Location
The food was lovely and the kids ate well too.
The hotel is situated on a strip with other big hotels and we feel by far it was a good location with one of the best hotel beaches.
On arrival staff were very friendly, reception staff however had at some times a split personality, nice one minute and not the next,
The Entertainment team were fantastic with the kids, the entertainment lasts all throughout the day for adults(water aerobics, volleyball, games, water polo) and the kids club from 10am-12noon, then 3pm-5pm, evening entertainment starts at 9pm with a kids mini disco, bingo and then a show from 10pm, all of which were great fun(the whole team works really hard to get everyone going), don't miss the mimic show, comedy show or the hypnotist show!

Rooms were adequate but worth the extra paid for a sea view - although for the time you spend in them, I don't think there would have been much noise from the front facing rooms. These were cleaned every day with towel changes. Staff in all areas we found to be friendly.
The entertainment team worked hard to include everyone but were not pushy - thanks to Dhali, Will, Eddie, Tony, Patric, lynne and Leanne who were delighted if you joined them but equally happy to stop for a chat if you intended a quieter day than they had planned.
There were 3 pools including a small 'baby' pool - the large one was used for everyone with the middle size for adults only - this would have been safer for younger children as the large pool required supervision at all times if older childern (6 - 8_ who were too big for the childs pool were just about learning to swim)
Weddings were no problem - they were discreet
There was plenty room for everyone even at full capaity although admittedly the ago old problem of towels on sunbeds was a pain - but if you can't beat them .............

Rooms are old and badly need updating the same is true for the rest of the hotel.
The reception area doubles up as a bar and all the seats are stained and very often wet from people sitting in wet pool clothes. The air-conditioning the restaurant and bar areas is very poor or not existent.
Getting a sunbed is a nightmare towels are down from 6.30am, and finding a sunbed that isn

The hotel was clean but the week I went the air conditioning was faulty and leaking but they sorted that out in a couple of days. There were a few things wrong in our room but the staffs in the hotel were very quick to sort it out.
The animation team were brilliant thanks to Will, Eddie, Patrick, Tony, Leanne and Lynn. All of them are hard working. Will is the head of the animation team, Eddie and Leanne are the sports entertainers and Tony does volley ball, table tennis and archery and he

Staff very friendly, the animation team were very good, and were very funny, Eddie cool, Patrick friendly and Leanne and Lynn very good with the kids. All of them work very hard to entertain the guests.
Food was top class, I filled my plate every lunch and night every day. I would love to stay at the hotel again 4 star for definitely.

I don't understand the complaints about the food, we didn't find it all repetitive - there was meat, fish, veg, pasta, numerous salads, what more do people want. We used the main restaurant for lunch as well, but after a few days just resorted to having tasty salads and dessert!!!
The Entertainment Team were superb, in fact they made the holiday. Not too pushy and would stop for a chat, which was nice. My husband actually got hypnotised and was the "star of the show". He also joined in Mr Ledra Beach, but didn't win. I'm not one for attention seeking, but it was all in good fun. I am not one for drinking and quite liked the idea of having a hot drink just before bed.
It was our 20th Wedding Anniversary and we used the A La Carte restaurant, had plenty of champagne, a nice menu and the cheeseboard - all in all we had a very pleasant evening.
I found the cleaners did a thorough job, because where we sunbathed we could actually watch them cleaning the room and the balcony. Yes the bathrooms do need updating, but they were cleaned every day. The mini-fridge was checked daily and stock replenished.
My dad would get up at 6 a.m. every morning and sit on his balcony which was right by the Entertainment "box" and the gardeners would tidy up after the night before, (some guests do leave a terrible mess) and the theatre was always swept clean. They would swill the paths and empty the bins also.
My husband would get up for a swim at 7 a.m. every day and the poolman would be checking and cleaning the three pools. The water aerobics was also entertaining with Wiil, and worked off some of the food!! Reading the other reviews it seems as though everything went to "pot" during August!!! We came home on the 8th August.
I would certainly go back.

The bed was enormous being over 6' wide and very comfortable. The room was very clean and plenty big enough. Some people did tell us that their rooms needed updating, but even they were still happy with the hotel.
The food was excellent lots of choice and well presented. The hotel grounds are maintained beautifully and you have by far got the best beach compared to the other hotels in the immediate area.
The hotel is directly on the beach with a lovely beach bar and free sunbeds and brollys on the beach. The staff were really friendly we would definately visit the hotel and the area again.
The only down side was that there were weddings virtually every day, the day the world cup started there were 9 weddings that day! Makes for a noisey evening but great for people watching!

