Do not ask the co-owner Dimitris for a good room, you will probably get the same response as I did.
Try any other hotel or restaurant, there are plenty in the area

This was our first visit to San Stefanos and we will definitely return, absolutely loved it. There is a lovely laid-back atmosphere, we felt like we'd been there for ever. The people are so friendly and welcoming, especially Yiannis who looked after our stretch of the beach, he greets you like an old friend every morning. The beach is superb, long stretch of sand and shallow water for safe swimming. Many good tavernas and bars, our favourites were Two Princes, Silver Star and Bar 38, always a friendly welcome....oh and don't forget to visit Spiros at the Havana Beach Bar in the evening and watch the sunset over the beach, unforgettable....

The resort was quite clean overall. There was quite a choice of entertainment withmusic bars, quiet taverners, and several of the taverners offering the occasional Greek Night. The standard of the beach was very good. Every morning that we went down onto the beach, all the sunbeds were clean, the sand had been raked, and the Greek attendant always had a cheerful greeting. There was also a couple of beachside taverners and a kiosk selling refreshments.

Beautiful beach, cleaned regularly. My husband is not a beach fan but even he chooses to go here during our time in San Stefanos.
Lots of restaurants to choose from and just enough evening entertainment to keep those who want it happy - we prefer early nights and long days but each to their own!

The resort offers a great cross section of accommodation from hotels to studios and everything else between. You can hire bikes, mopeds, cars and buggys. There are supermarkets and gift shops. Good selection of bars/tavernas offering quality food to suit all tastes, even a pizza parlour! The beach is long and sandy with a cross section of water sports. The very far end is wear you go to let it all hang out - if that takes your fancy! I could go on and on. It is a great place for a quiet holiday for families and couples. Coastal walks, etc, etc.

Agios Stefanos (NW) is a beautiful village with friendly inhabitants, and enough tavernas and bars to keep you happy and enable you to eat in a different one each night but not so many that it is overdeveloped.
There are 4 well stocked supermarkets, and 3 car hire and travel agencies offering trips to: Corfu by night and day, Paxos, Greek nights , boat trips and Albania trips. It is prettily situated at the North West of Corfu below Sidari and takers about an hour from the airport - very winding roads, through very pretty countryside, and olive groves.
It consists of one main street bordered by shops and bars and eateries, access to the beautiful Blue Flag beach - with plenty of sunbeds and water sports and shallow shelving sea - with safe bathing.
A small harbour at one end is overlooked by Agios Stefanos Church, and you can watch the fishermen at night from one or other of the tavernas at that end of the bay. O'Manthos is the oldest fish taverna and offers locally caught fresh fishes, lobsters and seafoods along with meat cooked on the charcoal.
Olive Press is a traditional taverna which is well patronised and once the food is gone it is gone- meaning that it is all cooked fresh every day. Barras Family restaurant provides good wholesome no frills foods - you can make up a Mezze of anything you fancy, Zorba's is a little more fancy with dancing waiters and linen tablecloths, and you can retire next door to Bar38 for cocktails or a nightcap- they provide a Quiz , Bingo and Live music.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food at Romanza our hotel - if you did not fancy the walk down and back you could quite easily stay there the whole week.
Thomas Bay Hotel had a wide ranging entertainment : disco, hypnotist and karaoki (if that floats your boat?) and in the daytime they served Cream Teas and Cakes - in temperatures of 36 degrees C it was maybe a bit too hot for us!
All in all a lovely place and on which we will return to one day

The resort lets down the Hotel as it is limited on the day and night time entertainment. Do try to use the sunbeds on the beach at least once while you are there as these are the people who keep the beach clean

San Stefanos is a lovely village and kept very clean. It's not very big but there are plenty of bars and a few shops. Teenagers would probably find it quite boring as there are no clubs and mad discos.
We went late in the season but there was always some entertainment going on in the bars. Everyone in the bars and shops were very friendly and seemed genuinley pleased to see us.If you need anything ie car hire, trips out or any information go to San Stefanos Travel and see Sally, she's very helpful.
The beach was clean and the water stayed shallow for quite away out and as you would expect around that area the water was crystal clear.
Wouls recommend this resort to anyone with young children and anyone over 35. Might just be a bit quiet for younger people.
