We arrived at the Brilliant at 3.30, it was a long journey to Cyprus and we arrived at the hottest time of the day.It was nice to get a cold drink at the bar.

Our room was lovely it had lots of space the only problem was the balcony door was broke and it didnt lock. The food was absolutley gorgeous the bar staff were so friendly.

There wasn't much entertainment in this hotel but we wasn,t botherd because we didnt book an all inclusive holiday.

The hotel was situated in a brilliant location not to far way just a 2minute walk to the strip.

We are definitely going back to the Brilliant next year it was really really good.

This was our 3rd trip to Cyprus but first to Protaras. The Brilliant Apts were ideally located with just a short walk to the centre of Protaras.

The apartments are clean and well run, all the staff are very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are a good size with some excellent views! There is a large, clean swimming pool with free Sunbeds!

The entertainment was 3 times a week, with Elvis, BBQ Night and Greek Dancers. The food served in the bar was great and so were the Bar staff.

We would recommend these apartments to anyone visiting Protaras.

We arrived at the Brilliant about 1 o'clock in the morning, we were checked straight in and the room was really good.

We were very impressed with the hotel.

The pool was excellent.

The location was good and the staff were brilliant.

I would recommend the Brilliant to anyone.

Apartments clean enough. Obvious they'd been re-decorated fairly recently.

Unfortunately, having been to a number of self-catering accommodation over the years, this property wouldn't rate TTT+ as stated in the Thomsons brochure.
Some points may appear picky to some, but we've got to be honest.

The balcony is tiny. Normally there's more than enough room for 4 to sit out in the evening (we're not party-animals). Only room for small round table and 2 chairs.

My daughter had a bed-settee, which was adequate (although seemed to be lying at an angle). My son however had to make do with a camp bed. I know it did state this in the brochure, but it was extremely narrow (my son is a small(ish) 13 year old), which meant my son filled the width of the bed. He also had an extremely uncomfortable sleep, due to a metal spar across the middle of the bed. The matress wasn't thick enough to disguise it. We complained, and 2 days later they put another mattress on top. This still didn't help. Eventually they supplied the same sort of mattress as on my daughters bed, which was put on top of the original mattress. This was a lot wider than the camp bed, which meant he had to be careful getting onto it.

Very poor in comparison to all the other apartments we've stayed at. They'd have been better having 2 bed-settees.

Came back to apartment mid-morning on 2dn day to find ballcock removed from toilet cistern. Went back a few hours later, still not fixed. Reported this at reception, who said they'd have someone up straightaway to fix it. Approx 6 hours later it was fixed.

Location of apartments not too bad. However, definitely not suitable for elderly people, or those with walking disabilities, as you have a hill up from the beach to the 'Strip', then another (steeper) hill to the apartments. Not ideal for certain people, particularly during high season.

Entertainment...practically non-existant. Karaoke one night, which was very poorly attended. Another night there was an 'Elvis' act. He was good, and very entertaining.

We arrived at the Brilliant apartments in the early hours of the morning, we checked in quickly and easily. The apartment was more on the scale of a hotel, and we were impressed upon arrival.
We stayed in a one bedroomed apartment, this was basic but clean, and had everything we needed. The rooms were spacious, however the bathroom was quite small. The rooms were cleaned six out of seven days.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food in the bar area was excellent.
We found the pool area to bigger and better than expected and very clean.
The location of the Brilliant is ideal, near to beach and restaurants, but not so near that it was noisy.
The apartments had entertainment three nights we were their, and although we did not stay for it, the other guests seemed to have a great time. The Brilliant was an excellent choice of accomodation, and i would recommend these apartments to everyone.
We are hoping to visit these apartments again later in the year.

This was supposed to be a 4 star complex. 2 star at best and the staff are the rudest and most unfriendly I have ever encountered on a foreign holiday.
The reception staff and hotel manager were ignorant and unpleasant as were most of the bar staff.

The accommodation is basic at best and the air conditioning is switched off when you leave the room, so when you get back after a day in the sun, it is absolutely boiling in the rooms.

I have seen all the positive reports for this place so maybe I was just unlucky but would never set foot in this place again.

Avoid.

We arrived at the begining of May for 2 weeks, 2 adults and 2 children(12 + 10yrs). This was our 4th holiday to Cyprus and most relaxing so far.

Self catering, the apartment was spotless and cleaned every second day. We sampled the Hotel food on a daily basis and could not fault it. It was great for the kids, soft drinks and ice cream whenever and they could be left in safety at the bar where Michael or Chris would always be on hand.

The Hotel is no more than 300yds from the beach and there is a direct path to the main shopping area. There are 2 markets/shops nearbye (50yds) that seem to stock everything you need on hols.

Michael, Chris(and his family) were a delight for 2 weeks and we look forward to seeing them next year.

The apartments we stayed in, 8-10, were ground floor and pool side, a good size and well maintained and clean.

The cleaners were very plesant and professional and did a great job.

The bar manager, Chris, was great so were his staff Micheal and Dennis, very funny people but at the same time very professional. The restaurant food was good so was the Cyprus brandy.

The pool was clean and well maintained, they put on some good entertainment.

I would recommend the brilliant to anyone.

We arrived at the hotel at about eleven at night on the 22nd of September. Glad to see the bar open as it had been a long day! Got our room key from the old gentleman at reception and went to the room.

We had asked for low floor with view of pool, we ended up on the second floor with a few of the road, not what we expected considering it had cost us

The hotel was very nice and clean. The hotel staff and reception staff were very friedly and made you feel welcome. The rooms were cleaned 6 times a week. The pool could have done with a bit more clening as towards the end of the holiday the water did go to look a bit dirty. The location of the hotel was very good. You could get down to the main strip either on the lit road or down a little lit path. As for the entertainment there was supose to be a show every saturday but they were both cancelled and all the other nights it was karaoke.
