hotel should not be rated as 5 star it is 2 star at best the food is very bad and hygine standard is a joke. The kitchen staff are dirty as is the resteraunts. the rooms are dirty thoughi the staff are frendly there arent enough of them to cope. you have to queue al the time for drinks which are often served in dirty glasses thats if you are lucky and they have not run out of glasses like the resterants. they run out of glasses and plates which when you do get one it will be dirty or crackad and chiped. the pools and gardens however are nice and kept well.
the only part of the hotel that is worthey of its rating.

Had a week in this substandard hotel. Won't bother repeating reports all true, queus for everything, one bar and one barman to serve a hotel with 900 rooms!! Come on who's kidding who. I guess the philosophy is that they,ve already got your money so it's quite clever to make the waiting so unbearable to get a plastic half glass of wine that you feel no other choice but to SPEND your money in Na'ama Bay (which is very tacky and reminiscent of Blackpool)but still felt like pure luxury compared to the hotel. The food was intolerable and I am not a fussy eater but it was awful. Hygiene not the worst in the world but by no means the best. Staff were not great but that's basically because there were not enough of them to manage, again who's kidding who, and who's pocket is being lined, the owner is onto a winner with the costcutting in this hotel and hey let's face it Thomson are allowing it, so once again you have to ask yourself who to be pissed off at (and it;s not the slave trade staff). The main clientielle were Russian and no they are not at all friendly I've never seen a bunch of people live down/up to the stereotype and I have travelled extensively. Also we were told that this particular hotel is very well liked by the Arabs who holiday in Sharm, and they were as rude as the Russians only louder MUCH louder. The Arab children also have no concept of waiting in line and will literally elbow you out of the way to get to the food, but it's not so bad because after a day or two you probably won't be too keen on eating it anyway.I have never filled in anything like this before but I did feel that the whole week was bad enough to merit it as people look forward to their holidays and it's pretty rotten to end up in a hell hole/ We tried to change hotels too late unfortunately but if you still have the time definitely change. If going through Thomsons don't take no for an answer as I think from the number of people looking thoroughly bloody miserable while I was there, that they have only too good an idea of the problems, but I will say again they've got your money already so they're not going to make it easy for you. The holiday left a very bad taste in my mouth (and of course my tummy, those reports are also true) as this was booked through an apparently reputable company. Oh well you live and learn and hopefully someone can learn without living it through this website.

On arriving at the hotel we were greeted by the hotel staff who took our bags from us, this was so they could deliver then to our room as the complex is rather big with lots of steps. First impressions were amazing, the grounds are beautiful and the sea veiw from our room was breathtaking.
The rooms themselves were clean and spacious with a huge double bed.
On the downside.. the 2nd night we were there we were eating in the hotels restaurant and the power including the water to the entire hotel went off.We sat in complete darkness for the next 10minutes. It continued to go on and off for the next 3hours, we were told it was the whole of sharm but from our room we could see the neighbouring hotel was lit up like a christmas tree. After the electricity was put back on the water remained off. Meaning no shower, no taps and no toilet in our room.
we were put in one of the furthest rooms away from the restaurants, main hotel area and pool. this was a pain when on the 3rd day my boyfriend and i got sick from the hotel food and we couldnt leave our room due to needing to rush to a toilet every 10minutes...however it wouldnt have been so bad if our room had a working toilet and running water, but not only were we bed ridden, when we needed to go toilet we had no choice... we had to run the risk of not making it in time to the hotel reception toilets or use the toilet in the bedroom that wouldnt flush...baring in mind there was two of us having the same problem with sickness and diahrea this was barely an option. When we contacted reception for someone to come and fix the toilet they said they would send them up in 10minutes...10minutes came and went, so did 30minutes...1hour..so we rang again...when we were rudely told someone would be with us soon..we waited and waited, nothing!! By this point we had waited 4hours i was really fed up so i called again and said if they dont fix it id atleast like to be moved to another room where there is a functioning toilet, the man i spoke to knew nothing about the situation so he took our room number and said hed send someone up. two hours later and still nothing. My boyfriend was furious, he marched down to reception where he was again rudely told to go back to the room and someone would be up shortly,he refused and insisted he wait in reception till someone was sent up with him.He waited half an hour. The people on reception were very dismissive. Finally someone was sent up and it took him 30seconds to fix it. We had waited 7+ hours for a 30second job. I have been to egypt before so appreciate the probability of catching a bug but ive never known anything like this... i was suprised as i am a vegetarian and stayed well away from meat, eggs etc... so where the bug came from we will never know. the food was ok alot of tomato sauce based stewed options and rice, you can have freshly cooked pasta at dinner with choice of sauce etc and freshly made omlette at lunch...breakfast was appauling...pastries,pastries pastries.
Towards the end of the holiday (we were only there for 7days and previously been ill for 4days)when we finally felt brave enough to leave our rooms we ventured down to the main pool where it had been taped off for '48hrs yearly pool maintainence'. So for our last 2days-having spent the majority of the holiday bed ridden thanks to a bug caught from the hotel-they decided to do 'yearly pool maintainence' in the middle of july, in peak season! Typical.

However when they were open the pools were lovely, but the sunbed situation was abit disapointing, the chances of a getting a sunbed if you got up after 8oclock were slim.

