This was my second visit to the hotel, this time with Longwood. I found Longwood a bit more organised in as much as we filled the Visa card out on the plane, making it much easier on arrival in Taba. I also found Longwood cheaper to travel with. (They use the same airline as Peltours - Astraeus - which is quite a small cramped plane for the length of flight, but don't be put off by this.)
This time I travelled alone and, like last time, stayed in a twin room, so plenty of space. On arrival, I was given a really warm welcome as the staff knew me from the previous visit. Apparently if you are a return visitor to the hotel, you get special treatment, and everybody seemed to know who I was! This can be a little offputting if you are not used to getting so much attention!!
My visit took me into Easter week and the hotel was full. Because there are two pools and the beach, people are well spread around the complex, making it feel not too busy.
The entertainment had moved outside, however, some evenings were still quite cool. BE SURE TO TAKE SPRAYS FOR INSECT BITES AS I WAS WELL BITTEN THIS TIME!!!
For those wanting to try something different, please go under the pool bar into Down to Earth where you can smoke the water pipe. I'm not a smoker but gave it a couple of tries more for the fun factor. There's also a good selection of herbally teas there as well.
I celebrated my birthday while I was there and all the staff sang to me and presented me with a cake. They really look after you there so, once again, I would highly recommend you give it a try.
Speaking to other guests, not one of us could come up with a complaint about the hotel, which is good as there's normally always one who wants to complain. We all agreed that it was a wonderful place to stay and certainly a place to chill out.
I would like to think that I'll visit it again, and certainly would recommend it as a winter holiday as I think it's too hot in the summer!

I travelled to this hotel with a colleague from work. We found arrival at Taba airport a bit confusing, having to fill out Visa cards on arrival, which would have been better done on the plane. However, it was quite straightforward and the reps (who are locals) were on hand to help out. The airport is very small, basically one plane in, one plane out.
On arrival at the hotel we found the staff very helpful. The Egyptians do have a very good sense of humour and like to tell a joke or two!!
The hotel itself stands is very large, beautiful gardens. The beach is very clean and private so you are not bothered by the locals trying to sell you things. However, they are just waiting along the beach for you should you want to purchase anything or have a camel ride.
The weather in January was quite good, although we did have a couple of stormy days, but really this was just very, very windy and not really that cold. However, the nights can feel quite cool, and the entertainment is held inside the disco.
We found there was a wide choice of food in a choice of restaurants, so I think enough to cover any tastes. All the staff were very helpful (being mostly men, even housekeeping were men, which I was surprised at).
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a lovely, quiet, relaxing holiday. The scenery is stunning, with mountains all around, and when lying on the beach you can see the mountains of Saudi Arabia. The dolphins are a lovely sight and the jumping silver fish are wonderful. A lovely place to be!!
