The hotel seemd to have the ideal location all we can say was the hotel was clean.

The food was really discusting the menu showed a full english breakfast with a broken yoke of a fried egg,and guess what?thats what they produced at breakfast,you could not eat it.

The noise at the front of the hotel was deafening and went on till 3am then started again at 7am wow great nights sleep.some of the saff seemed willing to work but alot were not prepared to put themselves out.

Definately not a hotel for a relaxing break and feel sorry for those who have and are going to take children.

What a fantastic holiday, the hotel was the best as far as I am concerned, not much in entertainment only seem to be bingo and karaoke by the pool.

You cannot fault the cleanliness of this hotel. There is always one of the cleaners sweeping floors, mopping etc.
The food wasn't great. If you like pizza and chips then youll be fine. Some of the food looked half cooked which put us off. The soup is lovely though. There is not really much for breakfast we thought so ended up eating out most of the time.

The location is right in the centre of the main part of sunny beach, however on a night time it is really really noisy with the music coming from the surrounding bars.
The hotel staf are ok. They do not speak much english but you get used to that eventually. When in the bar they come straight to your table so you didnt have to move that was good!!

We didn't have any entertainment on while we were there as it has all started when we come home.
I would not visit this hotel again as I would like to have a look at some of the other ones.

My partner and myself have just returned fromm Sunny Beach.

The Globus Hotel was excellent. Like others read reports before we travelled and like some others didn't really know what to expect.

Let me tell you the entire holiday was absolutely fantastic. Hotel: Great Location
Staff: Very friendly and helpful (Especially Mel)
Maids: Could not fault them

I don't know what some people expect for their money and what standards they expect. This holiday was great value for money and standards excellent.

To back up what I have just written - only been home 3 days and off tomorrow to book for next year.

Can't wait to get back there.

I stayed in Hotel Globus it was very clean and the staff was very friendly I think it was in a ideal place because its right next to the beach and shops.

If you are going to Bulgaria Sunny Beach I think you should stay in this hotel because its one off the best for the price and what you get for it.

When we first arrived here we was surprised at how popular the place actually is. The Globus is fantastically situated right in the action, but if you want a quiet night in don't be expecting much because of the loud noise from bars below.

We went half board, but regret this option as we had to eat basic warm food....basically rubbish. However there is the al a carte restaurant that served good food.

The cleanliness of the hotel was not a problem, brilliant!

Staff could have been a little bit on the friendly side in the hotel and the entertainment was found on the streets not the hotel itself.

I wouldn't visit this hotel again, neither resort as we prefer it in Turkey where we've been on holiday for the past 6 years!

The globus hotel is very well run and hotel which is immaculate and very clean. On arrival the reception staff insist on a Porter taking you to your room (so they get a tip) no matter what time you arrive.

We arrived a 05:00am and still had to wait on a Porter who was working on his own trying to get 6 families to their room.

We booked a family room which was very large, and had ample living space. The maid service was very good.

The hotel food is fine, i had read reports about how bad it was, however i found it to be fine. A lot of meat dishes, chips pizza etc. But there is salad available as well.

The waiting staff in the hotel restaurant are brilliant and can't do enough for you.

The hotel staff are fine, the bar staff and waitresses and very good and work very hard. Always a service with a smile.

There is no entertainment in the hotel, however there is plenty on your doorstep to make your own. There is not ot for kids to do, and after a while a little boredom sets in for them.

I had read before i went about the dirty sheet scam. Please be aware i was hit with a 20 LEVA bill on leaving the hotel for a marked sheet and pillow, which they said came from a henna tattoo, however, we never had one. If you get marked bedding from the maids please report it to reception as you will,be charged for it when you leave, and if you don't pay they will not issue your little certificate for passport control.

We arrived at the Hotel to be amazed by the size and how up market it appeared.... Little did we know, the first Member of staff we met did what they had to do then got a porter to take us to our room, when we got to our room it was clean and adequate for two adults - we went onto the balcony which was wonderful overlooking the beach and beautiful sea just as we had wanted - Perfect !! - we off loaded all the bags then went to find our friends who were on the floor below, we were well impressed with their room it was massive with a Queen size bed a sofa bed and two big arm chairs that were fold down beds, very nice.

We were all hungry and as the food did not start until around 7.30 we took a stroll out and about we needed food drink & a fag - we went to the nearest shop first to try and get Marlboro Lights & B&H..... they do not sell these fags they old sell their own which if you are a smoker you will understand the frustration this caused for 4 smokers, we then went for a meal opposite the hotel - looked quite nice, we ordered 3 steaks & one spaghetti carbonara - none of us ate the food it was cold tasted not good at all.

We left the restaurant to have a look round the resort - to find lots and lots of beggars mainly Gypsy people, the children walk straight infront of you - the people that did give them money that money goes straight to the mother who is wating on the side line, eating smoking or sleeping whilst her children run around in the sweltering sunshine with no food or drink - it was terrible.

Then as the day went on we ventured back towards the hotel to see what we were going to get for Evening Meal - We took one look and that was enough to put you off - the smell was not nice and the food was just like unidentified slop, it looked bad but tasted even worse I could not tell you what we were eating, the breakfast was just as bad a few days into the holiday I was running to the toilet every 5 minuets and felt really unwell - after 3 diocalm my other 1/2 went to the pharmacy just outside the hotel who gave him 3 lots of treatment which we were unsure what they were for but I took them and eventually I got better - but this put me off the food in this Hotel immediately -

Few days later we ate out at another restaurant and were ok, then as my apetite had gone to more or less nothing my other 1/2 went to the restaurant a the hotel 3.30am the following morning was violently sick and the other end by 4.30 we had decised it be best to call the Doctor out - 30mins later we found him he took us to the surgery where he was put on a drip - things could not of got much worse he had food poisoning - they put him on the drip on and off for 3 days until he had stopped being poorly !

All I can say is Never Again will I visit and would certainly not reccomend sunny beach or globus to anyone - the crazy thing is I read all the reports before going to Bulgaria - and thought to myself well there are some fussy folk, and now I know why we landed back in Birmingham on 02/10/04 - and Kissed the floor.

Just returned from the Globus. Hotel is in an excellent location and is very clean. Bar staff are very friendly but the same cannot be said of reception or restaurant staff. Food was absolutely disgusting with no choice at all for children. Not enough sun beds for a hotel of this size, I felt like a German with getting up at 7 a.m. to put our towels out! No entertainment and kids club is in a completely different hotel - despite the fact that a childrens play room is on site. Would return if the food and entertainment were put right.

Excellant Hotel, Shame about the food which was not very good. Brillant location, Right next to the beach. We found the staff to be very friendly. Entertainment -none at all. We had towels changed everyday and maid cleaned everyday. Facilties very good, Bowling alley, 2 pools ( 1 indoor) Table tennis and an excellant deal on buy one get one free in the lobby bar.

We would certainly vist this hotel again.
