Refurbished for Summer 2004, hotel Pomorie is extremely well positioned on the edge of the sand dunes which lead on to the long golden beach and just a few minutes walk to the lively resort centre.

My husband & I stayed for two weeks from 26th September 2004. We were on allocation on arrival basis and were told it was 2* accommodation.

Our room was very clean, bright & airy, ok, not exactly huge, but at the end of the day all you need it for is to sleep & shower. The bathroom was spotless. We were in the old block on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool area. There was no fridge or tv, but I doubt we would have used them even if they were supplied. We were more than please with our room.

The pool area was very pleasant, and bar staff courteous. All the tables around the eating area of the pool were kept clear of glasses & plates. It seemed a bit unfair though that guests were expected to pay for their sun loungers, but as we learnt, this is the case for all hotels on Sunny Beach.

If you changed bars throughout the night you could have happy hour (buy one get one free) from 4pm right through to the early hours.

Apart from the odd snack I had with a beer, the only food I ate at the hotel was at breakfast. The only fault I can report is about the rude and ignorant guests who seemed to think there wasn

My partner and I stayed in Hotel Pomorie the last fortnight of August 2004. Having originally booked for a lower standard hotel, we found it a pleasant surprise to be upgraded to this hotel.

Part of the hotel has been completely refurbished for 2004 and we were lucky enough to be placed in this new section-Pomorie 2. We had spoken to other guests who were in Pomorie 1 and they found the rooms rather cramped. Our room was far bigger than we would have ever needed with plenty of storage space for our clothes and toiletries. The room had sea facing balcony, extremely clean bathroom and television & fridge which are payable at reception.

The newly refurbished part of the hotel faces onto a main road, which passes by the hotel. On this road are bars and the local night-club, there is extremely loud music all day and night from these bars, although it is turned down in stages, coming to a close around 3am or 4am. This isn

If you are looking for a relaxing holiday then this hotel is not for you. Noise, noise and more noise 24 hours a day. I was travelling with a child and our room was situated above one of the hotel bars. I continuously requested that the music be turned down and was told that as the bars were owned by a separate company there was nothing that the hotel could do about it. Eventually on day 10 we were moved to the new block where we were able to sleep.

I booked this hotel as this was where the Balkan Kiddie Club was based. The club ran only 2 hours a day and out of the 8 activities 4 had to be paid for - a rip off. e.g. the kiddie disco costing

I have just returned home a week early to escape from the constant noise (banging doors, unruly guests, bar and pool music, often from guests still swimming and carrying on at 2am) at this hotel - if you don't want to sleep this is the place for you. As for the restaurant, it was miles away from the rooms and when we did reach it, it was extremely busy and the food was poor to say the least. The sunbeds were also extortionately expensive, but the only good point was that the beach was very close by.

We found this hotel to be very clean. The maids were in every day to clean. The staff we found to be very friendly and the food was excellent. There was a huge selection of food to choose from in the morning , there was something for everyone including ice cream!

The hotel was situated at a good bit close to the beach and many bars, shops and resturants. Unfortunately this was a draw back as well because it was exceptionally noisy at nightime. The hotel did have double glazing doors separating the bars, but unless they were closed behind people the noise levels were horrendous. I don't think i would have taken very small children here as they may have had trouble sleeping at night also if you were a very light sleeper you may have trouble. Having said that we were situated on the ground floor right beside a bar so it might not have been as noisy on the upper floors and the floors to the back of the hotel. All in all we had a great stay here and we didn't find it too difficult sleeping through the noise. we would go there again.

We found the room to be small but clean. Not enough draw space for clothes, but refurbished too a good standard. We stayed on the 4th floor the only complaint's really are the doors having to be slammed shut, because some of the room doors fitted badly. Was woken a few times early hours with this.

We went for breakfast on the first morning found this not good never had breakfast there again.

The people at the hotel were very friendly and I did have a great time.

The hotel was basic but clean, the noise from the bars and adjacent pubs was unreal, 24 hours a day,
the location was to close to the pubs, some staff were ok others were not,not for me I,m afraid.

We arrived at the hotel during the night and was greeted by really unfriendly staff. The hotel was really clean and bathroom spotless (I have a phobia about dirty bathrooms).

We were on a B&B basis and never tried the breakfast once as heard from other guests that it was terrible.

The Hotel at night was quiet and never really heard any noise. This may be as we were over looking the pool. Other guests may have heard noise who were over looking the street.

The hotel never had any entertainment the whole 2 weeks we were there which I thought was poor considering I had a 3 year old wee boy who was too young for the kiddie club.
