The resort is good if you are young you can go down to the nightclubs if you want it quieter you can go up to Pyrgi and have a drink and a chat.
There is'nt much entertainment but that does'nt bother us we make our own.
The beach would be better if it was sandy but if you wear sea shoes it is OK the views are magnificent.
We go every year usually about 20 of us.

Ipsos was lovely with a shingle beach. We found the place really clean with lovely inexpensive restaurants. The bars were excellent too, especially The Old Tree, which stays open to 4 am! Go along for really friendly staff!

We didn't like Ipsos as the strip was mainly the type of bars that you would find in an 18/30 holiday resort, although we did manage to find some nice bars! The food is not typical Greek although the Greek locals were very friendly. The beach is a shingle beach which can be very uncomfortable and as it is not very deep and on the road side it does get very busy and is not private at all. This resort now seems to cater for Italians which can be a bit of a pain as they seem to like walking and traveling about on scooters in mass, this can be a bit intimidating and annoying as they can be very noisy. We did find a resort (St Georges South) which was completely different, sandy beaches, Greek food and very quiet.

The only moan was the beach being a narrow strip of pebbles with the main road only a few feet away which can be busy at times. and it could also do with a good clean lots of litter and tab ends all over the place...

Ipsos, best seen in the early or late months of the season as the peak months see the Italians invade by ferry complete with their mopeds.
During the quieter months there is plenty to do and see, loads of Taverna's, Cafe's and Restaurants through to all out late night partying in the many night clubs. The resort is is two parts, Ipsos, the buzzing main strip littered with the above then there is the village of Pyrgi, situated at the northern end of the strip, head deeper into the village to find many eateries and bars, complete with "nearly all night cafe's" there are the traditional Grek Taverna's along with your Bars run by Brits who have given into the pull of this area.
The resort is located on the lower North east coast making it an idea location for getting around to see more of the Island.
Come and see, you will NOT be disapointed.

The resort was great, quite for this time of year but all the same lively.
Tavernas were plentiful, best place to eat starters & main is the MEGA Hotel for sure, its on the seafront. Staff at the MEGA were helpful with recomendations and were freindly too. Avoid the Donna Kebab,we 3 did not enjoy it so much but the other main courses are great, sausage, chicken breast etc...... oh and the freshly made pitta is the best I have ever had!
The Boat trip to Kassiopi with Captain Homer was a lovely relaxing day, Homer is a nice guy and his wife who runs Sofie & Homer Excursions shop (just along from Captain Homers Boat Port)is a lovely lady, the sons not bad either!!!! We booked 3 trips with Sofie and they were all great, please go on the Greek Night up in the village it was very good. All can be booked through Sofie at half the price the reps are offering it at!
Plenty of supermarkets selling all that you need, also plently of tourst shops, Moons is great for Clothes and Gifts, very well priced too, its a must see. My sister and myself bought many items from this shop.

Resort is great, plently to do, Captain Homers Boat Trip to Kassiopi was lovely. Greek Night up inthe village great and you can also do the boat trip to Corfu town if you don't mind busy places. Do not book through reps as their cost are much higher than if you buy from the Excursion shops located all over Ipsos.

Ipsos is a nice place you can have it as quiet or nosy as you like.Pyrgi village is just along the road from butchers corner, theres plenty of buses to Corfu town or Kassioppi. The beach is very pebbley so for sunbathing you re better round the pool.

Don't go to the old tree bar if you don't want to get ripped off by the barmen go to Dinos or the Stratis restaurant instead for good service and food.