Upon arrival we were allocated 2 ground floor rooms. We asked to be moved to a higher floor (personal prefrence). There was no problem with this and we were offered a selection of rooms to choose from. The rooms were adiquitely sized especially the family room. The rooms could do with a little TLC, replacement shower heads. But were addiquitely decet out with all you need. And the mini bar was great, all included too. And we recieved compementry freash fruit and wine too.
The choice of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was great. Freashly made omellet, pancakes a carvery something to suit all. You could eat all day if you wished!
The hotel is situated in an ideal location, not too near to the main area of the resort and within an easy walking distance taking you 20 min to lazely walk to the harbour along the beach pathway (good for walking off all the great food we ate). There is also regular public transport which drops off more or less right out side the hotel. The pool area is clean and a variety of entertainment put on to keep you active if you wish. The entertainment team were genuienly freindly and a fun bunch.
All of the reception staff were very helpful and polite as were the maids. The bar staff in the hotel at night could have been a little more attentive and smile from time to time.
A thoughrly enjoyable and relaxing holiday.

The food was absoloutely superb, we could not fault it. There was a great selection and always something for everyone (we are fussy eaters!)
The maids cleaned everyday and although the fixtures and fittings were old, there were kept clean. The only complaint about the room was that it was way too small for a family of 4. We had a camp bed and cot as well as the twin beds.
The location of the hotel was ok but quite a walk to the town and harbour although there is a nice seafront path that leads all the way from hotel to harbour. Its about a 35 - 40 min walk. There are regular buses that stop more or less outside the hotel that do go into town.
The staff were friendly and polite and loved the children.
The entertainment staff worked hard although what they organised wasnt our thing. My daughter loved the kids club although they could have probably done with more staff to run it.
I would definately visit this hotel again.

Room OK, got the double bed that we had requested, mostly clean, but the bathroom showing bad signs of ageing (cracked tiles, mouldy grouting, loose fixtures).
Small balcony overlooking the Riu hotel next door (we hadn't asked for a sea view)
Daily maid service and we got a daily change of towels!
Food,we were on AI but ate out of the hotel on five of our seven nights...
Breakfast - typical buffet, no problems - there is an egg station where you can get omelettes or fried eggs - ask for them to be flipped if you don't like runny white over your yolk.As usual, the bacon is streaky and the sausages and beans aren't "English" but you should find enough there to set you up for the day...
Lunch - we did the pool bar buffet every day, same salads every day, but a fairly good variety of hot foos on offer, washed down with a couple of beers and more than adequate!
Free ice creams, fruit and soft drinks for kids on AI
Evening meal - well like I said, we mostly avoided it, overall felt like a huge school canteen with tables crammed together and absolutely no chance of having "a quiet meal for two"
There is wine and beer on tap (the red wine is pumped through a chiller and comes out fizzy and COLD - YUK!!
Most of the dishes are "stewed" although the is always a nightly carvery and a wok-type option, cooked individually for you as well as kebabs etc...
You wouldn't starve here, the ambiance just wasn't our thing.
One well-kept secret is the "a la carte" meal served in the poolside bar on a wednesday night - you have to book and tables are VERY limited - but the food is great - book as soon as you arrive!
Just a word on the drinks...Local Keo beer and "Carlsberg" - local sipiits although some passable imitations, but NOT top shelf unless you pay the extra - and THAT is EXPENSIVE!!
Also the draught beer is WEAK - I got through 16 pints one evening and hardly got a buzz... the next night I had seven or eight in a local bar and was pleasantly merry!!
Location - almost the last hotel out of Paphos towards the airport, great for transfers (first off, last on) and not too far a walk to Paphos town along a flat road or windy sea path. (about 30 mins at normal walking pace).
Beach in need of some attention but there was a huge mound of sand that had been delivered and I think that this will be spread for the new season - there are rocks a couplle of inches down and the sea slopes away quite steeply onto submerged rocks - beware of letting children swim unsupervised.
Staff mostly friendly (only one or two grumpy ones) and the "animation team" work their socks off to get things going - they're not too pushy but there is plenty going on throughout the day.
The kids club seemed to be very popular.
Evening entertainment - well can't really comment but there was an evening disco for the kids, followed by bingo and at about 9:30 a show of sorts in the cabaret lounge (drag, magic, cats, variety etc...) not our sort of thing really, but see for yourselves.
The lounge has limited seating so you should get there early!
Usual downsides apply - towels out on sunbeds at ridiculous hours (Brits - not Germans!!) and then unoccupied for most of the day until hangovers had been slept off!
Some kids given free range around the pool with inflatables (even though there are CLEAR notices that these are NOT allowed).
The usual mixture and consequenses of the Brits abroad on unlimited free drink on AI deals!
One nice upside - our flight was from Exeter on the Wed at 07:30, flight home was 02:30 THURSDAY morning so we had a full days holiday AND an evening to enjoy, departing from the hotel at 00:10 hours THURS - the wristbands were honoured all this time and don't forget to book the courtesy room for changing/showering if you're on a late flight.
All in all not a bad experience, wouldn't recommend it for moody teenagers as there's not much for them, but as a last minute break it was ok for us but there are aother places to explore.
All in all
