Just spent 2 weeks in the Baron. The food/drink, staff, facilities were all brilliant.
Whether you just want to chill out by the pool or do lots of activities, the baron is the perfect place to return to. My son and I did the Open Water course with Emperor divers in Naama and after a hard days teaching it was lovely to return to the tranquility of the Baron.
The beach and jetty are a short walk from the hotel and a must to visit. The snorkelling from the hotel jetty is by far the best of any of the surrounding hotels, I would not have believed the sheer volume and variety of fish present if I had not seen it.
I can do nothing but praise this hotel and will be returning to it the next time I come to Egypt.

The airport was what we had been told, the Egyptian porters do take your case off the conveyor then hold their hand out for a tip to get it back, just say no money and they back down.
Arrived at the hotel and was greeted by a cool drink and the Thompson rep. The cases were taken to the rooms by the bell boy and we followed. We all thought the rooms where excellent and the place was spotless.
The staff at the hotel work really hard to make you feel special, believe it or not the waiters work a 400 hour month and get

We have just returned from this hotel. And when we heard that it had only just opened we were concerned that things might not be 100%. How wrong can you be.
The hotel now operates like a well oiled engine. I have never seen a hotel cleaned so many times - there was even a man to clean the indoor plants!
The 5* tag it has been given is well earned, the food was wonderful the choice extensive. The facilities excellent. There is now an "animation team" in place they take on organising the poolside exercises and games for those who wish to join in and they also undertake evening entertainments. The entertainment centre was open, and takes the form of an open air ampi-theatre, we went to watch one of the shows.
We really enjoyed our weeks holiday, both of us got out of the week what we wanted - namely a very good rest.
But there was one problem for us....... children/young teenagers, sorry I do not expect to see a child riding a scooter down the corridors of the hotel, neither do I expect to see children allowed to run around the restaurant, and neither do I expect to be disturbed at 2:00 am in the morning by young girls running around the hotel.
I think the hotel needs to decide what its target market is ... would we go back again? Yes providing we knew we would not have to share with children.

A brand new hotel that had opened late in December, so you can imagine the chaos when I arrived a week later. My wife and I went for a relaxing holiday and we got a holiday from hell. How the hotel got 5 T is beyond me as a lot of the facilities were not open.
The hotel was spotless
The beds were hard as were the pillows but that is probably because they were new.
The hotel is close to the sea and you have to run the gauntlet of a shopping parade where the shopkeepers want your business.
Do not get confused between this hotel and the Baron resort which is next door. There was no beach bar open and there were extensive building works next door in the Conrad hotel and of course they were using a jackhammer for the first week of our holiday.
The hotel staff had very little training and it showed as when the Russian hoards appeared who were little better than animals in their quest for drink an they did not have any manners whatsoever
The manager Yassir was very apologetic but received very little help.
There was no entertainment save a woman who played the piano at varying times the other entertainment was watching the Russians fighting every night.
I think we were unlucky as it was new year but when you see the police take a man away from the hotel for fighting then allowed to return to the hotel you have to question the hotel.
Food was canteen style except for the poolside bar who served good food. Very little waiter service.
At best a 3 star hotel
