Hotel looks very nice, rooms are a lot bigger than most hotels, beds were made everyday put never changed.

Hotel staff are not rude they are arrogant.

Food was absolutely terrible in the restaurant one day we had to go to the shop because there was nothing edible.

Bambi (the resident Deer) is not as good as people make out, he looks friendly and lets you pat it etc, but be warned it does get very nasty, he actually chased myself and a few friends.

A little tip, there are 2 Irish bars, one is under the hotel "the Morris pub" which is all inclusive and the Irish bar which is strictly pay only.

The pools on previous reports, some people said it was cold, it is actually freezing, the sea is warmer but when we were there it was absolutely swarming with jellyfish.

Staff were very arrogant until they realised we where due to go home, whereas they would get good tips.

My daughter cut her toe in the pool on glass, this was reported to our rep who did tell one of the staff, but his response was "not my problem". The "Irish bar" was anything but Irish, the stuffiness was terrible and when I asked for the air con to be put on I was told that they (bar staff) were too cold.

Hotel looks very impressive. Felt very safe. Superb if you are looking for a relaxing family holiday but probably too quiet for young people.

We stayed in a suite and the room sizes were excellent. The towels were changed daily however the bedding was not changed in the week we were there. The hotel staff were pleasant particularly the young man serving ice cream to the kids in the village complex.

The food was fine. Always a good selection to choose from. My two children, 8 and 6 years always found plenty to eat. On choosing our food one evening we overheard a lady complaining because there was no childrens menu. A passing chef overheard her and asked if the children would not eat anything that was there.

On replying no, he asked if chicken nuggets would suffice and said they would be ready for her in a few minutes. I thought this was very accomodating. Contrary to peoples complaints re queing for a la carte reservations I managed to book a table without queing at all.

We had read reports that the pools were cold and this was indeed the case however it didn't stop us making use of them. The sea was warmer. We did the Donkey Safari and had a really enjoyable day.

Can't comment on the entertainment or childrens clubs as we did not use either. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely go back.

Hotel was very nice.

Large reception area and very nicely decorated. Had no complaints about the appearence of the hotel. We had booked a family suite which was very spacious and clean with a lovely sea view.

Beds were made up everyday and there was always a clean supply of towels.

I had no complaints about the food in the hotel however if you like your food hot then don't bother eating in the main restaurant as it was nearly always just warm. I heard many people complaing about this. During our first week all of us experienced upset stomachs at times it was so bad we couldnt leave the hotel as we had to be near a toilet! In my case this continued for about 5 weeks upon my return home. The plates in the restaurant were often dirty and they were nearly all chipped.

The majority of the staff in the hotel are very rude and unhelpful especially in the reception area. The entertainment in the hotel i thought was very poor especially for older children which is non existent.

We only visited the Irish bar on two occasions on which we found it hot and stuffy and the beer tasted like flavoured water,it was disgusting. Many people bought beer at the supermarket to drink in the bar. Not something you should have to do when paying for all inclusive.

We also witnessed on several occasions the bar staff filling water coolers straight from the tap.

When you arrive at the hotel you notice the cleanliness & comfort immediately. A bell boy to take bags to your room haven't seen that for a few years! The room we had was vast with a kids den and sea view our girls were very impressed.

Located away from busy towns so feels both safe and quiet.

Staff fantastic limited English but this is Bulgaria not Essex!

Restaurant excellent plenty of choice kids happy.

Entertainment great kids clubs brilliant our girls loved it.

Its so clean in the hotel, our girls often bare foot, felt safe.

Already booked for August 2006

My husband not very keen on the all inclusive lager but you can buy home brands for pennies in the shops on site, there are many little shops and stalls on site selling everything from toys and gifts to clothing and perfume all at very competitive prices. Its that cheap you feel rather rich in Bulgaria.

If you have children I can really recommend the donkey safari its fun for all and the people you meet will touch your heart!

We arrived at 2am and was immediatley impressed with the hotel reception, very large and grand looking.

We were shown to our rooms and were dismayed to find that we were a bed missing (thought that we were going to be in for a long wait before it was sorted)the porter was very friendly and helpful and told us to go to reception and have a drink and he would sort it in 20 mins. True to his word was back and everything sorted no problem.

By the time we had emerged the next day, had breakfast and listened to the res welcome talk(boring and a total waste of time)it was 1pm so all the sunbeds were gone by the pool and the beach.advice would be if you get there in the early hours get your towel out ready. I wished that we had because all we wanted to do was have a lazy day after the travelling.

The location of the hotel is lovely, right on the beach beautiful surroundings. to get a lounger at the pool we had to get our towels out at 5ish and to get one on the beach about 6.30. One morning we were going to the beach and a woman ran past us at top speed because she thought that we might get a space before us, she need not have worried because there were plenty of spaces.

The hotel was very clean always picking up litter and mopping floors. The hotel staff could at times be grumpy but we found that generally if you were polite and friendly they were the same back. one game we did play that seemed to mystify them and make them more friendly was to call them by their name, this seemed to completly throw them and caused much entertainment to our party.

