Location
How wrong can you be the Royal Bay certainly exceeded my expectations. Although located down a steep road everything you needed was on your doorstep.
The hotel was clean, the food although a bit repetitive was very nice and for what it costs a couple of meals in sunny beach is well worth it.
The location is 1st class with the main swimming pool 3 metres from the reception area. The hotel staff were absolutely superb, very helpful, polite and courteous.
The maids even folded my wife's nighties and the kids pyjamas everyday.
Kras behind the bar was a hoot and the bar area was very informal so everybody talked to everybody.

I travelled with my mum. When you arrive at the complex, you will be taken down to the hotel on a golf buggy with your luggage. When we arrived we got the keys straight away and went up to our room. the room itself was lovely with a view right on the beach and of the pool. There is air con in the rooms but it wasn't very powerful though it did some of it's job. there is a tv with some english channels. There is a hairdryer in the room though it's not very powerful so I advise you to take your own. There is a safe in the wardrobe which cost us 98 levs for the 2 weeks which works out at about

The reception area has been refurbished since our 2005 holiday - it's gorgeous. The rooms are lovely - spotlessly clean.
Cleaners were extremely pleasant so too were all the rest of the staff.
The hotel is on the beach. The beach is cleaned every night, sunloungers and parasols are plentiful, beach is safe for children.
The food was wonderful and tasty. Plenty of variety on the menu.
Restaurant staff lovely. We did not have any upset stomachs at all. We are going again next year - for definite.
There is no entertainment at this hotel - but that is what we like - peace and quiet. 10 minute walk to Royal Park Hotel for nightly entertainment if that is what you want.

I travelled with a friend, both female and 21 years old, and we really wanted a relaxed holiday... and boy did we get it!
We had an evening flight, and when we got to the hotel, we were overwhelmed, GREAT location! The beach was a stones throw away.
We were greeted by the receptionist and check in ran smoothly, it being a night-time flight, and being delayed, we were all a bit grisly, but soon relaxed, when given a packed lunch when we checked in, which we were very grateful for!
Our cases were taken to our room, and we were so pleased when we walked through the door...it was the most spacious room I'd seen in a long time.. the bathroom was huge, with a bath! YES a BATH!
TV was working, and great quality pictures!
When we woke up on our first day the weather was poor... It rained for the majority of the day, but it didn't deter us.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner was GREAT... you have to be a bit adventurous... they served shark, squid...this was only occasionally I would like to stress, as the majority of the days you could definitely eat something you

I was bit concerned after reading some reports on this hotel but shouldnt have worried it was excellent.set on the lovely wide beach with shallow water(great for kids).
Everynight and most mornings we saw dolphins leaping in the sea.
The hotel was very clean there were hundreds of cleaners day and night.
Rooms are very spacious and modern and all have fridge with free water n chocolate on arrival.the range of food was excellent plently of choices for all courses, waitress service for drinks(not in the Royal Park or Elenite Village).
It is an excellent place for kids as there are lifeguards on all pools and on the beach.

We were very pleasently surprised when we got there.
Rooms were great; good size, and extremely clean.
Food was lovely, and the staff extremely friendly.
I would definately recommend it.

Hotel was so clean towels changed when we left them to be changed. Rooms were large and plenty of storage space. On arrival we were given a bottle of Champaign and a large basket of fruit as it was our 30th wedding anniversary during our stay.
The food was pleasant and having the choice to eat in the al carte restaurants was good as well. Just had to book them at 10 am . I loved all the salads.
The hotel was in a quite part of the complex which made for a relaxing holiday for us.
All four of us said how much we really enjoyed are stay here and we would all go back.
The staff go out of there way to talk to you and are all very friendly you just need to give some of them the time as their English is not always that good.

We ate out alot, as its very cheap, bit claustrophic after 2 weeks there, one week more than enough.

The things that really let it down were the food and lack of entertainment. I am vegetarian and had to live off chips and rice for a fortnight, the same old dishes came out time and time again.
The staff were also very miserable and tended to blank you when asking them questions.
The entertainment was all in the other hotels, one of which had loads of steps and no lift, therefore hard to get to with a buggy/wheelchair.
However we had a lovely modern and spacious family room which was cleaned to a high standard.
Wouldn't recommend going for a fortnight!

Was very good on the whole there was always something for the hardened traveller to eat.
Superb location
The staff was excellent friendly helpful and the elder cleaning staff loved the little ones.
I will give it 5 because we didn't want any and like it said in the brochure said it was in the Elenite village. This is why we picked the hotel because it had no entertainment.
We would go again if the hotel was made adults only as we had an assortment of adult ages and children seemed to be more at ease in the holiday village.
