Wow what a great hotel.
Just two things let it down. Food not so good and zero entertainment.

From outside this hotel looks great but it goes downhill afterwards. The dining room is too small for the number of guests, with table crammed together (that is if you can get one).
Before eating you have to clear away the previous guests dishes, for eating utensils you have to wash your own first, but after the first night it is not worth the hassle as the food is really dire and uneatable (Cold Soup, every veal dish you can think of, and greasy sausage)As for the staff a more surly bunch you couldn't meet anywhere.
If you do decide to go here please make sure you have insurance as you will need it when you visit the doctor with a stomach upset.

After reading a selection of reviews before we went I was not expecting too much. However I was presently surprised as the rooms bright clean large and showers always hot
8. 45 good time to go for breakfast as mad rush at 9 15 on wards. People moaned about lack of tables and cutlery but still joined the queues each day at 9 15 crazy dinner best at 7 15 or earlier if young children as opens 5 30
give maids 10 lev when you first can and will be well looked after. Restaurants out and about hit and miss leave Chinese alone they can't do it at all. Best restaurants we found where Italian and Mexican next to MacDonald's in main area fellipos I think is name of Italian superb roast beef dish 4 can have 3 courses wine and drinks total bill less than 40 pounds. It's great value people are friendly you will have a great time

We stayed on half board basis. We ate there 2-3 times my favourite was cauliflower and chips both cold! Having a young son with us and my husband falling ill after the first day we could not risk our sons health so we had to spend

This hotel looks impressive on arrival, but after you pass the big chandelier everything goes downhill rapidly.
There are 228 sunbeds for 1900 people, I was advised by the tour rep that there were 1900 people booked into hotel and apartments during my stay. Guests were up at 6 o clock to get sunbeds and had to sit on them or take shifts, otherwise security kept taking the towels off, some of the security then put on there own towels and kept them for themselves until they finished their shift.
The cleaners work like slaves with someone standing over them, the dining room is worse than faulty towers, everybody waiting to get a table, no tables cleaned, maybe 20 people waiting for a plate, people wandering around looking for a fork, knife or spoon. You have to watch your salt or pepper shaker if you get one. All cutlery is chipped, no cup or saucer, people giving out looking for a clean cup, then some plastic cups might be used if you are lucky.

Victoria Palace is a fantastic place to stay more of a family holiday. It is a very clean hotel, people come round everyday making up your beds and giving you clean towels.
Hotel food is good they have a buffet and they have different sections, also a special children's section. The location is wonderful you are about five minutes away from the local water park and it is amazing great family fun day out, and as you leave the back of the hotel you are on the beach its is lovely to be so close to it.
Hotel staff is excellent I would say that it is strong in the restaurant, reception and in the bar mainly, everyone is polite and helpful and you can see that it is a very well looked after hotel by the security so you feel very safe its is fantastic.
I would definitely visit the hotel again but not so sure with my family I would come with a group of friends.

We were a little worried about staying here after reading so many bad reviews on it. However we weren't disappointed and had a fantastic holiday.
The food was your average 'holiday resort' food but there are plenty of restaurants to visit very close by so if you are fussy or want a change of scenery you can go elsewhere.
The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding and the cleaners literally never stopped.
The location was perfect, right next to the beach so if you aren't so sad as to get up at 6am to sit on a sun bed you can find plenty of loungers there. We however chose to sit at the bar on the Havanas and put lilo's on the floor. You need drinks throughout the day anyway so why not get table service while sunbathing!
Please don't be put off staying at this hotel, people will always write bad things about everything but to be honest, when you are on holiday you expect things to be different from England and some people obviously don't like that?!

What can I say about this hotel? Well upon arriving you'll probably think you have really made an excellent choice.....Think Again!!
The lobby area looks great. A massive chandelier, Maid's sweeping up everywhere, decor amazing..."We're really in a palace" - not. This is as good as it gets. Believe me.
The food is ok. - Just ok. The service is absolutely appalling. You would think that you had inconvenienced the staff when you ask for something, for example a knife and a fork. - They're attitude is really, really bad and stinks. Chipped plates, and cups. 5 star? - Absolutely no way.3 plus at absolute best.
Cleaners - ok but sometimes we had to wait 4 days before the bed sheets were changed. When we complained to the rep the cleaners complained to us about complaining!!
Sun beds??? - Well be prepared to get up very early in the morning. - I used to get up at 6.45 every morning and have to sit on the bed because the security staff would sweep them on the hour. On arriving the hotel looked spectacular. Got to our rooms fairly prompt, which were very clean, with a nice bathroom and lovely view with a good size balcony... (no complaints in this area)
The following morning going to breakfast, was a nightmare- tables hadn't been laid, cutlery was always dirty and chipped. their was plenty of food to go round, but wasn't really to out taste and a bit samey.
Pool area, very nice, however...you could only get a sunbed if you was up before 6am (no exaggeration!) 1900 people and only 250 sunbeds, really bad. This wasn't really a problem because we are more beach lovers, but they had a cheek charging us for the sunbeds on the beach every morning, and with a party of 6, we had spent out a lot money on sunloungers over the 2 week period...this was also not stated by cosmos.
The Bulgarian staff were all very rude. There want one person we felt was polite. They were just awful.
We will NOT be visiting Bulgaria ever again!!!

Just back after a brill two weeks in this hotel. We loved everything about it. The rooms are large and comfortable with twin beds and sofa (turns into bed if needed). The decor/furnishing all over the hotel is beautiful and very impressive. They are cleaning all day over.
The food we found great, lots of choice both at breakfast and evening meal, and not chips every night. We took advantage of the early opening at evening meal (5.30) and found the food to be hot and fresh.
I think maybe the complaints in previous reports maybe if the restaurant was used later when it was busier. The pool area is lovely although I agree with the shortage of sunbeds.
We did notice that the Life guard and security did go and remove towels from unattended beds on most mornings, and also saw the hotel manager asking to see room keys of people using the beds.
We didnt bother with the pool as there was a large party of us and it was easier to use the beach. for families who like a kids club and daytime and evening activities this is not the hotel for you as there is nothing available. Again this didnt bother us,our kids are older and the resort has loads to offer.
We are booking this hotel again for next year. Dont be put off by reviews go and give it a chance I think you will be surprised.
