We went to this hotel for our honeymoon and could not have made a better choice.

The rooms were excellent, the bath robes slippers sweets fruit and wine being a particularly nice touch and they did not know we were on honeymoon.

Maid service was twice daily.

The standard of cleanliness in all areas was exceptional.

The pool area was brill and there were plenty of activities going on at various times of the day.

The food was of a good quality with plenty of choice.

All the staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.

We would definitely recommend this hotel for a quiet relaxing holiday.

Full marks St George keep up the good work.

We stayed at the St George's Gardens - a good choice - choosing it due to the fact that it was smaller than its sister hotel and hopefully a little more intimate(the St George's Hotel) and yet we could utilise the same facilities.

Very good standard of accommodation - though not for those who have difficulty walking - the hotel is build into the hillside - in total, we had almost 100 steps to mount from the beach (albeit there were stretches of flat to walk on between series of steps).

Though the hotel looked like a concrete block from some angles the room accommodation itself was very nice for the two of us with plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space.

Beautiful garden paths and walkways leading between the two hotels and down to the beach. Staff extremely helpful and courtious (discovered that a group of 30 of the young people employed there during the summer as part of a tourism and leisure course from Poland - well educated, well brought up young people - always with a smile on their face.

Food was very good - we ate far too much though! Location - wonderful spot on the coast - though needed a taxi ride or car into Pathos. Lack of walks nearby - very disappointed with builders leaving cartloads of debrie between one hotel and the next development, spoiling what could have been some splendid coastal walks.

Entertainment we felt was of poor quality. Particularly disturbing was the constant music played around the pool bars - which seemed to get louder in the second week - found we had to transport ourselves as far down on the beach as possibly to get away from the constant beats (the music surprisingly was aimed at the young when predominantly the clientel were of the mid forties and over!

We have found this scenario not uncommon in hotels throughout Europe - it's time for the clientel to make a stance (after all music is a very powerful tool which could add and shouldn't mar ones enjoyment of a relaxing holiday)!

A major item which marred our holiday was flight delays outward and inward bound - especially when we had paid a premium for good flight times! A letter will be on it's way to Thomsons holidays.

Stayed in this hotel in 2002 when it was virtually new and the apartments had not yet been built, and we could not fault it. In 2003 the hotel was trying to cope with the additional guests from the apartments using the facilitiies and resturants. In 2004 guests were expected to take their meals in sittings.
Room service menu hadn't changed for three years and standard resturant fare became monotonous. Upper bar evening entertainment is very good but eat early otherwise you won't be able to get a seat.
General entertainment seemed a bit dumbed down and not what we expected of a five star hotel
Outdoor pool, grounds and sunbeds immaculate and poolside service polite, friendly and efficient. There is a public promenade bisecting the sunbathing areas and a lot of building work has been completed in the vicinity and along the coastline and it seems that anyone can access the hotel grounds.
The foyer is elegant and well appointed. Our room was plain but had both a pool and sea view, which was well worth paying the extra for. The sunsets are stunning. It was late May and the weather was perfect with temp around 28 degrees
We were there when GMTV were filming ahead of the wedding and could only watch in disillusionment, as they were given the highest level of attentiveness, seating and service, which we enjoyed in 2002 but have been disappointed ever since.

The hotel was of the highest standard and cleanliness was excellent.
The location was beautiful as were the hotel grounds which were beautifully kept including the pool.
The staff were extremely helpful and courteous.
The rooms were spacious and clean with all facilities you needed and the fruit and water and the robes and slippers there on arrival were a lovely extra touch.
I would definetly return here.

This hotel was amazing. I loved all of it. The staff where all very friendly and easy to talk to. I think thats important when you are on holiday. I would advise going for a bed and breakfast or half board holiday here however. The breakfast buffet is always delicious and the lunch and dinners that are on offer are great. The only thing i would say is that there is not a great deal of variety for the evening meal. I preferred to go out for dinner as there are loads of great restaurants around. There is loads of entertainment. cabaret, magic shows, karaoke, musical performances etc in the evenings and loads of water sports and things for the daytime. The pool and poolbar were both great and the beach is almost next to the pool. the sea is always great for cooling down in cyprus as the pool tends to get warm as the sun gets hotter in the day. The hotel was also very clean all the time. the rooms are cleaned everyday. i would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good holiday. The bar and coffee lounge are especially pleasant places to be and to socialise.

We stayed at the St George in 2003, as we were witnesses at our friends wedding. They got married in Paphos Town Hall, which was lovely and had a champagne reception at the hotel. The whole wedding was arranged by Thomson and was perfect, the wedding organiser, Mandy, was superb. After the wedding, which, we spent the afternoon at the hotel Beach Bar which is so tranquil and then in the evening had a meze in a traditional taverna in Pathos town. There is a pool, complete with pool bar and sunbeds, plus grassed areas with umberallas and sundbeds and then a private beech. We had never gone half board before, as generally like to try out the local restaurants, but thought we would give it a go. The food was excellent with a wide choice and they would let you swap an evening meal for lunch if you wished to go out to a restaurant in evening for a change. The hotel room was spacious and clean. They gym although small, had just enough equipment to do a basic workout, all you really want to do on holiday. We plan to go back to St George again next year and I can't see that being the last time either. Excellent hotel.

I've been to Cyprus 4 times and I'm goin again this year and it will be my second time at the St George 2. The hotel itself is fantastic, the reception area is especially breath-taking as you walk in. I can't fault the hotel at all but if I had to be picky I would say the soup always tasted the same, no matter what flavour it was supposed to be. The rooms are spacious if there are 2 of you and the views of the pool are the sea are amazing.
