Location
The hotel was clean as were the rooms. The maids work really hard, but the rest was rotten. To start with after we signed in we were given bands and our key for the room. Nobody told us where the rooms were or how to get there, eventually the porter came and showed us, the next morning we went for breakfast, it was cold and had to be reheated in microwave.
The waiting staff hardly spoke any English.

We booked an all-inclusive holiday and were bitterly disappointed. Hotel looked great, rooms kept immaculate by very hard working maids.
HOWEVER - food was appalling, as a result a large number of people became ill, myself included. Local doctor confirmed this was a recurring problem from this hotel. Bar staff were very rude and reception staff extremely unhelpful. Security staff were disciplined for assaulting children in the hotel - overall what should have been a great holiday was nothing short of awful.
Snacks restricted to a couple of hours a day as was the ice cream. Many guests spoke to rep but he could not speak Bulgarian and manager of hotel allegedly spoke no English - not very likely!
To say my daughter and I were disappointed is an immense understatement - take my advice - go somewhere else.

It was a disaster from the start, it took us 45 minutes just to check in, then when we did we was given our key and not told where to go or how to get there.
As for all inclusive thats a joke, its more like full board, you get the food and drink free everything else your have to pay for...
We took two teenagers and there was nothing at this hotel for them at all, if they wanted to play tennis we had to pay 25lev to hire the court, 5 lev for the rackets and 3 lev for the balls...
The trampoline cost 2 lev for 10 minutes and you had to pay 3 lev for the wirlpool, although this is cheap you don't expect to pay extra for these.
The hotel was clean and very modern, but !!!! the bar had 14 tables and you could only fit about 30 people in there, no music either just a TV which the bar staff used to watch bulgarian quizz shows. One night I could not even get a beer as they had run out.......
The bar staff fell out of the no personality tree and hit every branch on the way down, talk about miserable and unfriendly.
Food was terrible we ended up going out and eating even though we were all inclusive.
The staff at the hotel, well talk about a bad day at the office, they all were miserable and unhelpfull.
Entertainment, what entertainment bingo !!!
The pool entertainment was no good for the teenagers as the entertainment was aimed at adults ......
When trying to book the room for a few hours more they would only except cash and when we told the lady behind the counter we would need to go and get some cash out of a cash mashine she accused us of waisting her time and waved a recite for the room in our face
Even a rep called chris agreed that the food was poor in this hotel.
Do yourself a favour do not stay at this hotel.....

The food was cold and more German orientated than English, there's only so much you can do with chicken!
The cleaning staff were excellent, the bar staff were very miserable you'd be lucky to get a smile.
The lobby bar is tiny you could fit 50 in at a push if you sat there from about 5p.m you could get a seat.
Entertainment was a joke they played bingo and if you won you'd get a kids club t-shirt or a CD!

Food was dissapointing as we had food poisoning after three days. Food was repetitive only good thing was the pancakes and jacket potatoes.
Hotel staff were ok but due to lack of english speaking -seemed ignorant.
Entertainment was non existent, best bet was to go out in sunny beach and make your own entertainment but watch out for gypsy kids and loose animals. The location was acceptable and if you love shopping get the bargains!

The food was the same thing morning, noon and night, there wasn't much choice if you don't like to try different things.
The location is fab, plenty of shops and bars nearby and the beach about ten minutes walking distance.
The staff left a lot to be desired, they didn't want to know if you had any problems or questions to ask.
There was a bit of entertainment round the pool in the day but at night there was hardly any, you had to go out to find things to do. They had games like bingo in the lobby bar but you could only get around 50 people in at a push.

We arrived very late at night and went to the reception desk to get our room keys. Not one of the staff smiled, just gave us our keys and moved onto the next customer. We didnt have a clue where our rooms were so just started wandering. Eventually we found them but what a start to the holiday.
In the morning we were all excited to go and see what the breakfast was like. I was excited to see that they did pancakes so i queued for what seemed forever for 2 small pancakes. The chef who was cooking them kept staring at me and my sister like we were morons and when i said thank you he scowled, yet when a German kid snatched the plate off him he laughed.
After breakfast we had a wander around the hotel grounds and were pleases to see things like tennis courts, trampoline and a giant chess board. We started to play with the giant chess board and a man came running over saying we had to pay. I said the hotel was All Inclusive so this should mean the facilities should be included but we were told everything had to be paid for even the use of the Jacuzzi.
At dinner time we wandered over to the restaurant only t be met by slop. I know Bulgarians eat their food quite warm but they should cater for all nationalities, the hotel we stayed in the previous year had piping hot food. We complained to the Thomson rep about the cold food and also about the 'bleeding' chickens and were told that there was nothing she could do about it.
The bar staff were just as rude as the pancake chef. They served Germans first even if you were there before them. We were told by our rep that this was the first year it had been open to the English and it would just need getting used to.
Considering we went All Inclusive we eat out loads which is not too bad as it is so cheap to eat out over there but thats not the point. When you pay a lot of moeny to go All Inclusive you dont epect to have to eat out.
The entertainment was a joke. They tried to sqaush all the guests on a tiny veranda and all they did was play bingo which was a joke as they didnt say the numbers in English. Luckily i knew German.
The pool seemed really clean but if you got any in your mouth it seemed to taste a little funny. On our last day there we decided to go for a walk. We went to McDonalds and i started to feel funny. My whole body went numb and i couldnt feel my legs. I had a panic attack in McDonalds as i couldnt open my mouth to eat. We went back to the hotel were i deteriated considerably. The rest of the family were really worried that i wouldnt be able to fly so they hid me from the rep.
At the airport i was again hidden but i didnt really notice as i could barely keep my eyes open. On the flight i was violently sick which worried my family even more. Once back home i was immediately rushed to hospital where i was told i had a serious kidney infection. I was placed on a drip for a week. The dr asked where i had been and he said it was likely i caught my infection from the hotel pool.
I have since read reviews of people who were also sick and placed on a drip from the same hotel and were told it was probably the pool.
My advice for people thinking of going to this hotel is dont! There are much nicer hotels such as Riu Evrika. For people who are already booked to this hotel i would suggest you change it as you will not enjoy your holiday!

It is slightly out of the centre of Sunny Beach, but within easy reach of everything.
The rooms were clean and of a good size.
The bathroom was clean and of good size.
The facilities were good - TV, fridge, hairdryer.
Our room overlooked the pool.
What a great pool. Plenty of sunbeds. No sunbeds can be reserved with towels before 9am so there was chance for everyone to get one.
Three bars open 10am - 12midnight.
Buffet food in restaurant. For all inclusive food was of a good standard and variety.
Three on site restaurants - chicken, fish and pizza. can use as many evenings as you want as long as you book day before. Pizza also open lunchtimes - no booking required. Pizza's great too.
The entertainment staff tried their best but entertainment weak compared to other hotels. However this did not bother us as we went out most evenings for a walk and there is entertainment in the resorts bars.
Would definately book to stay at this hotel again.

Got to room which was very clean and spacious with balcony, carpet, air conditioning and a large shower.
We were not impressed by the food as the variety was poor and they seemed to be able to make everything out of chicken. The kids didn't like it either but you could eat out and have a great meal with drinks for a family of four and not spend more than

As we entered our room it was very very clean and had a large double bed, a sofa, a huge shower, a t.v and a balcony.
The pool was fab!! It was a large pool with seats around the bar were you could sit whilst in the pool and have a drink!
The biggest negative point about the hotel was the food! most things made were aimed at the Germans who were staying at the hotel. Same things everyday!
It is really good to eat out I would definitely recommend the steak house opposite the Barcardi bar!
