Try to get a sea view room overlooking the lovely gardens and sea.
The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.
Deluxe & Superior rooms in the main hotel.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

Beaches

The whole resort is spotless, it is cleaned eveyday, the gardens are immacualte and are tendered to every day. They could do with more toilets around the pool area. The beach is okay but not if you want to go swimming as you have to walk out quite far and the sand is rough. We walked along the jetty and then walked out the rest of the way to the coral to go snorkling, which was amazing, make sure you take snorkles and rubber swim shoes. You can buy these at the shop.

Sharm el Shiek is a typical arab town full of hustle and bustle with vendors trying to make a living, August is the wrong month to go it's much too hot over 40'c during the day but I would gladly visit again in the spring.
One week is all you need really other than long hauls to either Luxor or Cairo there's little else to do unless you dive.
If you do then you're probably at the best resort in the world. We went to the Pyramids in Cairo by air £175 pp I enjoyed the trip and am glad I went but it was just too hot for me (Should have known!!)
Old Sharm is just market stalls and a couple of local restaurants, better in my opinion to stay in Naama bay. Also the big named hotels seem to have the better service.

We were in a developing part of Sharm El Sheikh, about a 1/2 hour drive from Naama Bay the resort centre. there were no footpaths as such due to the building works.
Beaches were quite good, if a little grainy and shelved very gently for 2 or 300 yards before you were at waist level. Rock shoes are a must for paddling or swimming.

I Stayed in Naa'ma Bay it was the 9th visit of mine to sharm. I love it! amazing place with amazing people! there are loads of bars, nightclubs, coffee shops for you to choose from everynight depending on your mood whether it be Traditional Egyptian or other. I would advise on the entertainment note that you do take the opportunity to get a taxi (beware and make sure u haggle alittle with the price) and step out of the main resort to visit a place called Alf leila wa leila.... it is built on the theme of arabian nights its a huge palace and Has a traditional egyptian dance show everynight whilst u sit and watch you can eat dinner (fish or kebab) or just watch the show whilst Smoking shisha (waterpipe) and drinking traditional mint tea. Anyone not sure of taking the opportunity to visit sharm because of the bombings in july must go security is extremely tight and i can assure you wherever you stay whatever you do there you will love it!

This area of Sharm el Sheikh is under going mass development. For every hotel which is complete, there must be another 5 under construction! In 2 or 3 years time, this are will be over crowded, so go in the next 12 months if you can! Naama bay is certainly an experience. Cheap food & drink with an excellent atmosphere!

As we never ventured out of the hotel grounds its difficult for me to comment on this.

We stayed in Sharks bay near Naama Bay. It is very quiet and tends to be Hotel based. We did feel very safe for our entire holiday.

The resort is generally clean.
The entertainment is limited even at other hotels we visited but this is due to the fact that approx only one third of the normal numbers of guests are staying here.
The beaches are well looked after and the coral reefs are a dream.
We would visit this resort again.
