Take a torch for night-time. Returning to the hotel at night is dangerous.

Get a ground room floor as it will help as there are no lifts to the other floors so it can be a bit of a walk with a pram.
Make sure on the strip you visit the Meze restaurant with the funny symbols in the name. It is one of the best Meze places in Protaras. Also Molti was a great restaurant to stay in.

We visited the resort each evening about a 10 min walk from the apartment and took a taxi back as children to tired by then to walk. Lots of family bars with games room play areas, spolit for choice really, this resort is totally geared up for families.
Beach was clean and free bus to get there from apartment.

Protaras is very nice, going back again in oct, just a cheapy tho! The only thing wrong with Protaras is Elvis, was sick of seeing him but never mind, you can always avoid that..

Beach was about 5 minute walk and very nice. Streets were clean and shop owners very friendly. As we had kids with us all they wanted to do was stay in the pool so we didnt really have a chance to sample the resort entertainment.
But we are going back on our own to enable us to 'do our own thing'...definitely looking forward to it ..

Excellent for families but Ayia Napa night life starting to intrude on a quiet resort.

I would recomend visiting Protaras and Nisi Beach and the water park in Aiya Napa was fantastic. The themed bars, Only fools, friends, cheers and the flinstones bedrock were all great the the huge chinese reasturant was amazing.
we intend to revisit soon

The resort was absoloutely spotless I did not see a single piece of litter anywhere on my stay!
The entertainment was great especially the hypnotists in one of the pubs he was making people do the craziest things.
I didnt go to the beach as everything we needed was by the pool I would definately come back again!

This is a small friendly resort. Along the main strip, which will take you around 30 minutes to saunter down, you'll find plenty of bars restaurants and shops. The resort was very quiet when we visited as it was the start of the season (arriving 6th April leaving 20th April) and only about 70% of the bars and restaurants were open.
If you like jewellery make sure you take your credit card with you! There are plenty of jewellery shops to choose from!
The locals were very friendly and helpful - even the local workmen bidding us good morning! The resort was very clean and we felt safe at all times.
The beach was kept clean and tidy. We were charged £3cyp per day to hire 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. The beach at Fig Tree Bay has a blue flag for cleanlines and had life guards on duty. There are showers (I believe there's a £1 charge to use them?) and toilet facilities including disabled toilets if I remember correctly?)
Would I visit again? Yes, even though we found Cyprus rather more expensive than we expected.

The main town of Protaras is a half hour walk away or ten minutes in a taxi for 4 Cypriot pounds. The night life is in this main resort although there are a few bars & restaurants near the hotel. As we were all-inclusive we spent most evenings in the hotel as our drinks etc were included.
Girls, if you like wearing sandles, go to one of the Xenis shoe shops. Their sandles are fan-blooming-tastic. I bought 9 pairs! I will definately return!!!!!

The hotel is situated in Pernera, a 30 minute walk from Protarus or 70 cents on the bus. In fact one trip to Paralimni, Ayia Napa or Protaras is 70 cents one way.
Lots of tavernas, pubs including The Barley Mow where we made friends with Steve & Carrie who took over the pub in November. Also there is Cheryl & Karen, barstaff. The pub is lively & you are always assured of a warm welcome, they also allow you to swop your books in the pub!
Nice walks from Pernera to Fig Tree Bay, lots of cafe stops along the way. Also from our hotel there is underwater walking, highly recommended, especially if like me, water scares you! You walk under the water with a wetsuit & boots & helmet on pumping in 3 times more air than you'll need. very unique experience especially as the water is crystal clear & the fish are abundant!
