This holiday was the best we've had!!!!

On arrival were greeted by the friendly staff who took care of our luggage & handed everybody a well deserved ice style drink.

Staff were fantastic - couldn't ask for nicer people.

The beach was fantastic, staff out very early every morning raking it.

Rooms were cleaned everyday & mini bar restocked everyday. The boys did their best to keep the pool "bug free" cleaning & scooping out flies etc every half an hour or so.

Food was fantastic, plenty to choose from, even if your a fussy eater there is sooooo much choice.

Evening entertainment was good, disco didn't open until 11pm & by then we were a little to tired & full of cocktails & food to even think about dancing!

All in all a superb hotel, couldn't fault any areas as at all. Were so impressed we are going to another Iberostar for our honeymoon!!!!!

The hotel was clean but some areas within the grounds could have been cleaner, the hotel staff were very friendly, the entertainers wer excellent but it became repetative, you could not escape the entertainment it would have been nice if there was a quiet bar.

You had to fight for sun lounger matts in the morning as they would not give you any more than 2 even if there were 3 people, nor could you leave the lounger or they would take every thing off this went on from 8am till 9.30am.

4 out of 6 of our party got a tummy bug. Apart from all this it was an enjoyable holiday.

We stayed at the Iberostar Costa Dorado March 2005.

The food is very good plenty of choice always hot
the rooms are a good size geat wardrome space nice sized bathroom.

Staff are very friendly always helpful and very cheerful
there are lots of sports during the day vollyball, waterpolo, tabletennis, tennis two minutes from the hotel there is a golf course.

Evening entertaiment is not that good but alot of effort goes into it by the Starfriends. There are lots of trips you can do we swam with the dolphins and did the sealion encounter a must, brillant!
We also did a 20 minute helicoptor ride worth it for the experience!

We would recommend this hotel to anyone the teenagers in our party had a blast and so did we.

Entertainment: amazing, the starfriends made the holiday fun and axciting, put on fab shows everynite. thanks to Wilson, Tuntun, Scooby, Cucurulu, Flor, Cesar, Fransico and Victor for making our holiday as fab as it was!

Best holiday ever, would recommend it to everyone and will definately return soon.

Well I dont know where to start!!! This was the best ever holiday I have ever been on!!! The hotel was stunning! You walk in and right in the centre of the reception is a pond thingy with little turtles in it!! sooo cute!! lol

The food was absolutly amazing!! Everynight a new meal...and you can eat 24/7 even after the club at 2am just ask for your burger and the chef will get you one :D lol

Then you walk through to be greeted by the friendly flamingos wandering about!! Its paradise!!
The staff are all brilliant...as soon as you get off of the coach you are greeted with the biggest smiles possible!

As for the day time entertainment....well the star friend absolutly made our holiday!! They are the loudest, craziest most nicest people you will ever hope to meet!! They try and get people involved with games but if you dont want to play just say no thanks...plese dont be mean to them...they are just doing their job!! Big hugs etc go out to Cucurulu, Scooby, Tuntun and Wilson for being the funniest people ever!! An even bigger to our buddie flower (fFor) she spends all day by the pool changing people's towels...dont be mean to her if you lose your towel its not her fault if she's not allowed to give you a free one...shes the best!!! If you go there tell her dani and laura say hi :D.

The evening entertainment was wicked cool!! a different show everynight...and they really put a lot of effort into them...and remember to be loud and cheer well loads...dont be embarressed (just think what its like to walk out infront of loads of people and no one cheers) do it for the star friends!! Before and after each show all the starfriends get you to dance with them!! its amazing how they can all dance lol!!! Even Victor and Isaac the youngest of the bunch!! its a great laugh!!


At 11pm the club opens!! Route 66!! its a great laugh...the dj is so cool!! and when you go in..its nice to say hi to the door man Juan Carlos...he is very friendly but most people just ignore him!! make sure you get up and dance its really fun!! dont worry about people laughing!! You prob wont see them again!!!!!

When we arrived at the hotel we were amazed at how big it was! Reception was gorgeous and we were given a nice cool drink while we checked in! We had arrived a few hours early so our rooms weren't ready but the staff showed us to the bars and restaurants so we could relax while we waited.

Our room was directly facing the beach which was amazing to wake up to every morning!

The hotel was always clean and I didn't see one bug in our room and we were there for 3 weeks.

The Star friends were what made our holiday they work so hard and are so friendly, we were a bit unsure because we were a couple who don't like to play all the games but they didn't pester us at all but stil came round us to chat and involve us.

Food was really good so much variety you could eat all day if you wanted!

The shows at night were really funny.

The location was ideal as the pool got really hot(which was great) and the beach had a lovely breeze when it got too hot.

I have no complaints whatsoever about this hotel infact I've already got the brochures to go next year.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in October and it was our first visit to the Dom Rep but not the Caribbean.

I agree with all the reviews that say the hotel is lovely and the food was good, the staff were some of the hardest working I have had anywhere and we never waited for a drink or a plate removing in the buffet restaurant.

Our only let down was the behaviour of some British guests. We may have been unlucky but smoking in the pool, fighting is not my idea of holiday entertainment

The hotel was only a short 15 min drive in a semi-air conditioned coach, upon arrival everything seemed to point to a great holiday the reception area was large and looked great checking in was fairly quick and painless, my girlfriend and I were banded up and away to our rooms we went by golf cart.

This is where we started to feel a little disappointed as our room was not what we requested as we were given a twin room which didn't make any sense seeing as there were only two of us but anyway the room looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a month so we promptly called reception and asked to be moved and to all their credit did so quickly, our next room was somewhat better but I would say a 3* equivalent.

I have read a few reviews about the food not being to good but I have to say I don't think we had a bad meal there with lots to chose from although if you don't tip you don't get the service of an alleged 4*+ hotel.

Please be aware of the "Star Friends" these people are a bunch of muppets that are your day entertainment who constantly walk around shouting at the top of their voices "my friend I love you" and tend not to take no for an answer when they try to involve you in activities around the pool.....now don't get me wrong this is fine if you like that sort of thing but if you come to this resort as a couple and want to just relax and sunworship then you have chosen the wrong resort.

The evening shows which involves the dancers are well thought out and a lot of hard work goes into them but then up pop the "Star Friends" or "Star Muppets" again which I must say try to take advantage of most teenage girls so parents you have been warned.........! Within our stay we witnessed a number of complaints from angry Mum's or Dad.