The highlight of the holiday...the snorkelling! it was amazing, your free to jump in and swim all day if you wish from the hotels private jetty, from sting ray to parrot fish the species are endless and the corals beautiful.
This hotel has so much potential but its just wasted, the grounds and the building are just beautiful but the management bring it down. Their ability to deal with situations effectively and efficiently is appauling.
Yes they will go out of their way to help you, but only when it suits them and for a price. and im sorry, but when we have paid over

If you are a group of females - Do Not Go To This Hotel.
We were harrased for the whole holiday by the hotel staff, not just a few exceptions nearly all of the staff there personally harrased you for money or sex. This has not just happened to us as we came accross a couple of groups of females on their own who advised they had the same problems. For example I was eating breakfast and one of the waiters kept hovering around our table whilst eating which is rude anyway, then asked for my room number...when i questioned why he wanted this he said "you and me go have sex" To be honest i was absolutely disgusted and this completely ruined my holiday. This wasn't just an isolated situation it was constant harrasment from most of the staff there.
The resort itself was lovely and was kept fairly clean most of the time.
The food was basic and the same every day and would therefore not advise to go all inclusive here.
As a whole I would advise not to travel to this resort.

We have just arrived back on 11th May, from a one week holiday in the Inter Plaza Hotel, All Inclusive! I have never stayed at a hotel like it. It may look very pretty with all the beautiful gardens but please be warned the hotel is not all it seems on the website. The list is endless, on arrival we were taken to our room, a pool view which we asked for and got a room on the ground floor, it looked really lovely until I tried to unpack. Here is the list:

Two Wardrobe shelves collapsed.
A security safe unattached to the wall.
Cold or luke warm Yellow running water every single day.
Dirty grout in showers which were not maintained or bleached.
Dirty grout in floor tiles.
Dirty Shower Curtain.
Cup marks & finger prints on furniture and curtains from previous holiday makers.
Grey towels which should be white.
Handles came off drawers.
Mini Fridge - 2 btls water, 2 cans pop, 2 fresh orange that's all for the week, we were expected to fill up water bottles around the hotel.
Never told where water dispensers were located.
Hardley any English people, mostly Russian people, I believe Thomson's have only just started using this hotel.
Food in both main restaurants is the worst I have ever had and repetitive and the queues were long and sometimes you were guided to tables with other people. Hygiene is not very good in the tiny bar in the lobby as glasses were not washed properly.
Beer is given in very tiny glasses and only half full and so is the wine. The wine is not refridgerated. Unless you tip the waiters you have no chance of getting a service at all - just join the long queue.
The pool bar ran out of glasses and we saw one of the waiters going around the bins collecting the thin plastic cups and straws to re-use. Hygiene in the pool bar looked really poor with scourers which were so dirty, it was unbelieveable they were used at all.
Light bulbs were missing everywhere throughout the hotel & grounds which were a Health & Safety Hazard as many of the steps were broken and were not well lit.
The hotel has it's own private beach but you have no chance of getting a sunbed unless you get up at 6am to put your towels down, so I am told!

Nearly everyone we have spoken to in the hotel has been poorly with severe tummy upsets which I am not surprised about due to the way they do not value cleanliness.

The hotel is not central and not near any bars & restaurants, you have to catch hotel taxis to Naama Bay etc. The taxi service is also a nightmare in itself and you get totally ripped off as they will not budge with their prices.

However, the waiters were always very friendly but expected the tips before they would look after you, we were quite OK with this, so as to make the holiday more bearable but we had to tip well.

This is the first time ever that I have had an experience like this and put pen to paper. I would like everyone to be aware before booking the hotel.

Please do not take any notice of the moaners!
This is lovely hotel, very clean and extremely large and admittedly could be difficult if you have walking problems (my husband has them but we took our time and coped well).
We had a brilliant room just 20 paces from the pool.
Everything in it was fine with no problems like in the report below.
OK food may have appeared repetitive but there was loads of choice so we could always find something to our liking.
This hotel is very new to Thomsons and the water slides and wave pool were not open when we were there but when they are (I believe in June) they will be brilliant.
Hotel staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful.
I would definitely recommend this hotel but as we like to try different hotels we probably would not go back in the foreseeable future.

This was my second trip to sharm and i was really looking forward to especially staying in a 5* hotel. I previously Stayed at the Tropicana LTI Grand Azure which was a 4* plus hotel ans had a wonderful time. Couldn't fault the food or cleaniness of the hotel and the swimming pools etc were amazing. Would certainly recommend to anyone.
At the inter plaza i found the food very bland and nearly the same every day, both buffet restuants are exactly the same and their was only one other resturant not 3 like it describes they just have 3 different menus.
Most dinner times we ate at the snack bar as the resturants were packed and couldn't get a table, they served pizza which only had cheese on and nothing else and chips. But it was better than nothing.
During the day your drinks were served in the smallest plastic glasses ever, two mouthfuls and they were gone and in that heat it was horrible.
The wine glasses in the resturant and lobby bar were really small again and after queing for up to 10 mins at a time for a drink it gets really annoying. Also i hated the fact that you had to fill your water bottles up at a dispenser and all i could think about were all the germs that must be on their.
The grounds of the hotel were very pretty but on quite a slope so wouldn't recommend for thr elderly and anyone with walking difficulties. The night time entertainment was a man playing a gitair every night but it was plesent enough and nice relaxing music.
The towels that were given to you around the pool were really grubby and properly haven't been replaced since the hotel opened in 2006, some days they had run out and were couldn't get one.
The hotel in general was nice but i would rate it as a 3* and certainly not a 5* and the previous hotel a stayed in was so much nicer and i would ceetainly recommend that instead.
