Try any other hotel or restaurant, there are plenty in the area
Do not ask the co-owner Dimitris for a good room, you will probably get the same response as I did.

I would suggest that this is a resort to relax in, there is one lively bar where you can go and stay till you fall over - good DJ etc. The pizzeria does the best Pizza's I have ever had. If you like to eat traditional there is plenty of places to do so. The beach is good, nice and sandy, safe for kids. If you go you will soon discover that it is fall of people that have been going for years. Doesn't seem to change and don't think it ever will. (I hope)

Wonderful resort visiting for the fourth time. New bars/restauants opened this year merely add to the variety of the resort. Because the resort is spread out it is dificult to visit all of the bars/tavernas in one holiday.
I could quite easily spend the rest of my holidaying life at this resort.

The resort is a typical greek resort with many tavernas and hotels with plenty of entertainment during the evening. the beach is a long golden sandy one with shallow clear blue waters overlooking the mountains of Albania in the distance.

The resort is very quiet, but i am worried it is in danger of turning into a kavos, or sidari which would be a shame.
there are many tavernas, the teenagers tend to hang out at the condor..which is like a sleezy club!
the beach is lovely, if you walk so far down you reach the nudist beach so be careful other wise you will be in for a big shock!!

The resort is a quiet place. There are a few shops and several good resturants and bars all very nice. It's not the ideal place for kids or teenagers but is nice if you want a quiet hassle free holiday. There are no taxis in the resort they come from Sidari and can be costly but there is a bus service comes through the village that goes to Sidari cost 1euro then down to Corfu Town.

San Stefanos is to me a very special place. We have been drawn back year after year, as a first or second holiday.
We first went to San Stef 22 years ago, never having ever wanted to visit anywhere twice. We were capitivated by the village - commercialized still, in many ways - but the friendliness of the people is the main draw.
Noula, who runs the San Stefanos Travel, was just a little girl when we first arrived, now she provides a great travel service and excursion packages etc. She helps anyone who needs it. San Stefanos has the Best Beach on the island. 23 years ago, it had little here except 2 small hotels, Nafsika and Golden Beach, plus 4 Taverna's and the Margarita's Mini Market. It was still my favourite holiday, now it has grown, but the people stay the same - 80% of the resort visitors have been before, some many times.
If you like walking, you can walk over the hill to Arillas, or walk along the Beach as far as you can until the clear sea meets the cliffs, passing through a Nudist section as you walk. If you like, you can do boat trips from the Harbour, or water sports are available on the Beach. The Kantina in the centre of the Beach provides drinks & snacks, or visit the beach Bars.
Try lunch at Mistrals resturant, the fetta salad bagette is to die for, also in the evening they do a fantastic schnitzal with a lemon/honey sauce - unusual & fantastic.
Whatever you do - try a meal in the Olive Press Resturant, (next to the Nafsika hotel). It's run by George & Simone (of Leonadis Apts fame), George has a special recipe of herbs that he grills his chickens in, just fantastic - so tasty and different, my mouth waters when I think of it. Simone is English and can be a great help if you have any questions about the island or resort. This resturant is definately worth a visit - book early to be sure of a table. Also go see the Elpithas Bistro, Nondas's son Dimitri (and Nikki the Chef), You must book early to be guaranteed a table here as well, Great food and atmosphere, good music in the background.
The Condor Music Bar is a lovely family bar to spend the evening. DJ / Karoke (or films in the afternoon), or just chill to your favourite tracks. Stefanos is the boss and is the friendliest guy in Greece, with an infectious laugh.
The Athens Bar is another good place to chill for the evening and stay up until dawn if you want. The Rose Garden Cocktail Bar has great ambience' and Stellios in the Olympia Resturant, has different and great menu's & is a must-do place to eat. In fact I could mention many more Resturants such as Manthos, Nafsika, Little Prince, Waves on the Beach for seafood, they are all of a high standard and all friendly. They even have a Pizza Delivery, (Town Pizza)& the Chef was trained in New-York.
There are plenty of Car hire places including Dino's - who may offer you a stiff drink just as you go to drive off!!! He's yet another character of the village. Go check out the Athina Hotel - great pool and staff, best place for the Sunset pictures!!
San Stefanos has a gold shop, a few souvenier shops and the all above. Laid back & Great for Families or Couples of all ages especially.
It's not Club City! If you want the 18-30 type Singles scene - please don't come here - you won't enjoy it and no one will enjoy you either. This is not the place for Lager Louts. Go to Kavos for that.
San Stefanos is still our favourite spot in the world, full of characters and the friendliest people on earth, which is why we love it here.

We love it here, nice and quiet but enough going on. The beach is lovely and the sea is so safe. Nice sandy bottom, you can walk out a long way.
Not a lot for youngsters here I think it`s ideal for couples though who want a relaxing time. A few bars, restaurants and the condor pub come night club come cinema close by. Best holiday place I`ve been to, if you want a relaxing place then this is the one for you.
