Following on from our Christmas Traditions topic I though it would be nice to see and hear about your Christmas tree, so I will start.
Normally we have a real tree however as we have a young grandaughter we have gone for an artificial tree this year.
The 7'6'' tree took me about 5 hours to erect there are 400 lights on it including red cherry and LED snowing effect, apart from the lights there is also around 400 decorations on it including candy canes, small crackers, pine cones, baubbles, small bells that chime gently as you walk past, we have also added some small hanging chocolates which are being used as an advent calander by our 2 year old grandaughter Lucy.
There are 2 hand made decorations that are 20 years old which were made and personalised for our 2 children and new this year is a decoration made from the hand print of Lucy which is painted to look like the face of Santa.
Not forgetting the santa express train running around the bottom

So come on folks tell us about your tree
had we still had an open fire we would have had a Yule log.... no tree and no decorations this year...
What a beautiful tree
That is stunning Graham, I love it definitely worth all your hard work.
OMG Betty, I don't think we can have naked pictures on here, get some decorations on quick
Loving the beams Pam looks like you have a great house even if you do have nudie trees
Still have to go up to the Nursery and get ours job for tomorrow I think.
Mine is still in the loft and the only thing I will be going up there for are the suitcases.
It's always been a tradition in our house that our son always switches the lights on and places the star on the top of the tree. He is now 18 years old, and had to wait until today when he returned from college in Bristol to perform the ceremony LOL!

These wee family traditions are important, our two children still leave milk and cookies for Santa and a carrot for rudolph
Here's mine:-
Here is my slightly quirky tree
Aww love it Nickmacuk
I don't have a real tree. We used to always buy real ones until the year my tree just would not drink any of the water. When it came to taking it down, it didn't matter how gently I took off the decorations, every single needle fell off. Six months later I was still finding needles
dining room
..complete with Winnie the Pooh (our deceased labs fav toy ) on top...
Hall room...
complete with 'Tumpie' on the top ..he has been aloft our tree for 40 years - they used to be given away with petrol or parafin many moons ago and were often found, as he was, lying in the street having been used as a football. Unfortunately ...he'd lost his feet!
He was actually KIDNAPPED one year and we recovered him, having paid the ransom!!.. hanging down on thread from the balcony above ours in Goa LOL
They all look lovely Betty
What a fab looking house Betty.
