we stayed at the zoriada gardens part of the same complex We upgraded the second day we were there - although we did it through our rep (thomas cook) which if i remember correctly was cheaper than upgrading with the hotel directly.
Before we arrived i did e-mail the cotursa website but unfortunately they did not respond
We looked around the zoraida park whilst we were there ( we had originally booked for the park) and it looked just as nice as the zoraida gardens.
hope you have a good holiday there - we did and would not hesitate to return in the future

This is my first post on here so lets hope I get it write.
I am going to Zoraida Park ,Roquetas de Mar in 2 weeks, can anybody tell me what the dress code is like in the Hotel restaurant.Basically to know what clothes to take, i.e dress trousers and shirt on can you use polo shirt and trousers. I was in Salou last August in a 4 star and I was ok with a polo shirt and a pair of tidy 3/4 legnth trousers.
Thanks.
You will be ok with shirts or polos.
I agree with dorothy - what you are planning to wear sounds fine. I think that you would only have a problem if you tried to go to dinner in your swimming gear!
Thank you both for reply. You never know what to take with you at H/B or All/Inc . But that if fine at least I don't have to wear dress trousers every night for meal's. Nothing worse if leg's get a bit of the sun.
Thanks Again
Charlie.
Just got back 4.30pm Thursday 30th and boy was it hot. They said we were having a mini heatwave. It was in mid 40's everyday. The hotel was good and the ground's were excellent, never short of a bed.We were on 5th floor looking out to the sea and the Garden swimming pool. With the Med Games being on at the moment their was 500 police men and women for the games and 250 were staying in Park.We found the food was Ok but you got the one's who complain but we thought it was Ok. The one very big downside of the holiday was the FLIES,their was 100's of them,I bought a fly swatter. They didn't do any harm but by god they were annoying. We went to the pool most of the first week and the beach the second (not so many flies). We also done a power of walking along the prom to the town centre which takes about 15 to 20 mins.I was surprised at the heat and sun at 9pm.We also went to the big shopping mall a couple of times,it was called Grand Plaza. You can get a bus outside Zoradia Garden and it only cost's 90 cents which is about 60p. Has a very good sports shop in it and a lot of the shops we have here.
If anybody needs any info please get in touch and I will try and help.
Thanks
Charlie

Thanks

We're staying at the Zoraida Park in September. I note that when you were there you were in a room overlooking the pool. Did you pay extra for that or were you simply allocated that by the hotel? Is a pool-view room the same as a sea-view room. I ask that because I'm told a sea-view room costs around €7 a night extra.
Cheers.
Ayjay
thank you caz-h
We have reviews of this hotel here:
There are actually two hotels - Zoraida Park & Zoraida Gardens so you get the choice of two pools, bars, entertainment etc. Only thing you cant do is use other hotels restaurant. Great cocktails - happy hour 8-9pm
We have stayed at the Park in previous years but will be staying in the Z.Gardens this time. The grounds around both hotels are VERY spacious, especially compared to other hotels in the resort. LOADS of sunbeds, mostly all with umberellas. There is a small charge (I think 3 euros per day for two beds) Beds are also available on the beach but cost a little more. Often a little cooler there with breeze. Water not ideal for little ones though. Shelves down rather suddenly. Beach is small shingle not sand and gets very hot, but they have board walks from the hotel to the bed area. Very clean though, with showers and bins all along. Cleaned every day when we were there last September.
If you want a LIVELY resort, Roquetas will not be for you.
VERY Spanish. We use this holiday as our 'chill out' time.
Lots of bars, restaurants. No lager louts or noisey discos. Zoraida complex at the quieter end of the resort, but a great stroll along the promanade (15 mins max) to the busier, livlier end of the resort.
As for the flies. YES, in the heat of July/August you do get flies. Small 'fruit flies' so I am told. Not like our big fat ugly bluebottles!! They come from the poly greenhouses behind the resort, get yourself a swatter and fly spray. Never spoilt our holidays in the past.
Hope this helps - enjoy your holiday
What date is it you leave.Hope you have yet another good holiday and remember the fly swatter. Will here from you when you return.
Charlie.
CAN'T WAIT
Looking forward to a nice cold beer around the pool.
Will post a report when I get back
Regards
Sue
Just come back from Zoraida Park/Gardens Hotel. Had Brilliant time!. Food was really quite good. Best to get to breakfast 9am as 9.30 is mad and busy! Good selection of meats and fish for evening meal. Always had a grill section each night Also had jacket potaotes and new potatoes, which was a nice choice other than the frys you usally end up with in these hotels! Good salad bar, and fresh bread and rolls each night. My daughter of 6yrs also ate very well, lots of choice for kids. Area which hotel is in is quite good, few bars and shops opposite hotel. Main resort 30 minuite walk along the beach to your left. Bars and shops good there, plenty of choice. We went on a couple of trips while there. Mini Hollywood was excelent, best in the evening as very hot, and high in mountains. Friends went to the water park but we didnt get the chance, but they said it was fantastic! Hope this helps you!.. Have fun
