What can I say? If you are a family you will love this place. It appears very safe.
We travelled with a 3 year old and a 2 year old so we did not take much notice of night clubs however, there seemed to be a couple of lively (not rowdy) spots and would feel fine about about an older teenager going whilst I was nearby.
The choice of restaurants was fantastic, in particular, 'Aries' the owner Gregory (or something like that with a Greek ending!) is one of the most happiest, accommodating people I have been blessed to meet. The food is amazing. Every evening they have Greek dancing. Don't miss the Pyratechnics but be careful as my chair caught fire on our last night, although I think it may have had something to do with the champagne! A couple married in Corfu and staying at the Louis Corcyra had there wedding reception there and they had a whole lamb and pig cooked on a spit at 'Aries'.
You will have a lovely time in Gouvia wherever you stop and wherever you eat.

What can we say about Gouvia? In a word - "Blackpool"! So, so tacky! And very, very British. It is has the usual "British" bars with sky television showing sport and very little Greek authenticity. There was only one adequate restaurant which we did visit quite a few times. We would definitely not go here again! Sorry, not our cup of tea.

the resort is on your doorstep and there are many restaurants we found one we loved called moukas and we ate there every night for 2 weeks, the staff were so friendly and made us so welcome, when we returned the next year they were so pleased to see us again and we ate there every night again for 2 weeks.it was my birthday while we were there and they made me a lovely cake free of charge i cried the day we said goodbye to them.there are plenty of shops and the waterpark is only a short taxi ride away and is a great day out .