The hotel entertainment was more geared towards young children but my son whose 14 always found something to do.

The food was good we always found something to eat and there wasnt a problem finding tables, sometimes there was no cutlery but in that case we just went and got it ourselves.

For the amount that this holiday cost we really couldn't grumble, if we had spent a considerable amount then I could have understood some of the comments that had been printed but we found it very good.

We had fantastic weather 30s nearly everyday only one thunderstorm and what a beauty that was! I probably wouldnt go back to this hotel only because we've been there - done that.

When you arrive at this hotel you will be struck by the beauty of the building it is amazing especially at night.

The room was far bigger than you generally get in Spain etc and fitted 2 adults and 2 children with room to spare.

The hotel and the resort is being cleaned 24/7 and when you do see any rubbish it is because of the inconsiderate people around who just don't seem to realise what a bin is for.

There are some strange choices in the main restaurant however none of us starved and the staff including Jim and Sean from First Choice work extremely hard. Sometimes we had to fetch our own knives and forks but that was only at the very busy times and seeing how hard the staff work it is not something to moan about.

There was always something for the kids to do either with the holiday club, the entertainment team, around the pool or on the beach. At night there was always a show or you could just have a drink in one of the bars.

We went into Sunny Beach one night but it was not for us as it was far to busy and manic and we had 2 kids under 5 so the hotel complex suited us.

This is my 2nd time at Royal Park visited June 2004 this year August 2005, yet again what another great holiday.

Hotel looked fantastic even better. The hotel was lovely and clean expected that ( dining room toilets need sorting )

The Location of the Royal Park is about 15 minutes away from Sunny Beach ideal for my family.

The food in the restaurant was to a good standard and quite varied. If you prefer pizza, chicken, chips, hotdogs plenty of bars outside serve these.

ENTERTAINMENT during the day was up to you, you could relax around the pool read a book or do the quizzes, volleyball, football lots more fun with the reps. NIGHTTIME some really good nights Grease fantastic, weakest link (be aware Anne Robinson of Faye), Miss Royal Park (which I should have won lol )Tiny Tom, Smelly Kelly and Loopy Leanne were fantastic and not forgetting Danny and Sandy (Stu and Becca )were all great really made our holiday. Best advice about entertainment is join -in.
Not forgetting our fantastic new friends which made our holiday even better Darren, Julie, Ben, Tom, Lee, Paula, Kate(titanic) Jack, Shy Steve(Neil)Irene, Milly, Phoebe, Lewis, Elton(Archie), Anne, Janet, Karen and not forgetting the spice lasses Georgia x2, Lauren, Jade. Leanne and Kylie

Hope to see all soon

We all had a good time and, more importantly, the kids were never bored. Had to get up really early, especially in the first week, to get sunbeds. However, the adults got the relaxing holiday they wanted and the kids kept busy in the pool, shops, watersports. The food was fine, always plenty of choice and it was hot, staff were polite and the
hotel was always clean. If you stood still too long, somebody ran a mop over you.

The entertainment staff worked really hard and did the best they could. Things could be improved by bringing in outside acts a couple of times a week?

The only problem was apparently my fault. Our room key was slightly bent and I didn't report it because I could still use it with a bit of difficulty. However one of the kids was not so adept and snapped the key in the lock. Cost me 30 Levs for a new lock. Word of advice, if there is any damage to your room when you arrive, report it straight away or it could cost you.

Overall it was a great holiday but I tend not to go back to old holiday destinations as it tends not to be as good again and the world is a big place, plenty to see.

Arrived for the second year running at The Royal Park, Elenite at just after midnight (Friday). This year we took my in laws with us. On arrival, we were met with very curtious and helpful staff and shown to our rooms by the bell boy.

Unfortunately, we were given the wrong rooms. We ordered a full suite and a junior suite but were given a junior suite and an interconnecting room. Went back to reception and were told to see the manager in the morning.

Morning came and we went to see our rep(Ian)who assured us that he would sort it out for us. He kept us constantly informed of what was happening but unfortunately the hotel was full until Monday so we would be relocated then.

By lunchtime on Monday we were all in our new rooms and we started our holiday properly.

The food was great, the kids went off and found friends almost immediately, the entertainment, well, what can I say! Superb, excellent, fantastic. All of the above.

The only thing that was wrong, was the weather. For the first couple of days, we had rain so the entertainment was in The Irish Bar which is far too small when you try to get the whole hotel in it. Come on First Choice, build them an outdoor venue.

We had a fantastic holiday once again, so did our parents. There is always something to do if you want to. If not, then sit by the pool and catch some rays which appeared on Monday.

Tiny Tom, Loopy Leanne and Smelly Kelly are the hardest working people we have seen in a long time. They are constantly around to chat too and all the reps are so friendly.

Yes there were the people that found it necessary to moan about things but you get them everywhere. But, in all honesty, when you visit this resort you are in Bulgaria.

Bulgarian food, wine, spirits and customs. Yes, they accomodate the Brits but for how much longer if the Brits behave like the party I have in mind.

We had a great time and are thinking of going back for a third time. Give it a go!
