turkish when they arrived they quickly adapted, and they love living out here. In short if you can afford to come here and semi-retire great but if you depend on the income here you will find it tough. Pm me if you want more details.

There is a growing market for good workmanship....if you can turn up on time and clean up after you leave then you are in business. Rate of pay is rubbish but if you can have some investment income then it is better. The new money is in long term rentals.less hassle and easier money to live off. for example a good 2 bed apart will generate 500 to 600 ytl per month. If you have 3 or 4 of these then working can be part time.
