We arrived at midnight. I thought our room was basic but clean and it was kept that way. The pools were great and our kids spent most of their time in them.
The food was good and cooked well with a good variety. Drinks were strong and when ordering a vodka and orange juice there was as much vodka in the drink as orange juice.
The staff were hard working and friendly and we even managed to get the barman to smile on a few occasions.
The hotel location was OK but the beach which is a very short walk away was quite rocky. We hired a jeep for a day and took a trip to Fig Tree Bay which was lovely. There are two supermarkets and a few bars very near and a few minutes more you can find more shops. The bus stop though is quite a walk if you want to catch it into the main Protaras town.
The entertainment was very good. We joined in the Aqua Aerobics which was more of a laugh than serious exercise. We joined in the Water Polo and my son played football. Drew was great he really got people together and my son and a few others were have a bombing competition in the pool and he joined in. He always done things to the extreme and always made us laugh.
We went to the waterpark at Ayia Napa and it was great.
I think we were all Brits at this hotel. We got to know a few which made it more of a laugh.
Would we visit this hotel again, yes I think we would. Even though I have never gone back to the same hotel again.

We (2 adults, 1 child 1 infant -17 mths) have just returned from Papantonia Hotel Apts in Protaras, Cyprus.
OVerall i found this hotel to be very good.
It is part of the Tsokkos group of hotels ... most hotels in the area appear to be part of the Tsokkos group and appear to me to be very well run.
Accomodation:
Our 1 bed apartment was on the smallish side (living area) with an average size bedroom. The bedroom area was carpeted as were the hallways, which I found helped to keep the noise down from guests walking about.
Fairly modern decor and practical. No complaints.
Pools and public areas:
The Papantonia has two large freeform pools, one with a bridge accross it and two smaller pools for little uns. The pools are all freshwater and were kept nice and clean as were the surrounding areas. There were a vast amount of sunbeds and large parasols all around the pools and surrounding grassed areas and it was possible to get sunbeds at any time of the day.. even in the general area of the pools that you wanted.
There was only one bar for drinks in the whole of the hotel, with a couple of staff, but there was rarely a wait of more than a minute or two for drinks.
There is a poolside outdoor food/drinks area where breakfast and lunch or snacks are served. This was lovely... especially eating outside at breakfast rather than in a dining room, however the downside of this was that unlike the dining room, it was possible for people to smoke during meals which i personaly don't like.
Food / Drinks:
Bacon was naff... no surprise there though...every all inclusive ive been to has been the same... otherwise the food was excellent.... loads of choice for breakfasts. Lunch did not offer as much choice, however where the Papantonia differs from other all inclusives that i have visited was that they have a snack bar menu... which is quite a good menu, and if you are all inclusive you can order anything off this menu (most meals were priced between

Great two weeks holiday! Chhildren,( two boys) aged 8yrs and 9yrs, thoroughly enjoyed themselves and joined in the activities as and when they felt like it.
Hotel, small complex friendly and very clean, situated not far from the beaches, it's worth taking a walk into Protaras along the coast, likewise it's worth turning left and walking along the coast too, many small sandy coves, with beautiful warm, clear water.
We also hired a car for a couple of days, shop around for prices. We hired our car

The hotel was very clean and staff were very friendly. Linen was changed on a daily basis.
There are 2 beautiful pools at this hotel and plenty of sun loungers.
Would definately go back again

Papantonia Hotel Apartments
Returned from this Hotel/Apartments on Wednesday and submitting a full report for anyone who is interested.
We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It is a smaller place than we are used to but this works to its advantage in that it is VERY friendly.
It is situated approx. 3miles away from the centre of Protaras which can be reached by a 25 min walk, by bus 50 cents, or taxi CY
