Haiving read reviews both here and on other websites there were plus's & minus's. We needn't have feared, all in all we have just returned last night from a great holiday. The hotel is out of Sharm that suited us as going into the town was a frenzy and we were glad to be away from it all. The staff, cleanliness, pool, beach etc couldn't be faulted. Thanks for Wael at the pool bar, Mohammed & Mahmood who worked with him and all of the other staff who made us more than welcome. you do not have to pay for juice of a morning in the restaurant as previous, they have two dispensers one with fresh orange also pineapple. People say the food is repettitive but having been at other all inc resorts what more do people think you can do with chicken, beef and veal etc, they ony have so many varieties, and we couldn't fault anything every night a different theme. Only disappointment was the fish night at the pool bar, don't bother I don't eat fish but my alternative of chicken was better than my husbands meal he was ver disappointed. The Conrad Hotel next door, was blasting music all day, the Baron Palms is a quieter break which is what we needed after working hard all year. Not in your face although the entertainment coud do with geeing up a bit. All in all god holiday, would we return mot definitely.

We spent a week at the Baron Palms Resort and I have to say it is not 5 star. We would say 4 star is the correct rating for this hotel.

The food was good and plenty of it but not much variation. We ate in the Tiran restaurant in the evening and occasionally at the Paradise restaurant by the pool during the daytime. I like a glass of red wine but could not drink the wine they served - it was truly awful. However I did get a taste for the local beer. You have to ask for bottled water in the restaurant but they will quite happily bring it to you. At breakfast they will try to sell you the fresh orange juice (it is very nice but it will cost you an extra 15 egyptian pounds).

The hotel is very clean, they are always polishing and sweeping. The gardens are immaculate. To get to the beach you have to run the gauntlet of the Baron shopping arcade - it's best to ignore them, they are very very pushy if you show any interest. I went into one shop to look at some cheap jewellery and found it difficult to escape. He was very off it with me when I said I wanted to think about it first. Even after being on the beach for several hours after this, he was waiting on our return and started shouting after me!

Location is not brilliant unless you want to just spend time by the pool and the beach but it is convenient for the airport. No noise at all from planes flying in or out which is a good thing. There is a free shuttle bus which leaves at 11.00am returning 1.00pm, after that you have to pay but it's not expensive.

The room cleaning and waiting staff were excellent, very friendly, always smiling and genuinely want to talk to you. I practised my few words of Arabic and it went down very well. The only fault we had with the staff was with the reception staff, especially one guy called Mohammed. He was most unhelpful and difficult to deal with. We wanted to book a late check out room and he told us we could not do this until 10.00am of the morning of departure which was 12.00 from the room. We tried to explain that we needed to know if the room would be available so we could plan whether we had to pack, etc or not. In the end our Thomson rep, Wendy (who was excellent) managed to sort it out for us.

We didn't bother with the entertainment - it wasn't to our taste but the animation team tried their hardest and were friendly enough.

All in all I think we would not visit this hotel again - it wasn't particularly cheap and we have stayed in much better hotels in Egypt for the same money.

Hotel is beautiful, immaculately clean, staff v.helpful, on the surface. Food in restuaurant would have been lovely but only found to be hot on 1/2 occasions, which maybe accounted for 12 of our party being ill.
We were hassled by the pool for massage etc and he was actually very rude when we refused to pay the prices he wanted, also had to stop walking down to the beach to avoid constant harassment from shopkeepers at the shop parade, having been locked in by one of them for an hour one night.
Great holiday if you don't want any decent entertainment and like to be in bed by 10, also beware as some of the bars not included in the all inclusive. Won't be rushing back, actually couldn't wait to get home!

We have had a two week stay at the Baron Palms hotel and cannot praise it highly enough.

The cleanliness of this hotel and the staff employed there are brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble. As my husband and I are beach lovers we found the beach attendant really good. He would put towels on the beds ready for us each day.

The food was very variable with certain theme nights. In the evening there was a choice of eating in the main dining area or making a reservation at the Egyptian restaurant or the pool bar, both having good food as well.

The evening entertainment was a bit lacking in variety. A couple of different live music acts, but no karaoke or quizzes.

At the start of our holiday there were quite a few Russians in the hotel. It was best not to be in the dining room when they were as there was no such thing as queing for them, they just barged in. Towards the end of our holiday there were a lot of Brits there.

Will most definitely visit this hotel again.

We have just returned from 11 nights in the Baron Palm resort. When reading the reviews on here before we travelled, we were confused to see high scores overall but several negative feedbacks within different reviews.

Now that we have been there and experienced it ourselves, we can understand why. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff was constantly cleaning and decorating. The weather was fantastic for all 11 days we were there and is a big selling point if you are thinking of going to Egypt for winter sun. The food was a bit of a let down, they had different themes each evening in the main buffet restaurant but it seemed to be the same food every evening with not much variety. You can pay a supplement and eat in the Italian or Indian restaurant which we did and the food there was great. In the other two restaurants which were part of the all inclusive but had to book for, the food was nice but the portions seemed small. Be careful of the staff offering you drinks (alcohol in buffet on trolley and fresh juices round the pool/breakfast) these cost extra but they fail to tell you this! Can be hard to relax around the pool as staff trying to sell or promote services. As part of the hotels ongoing upkeep of the hotel, they add finishing touches to the paintwork but fail to put up wet paint signs so be careful!

Though several negative comments we would return to this hotel. On the resort there are several shops selling souvenirs etc. Its best to ignore the men out the front trying to get you in there shops, that way they don't know you are English and cannot keep talking to you in English so will give up talking to you. They also have pleasure in being sarcastic e.g our friend has little ear lobes and they kept on about it!

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Baron Palms Hotel, the hotel staff could not do enough for us, especially the staff of the Paradise Pool Bar.

The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent and was constantly being cleaned, everywhere you went there was always someone cleaning.

The food was always hot and with a good selection at each meal and themed evenings. The only let down was that there was no organised entertainment during the evening for the English speaking guests.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the Baron Palms.
The staff were excellent and could not be faulted.
The rooms were well laid out with ajustable air con. The beds were hard but were of course very new.
Tge pools and beach were well maintained and well staffed.

The food in all the restaurants was excellent. It was well presented and you would be very picky not tofind something nice.

I would certainly return to this hotel.

We have just returned from the Baron Palms Hotel - it was wonderful. I cannot fault it.

The accommodation is excellent, very comfortable rooms, and spacious public areas.

The food was plentiful, always hot and very varied. Waiters were very attentive and welcoming.

The hotel was very clean - staff were always busy, mopping, brushing and dusting!!!

The hotel is just a short stroll to the beach, and the facilities there are great - cold flannels being handed out on very hot days!!. The beach cafe serves hot and cold drinks, and snacks.

The staff were brilliant - nothing was too much trouble, always smiling and friendly - they made us feel very special.

We are going again next year for our silver wedding anniversary because it is everything we want and more !!! All the managers are very approachable, and welcome the opportunity to chat to guests and make sure that everything is Ok. This hotel is definitely to be recommended.
