There are two pools (a new, smaller one for this year). The bars (poolside, and in-hotel) serve drinks in plasic cups, and the gym is only available from 9am - 5pm. (also there is only one member of staff there, so if he's already giving a customer a massage or something, you might not be able to access the facilities).

The staff are pleasant, the food was nice. The rooms were of a decent size for 2 people. (But a family with 2 kids had to occupy the same style of room.)

The Thomas Cook evening entertainment was good. However the arrangement for children during the day was poor - with the activity hours coinciding with the designated lunch hours.

The second week was spoiled by the hotel being full beyond capcity. This was due to a local festival. However the hotel just could not cope with the amount of people in the accommodation. Despite having a second room available as a resturant this was never used! The hotel also didn't have enough staff to cope with the numbers. Although the staff tried very hard, and remained polite, they just couldn't cope!

We checked other hotels in the area. Although all claimed to be fully booked, they were nowhere near as crowded as this hotel.

I suspect the hotel is very nice (as per our first week). I would definitely advice people to avoid peak times, and to check the times of local festivals.

we went to pathian sun, never been to cyprus before and would definately go again, the weather was fantastic for late october and the apartments was big and was cleaned about 5 times a week, food was fantastic different theme every night, cyprus night one night then greek night then bbq night then chinese night etc can not fault the food at all.
the hotel is a bit out of it needing to get the bus but its one price to where ever 1.50 euros , we rented a car which was only 60 euros for 3 days from the car hire company next door.
The weather was fantastic 26 degrees every day what more can you ask for.

We went All inclusive and found the hotel to be excellent. The food was mostly very good and was themed every night into italian , chinese, greek, cypriot, bbq and cavery food. The breakfasts were also very good with a good choice. The location of the hotel I found to be good as you could either go into Paphos or Coral Bay, although there is not really alot around the hotel, a bar opposite and a few supermarkets within walking distance. The hotel staff were very good and friendly and the entertainment team worked hard all day to try and keep people entertained but were never pushy. The only complaint I could make is that the entertainment team played loud thumping music from about 11am around the pool, nearly all day. Sometimes people just want to sit quiet and read their books or just laze, but this is the only fault I can make. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We have just come back from a week's holiday at the Pafian Sun Holiday Village, myself, my husband and 7 year old daughter. I must admit that I was very worried about going to the Pafian after reading the reviews, however my fears did not materialise. We have all had a brilliant holiday. Our room was large but basic, it was cleaned 5 days out of 7 and the towels and bed linen changed 2/3 a week. We did not have to pay for the air conditioning which was needed because it was so hot.
My daughter went to the kids club every day and enjoyed it very much. The entertainment staff; Helen, Jen, John & Rich did an excellent job keeping both adults and children entertained day & night. The food in the restaurant was very good and I found the staff to be very pleasant & efficient. Everywhere in the complex was kept very clean & tidy.

we stayed in this hotel for a week and absolutely loved it! there was entertainment all the time starting from early in the morning with water aerobics, I did this whilst my husband used the onsite gym. we don't have any children but have said when we do we would def come back here for the entertainment and childrens clubs and facilities and we wont do the same place twice! my husband doesnt like fully inclusive as he says the food is always cheap and repetative but ive never seen him eat so much as he did here!room was still roomy and spacious enough

Does what it say on the tin!! Been here before 4 times and has pitfalls and good points. Going at this time you expect it to be busy and it is. Lots of getting up early for sun beds and this is mainly ~English which is quite suprising. Not mums getting up at 5 am but dads!! Reps work really hard and if you have small children they will love it and will want to go back time and time again. We are a couple so little bit hard work because it is packed however one week in July August for 500.00 each all inclusive you cannot grumble. Do watch out for being charged for air conditioning - you pay for all inclusive get this in writing before leaving the UK. Overall anyone who moans about this complex is fussy and overall all the people visiting were in general very pleasant.

Went for 1 week staff very nice. Good size rooms. Food was the best. Can't wait to go back in May. A few ants. Buses run most of the time, plus taxis are cheap.

Go here for a great holiday.

I recently returned from the Pafian Sun Village after spending a week there in the last week of September, first week of October.

First impressions - Arrived at night, met my friendly reception and given map to room. Being a single traveller i was suprised to open my door (20F) to a lovely spacious 1 bedroomed apartment. Could have easily housed 3. Far enough away from the entertainment stage but close enough to the pool, perfect.

Next morning woke up and first thing i did was check out the view. What can i say...stunning...a view over the ocean.
The Apartment was clean and had self catering facilities and even a hairdryer. I had read previous reports of ants so took my ant spray with me and gave the place a quick spray round for good measure. Didnt see any creepy crawlies in my apartment for the duration of my stay. Can see how maybe people on the ground floor might have problems as thier veranda's (instead of balconies) lead onto lovely gardens and flower beds. The area really is lovely and very well kept. Saw the maintainance man on several occasions gardening and he does a flippin good job!

Easily found a bed by the pool, hotel was, id guess, just over half full. Pool stunning, lovely and cool and the whole area clean and quiet. Mostly families and couples there. I only met one other person holidaying alone.

One word of warning. It happened to be Cyprus Independant day, so it was a bank holiday wknd whilst i was there. Would NEVER go again at this time.
From the Friday to the Monday the place literally got swamped with locals on a wknd holliday. Ive read people write this before and thought that it sounded a bit over the top but beleive me its a nightmare. The place turned from a lovely quiet, relaxing tranquil half full hotel to a zoo. It was mainly Cypriot teenagers, and whilst not behaving badly, they are just really loud. The pool got completly swamped and there was literally no room to swim and when they got hold of the water polo eqipment the rowdyness was unbeleiveable (and im not a party pooper, im only 32!) They were noisy from 7am in the morning (where the ones in the apartment under me woke the rest of thier block up by banging spoons on plates and chanting) up until at least midnight. They eventually left on the Monday afternoon and the place got back to normal. The whole time they were around i swapped my space by the pool and sunbathed down on the cliff top. Much quieter and a lovely breeze. And if you still happen to be there at 6.30 in the eve the sunset is trully amazing. Would be so romantic for couples. Me....I just had the local cat for company!...lol

Resturant staff lovely even if a bit too eager to clear your plates away, i think they have just been trained to do this but it is a little anoying as twice i got up to get milk/butter etc and they had whisked away my half drunk cup of tea...lol
All staff in hotel lovely. Bar, reception etc.

Evening entertainment was mainly the reps that work really hard at what they do. Nightly consisted of kids disco, then lucky 13, then Bingo then a singing show(usually done by the reps) or quiz etc. This was rather loud and could have done with being turned down after a certain time. Dont know how those with kids who went to bed coped coz i could still hear them singing from my appartment. I would recomend asking for a room away from the pool and stage if you like your early nights. The only night that really impressed me was a girl group, singer and 2 dancers, cant remember what they were called but the hotel should get more acts in like them. For a 4 star the entertainment could do with stepping up a mark.

Not much in the vacinity. Literally just the hotel shop and supermarket over the road. Paphos 10 min bus ride (stops over road) and Coral bay bout 8 mins bus ride in other direction.

Ok quick breakdown
Pros- lovely staff, good food, lovely pool, peacefull location, large clean rooms, realxing, stunning view, hot weather
Cons- no where to walk to of an evening. Have to catch Bus to any shops or Beach, drab entertainment

Would definatly recomend this hotel for someone (as i was) looking for a break away from it all, just wanting a plesant quiet holiday with great weather. Just dont go over a bank holiday!!!
