The bedroom was fantastic again there was colour changing lights in the bathroom and above the bed!! the room also contained a mini fridge, tea making facilities, iron and ironing board and hair drier. The towels were changed daily although on one day the room wasn't cleaned despite the please clean me hanger left on the door all day,on phoning reception clean towels were imediatly sent up,and the room was cleaned when we went for tea,a complimentary newspaper was provided daily.
The staff were all helpful and friendly. There was a large variety of options for breakfasts including cereal, full english and fruit, although at peak times 9am onwards again resulted in long queing times!!!
Entertainment was average but ideal for children,we did enjoy the Micheal Jackson tribute, stars of x factor and George Micheal tribute,in between acts was sometimes a 45 minute wait, far to long!!!Drinks in the bars seemed expensive as was the restaurants on site, and be aware many activities are extra and it soon mounts up!!! overall an enjoyable few days away.

Firstly, the accommodation wouldn't have looked out of place in a World War II PoW camp. We had booked the Silver Plus accommodation which consisted of two very small leather sofa's and a small TV. We had requested a cot for our baby but was horrified to discover it was covered in grime and dirt. The bathroom was shocking with mildew and mould everywhere. The whole place was just a dump. Do Butlin's not know this is the 21st Century and squalor and deprivation went out with the slum clearances of the 1950's. Obviously not!
Secondly, the whole place just seems so naff. Sure the kids enjoyed some of the entertainment such as Bob the Builder and the swimming but the rest is just rubbish. This Butlins really needs a refurb. The fairground is the same one I remember going to when I was a kid.
Lastly, the food and clientelle. As we were self catering we were spared most of the filth served up to the prisoners, oops sorry I mean holidaymakers! We did venture for breakfast once and wasn't surprized to see substandard, greasy and fattening food on offer, and being consumed in vast quantities by the multitudes of overweight guests (who seem to be the majority at this resort) and tattooed ladies. If they were to drop a bomb on Butlins it would half this countrys welfare budget.
Truly the worst holiday I have ever been on.

Second time to a Butlins resort (first time was at Minehead, equally as good). Room spotless, newly decorated silver apartment, clean bedding, comfy beds, modern kitchen. Entertainment good although could do a with a Reps Cabaret and less tribute bands. Skyline is great, pool is fine (changing rooms a bit weird). The problem is people go looking for faults. I dont. i have a five year old who loved everything and if shes happy, im happy. So if you have kids, go for it - Its a great holiday break!

Food hall was ok and staff were helpful. The food itself was like old school style and not much choice, but you could help yourself to how much you liked.
Entertainment was very poor if you have teenagers as everything is geared towards little kids. There are to many paying things here as well and whats is supposed to be free is diabolical
We will not be visting butlins again as we were very dissapointed with it.
