Callum, I went there but didn't eat just kept on the Honeybee HIC! but there was a fight there that night between the owner's british girlfriend and some brummies, needless to say we didn't go again!

I took my son to Domino's for a pizza (and a break from Subway) cos he doesn't really like spicy food. It was rubbish and quite expensive by Goan standards. :yuck

The Goan Hideout in between Benaulim and Varca (I think) wasn't too good we went after a recommendation so maybe caught them on a bad day.

Worst for us was at 'Get Down' in Cavelossim ~~ worse prawn sizzler ever. Wouldn't visit again and therefore wouldn't recommend.

East meets West was my worst meal, I found the staff to pushy with wine lists etc, the place itself was great but the food was no better than beach shack food and probably 3 times the price :(
Relish in Candolim was superb for Goan food and extra friendly service

Linda we had one nice meal at Get Down but then when we went back the most awfull live music was being blasted out we had a drink and went down to the Goan village instead (and never went back to Get Down)

Agree with FTV about East Meets West, Most obnoxious waiter we have ever come across, sitting us in a dark corner (loads of plants and mozzies)was not happy when i said I would prefer to sit elswhere then he insisted on telling us what to order, we ordered what WE wanted this seemed to put his nose out of joint. My wife asked him could he make sure the rice was hot to which he replied "the rice will be hot madam"When the meal came it was nothing special and the rice was COLD. :rofl I must admit I took great delight in asking him could he please bring us some Hot rice  We never saw him the rest of the evening.
It was a pity really because it is a great setting.
Also have to agree about the Spice Garden Candolim, we stayed at the Magnum twice and walked past this every night I said shall we give it a try Big mistake! worst meal we have ever had in Goa and pricey, I got the blame for that one
Do you all do what we do and have alternate nights of choosing where to eat? and dont you just hate it when on your choice the meal is :swear and your partner looks almost pleased! :yuck :kiss

worst so far gato loco in candolim on the main drag!!!!!!!really nice brekfast but we made the mistake of returning for an evening meal it was inedible!
also although people rave about the place down candolim beach rd called cactus something - sorry cant remember exact name, my husb got severe food poisoning from that place last year, he ordered a small bowl of marsala sauce to go with his tandoori & as soon as he ate it he knew - huge mistake within 2 hrs severe s***s & vomiting that lasted for 2 days.
my meal was lovely though & its a shame cos we liked the place but that bowl of masala sauce had obviously been kicking around at room temp for far far too long so we'd never go back there.
