Average -not in a bad way but not in a spectactular way either, did the job for a good enough holiday. Staff were good and friendly although slightly surly if you take your money elsewhere. good food and weather, apartments clean and surroundings pretty and the grounds are kept well. too noisy tho, music goes on too late, spoils eveything and it helps the lager louts ruin good peoples holidays!

Being a regular to Crete over the years i have satyed in 7-8 different places and this place rates among the top 5 which is of good to average level. Cant realy say nothing negative or nothing too complimentary either, but, overall its a nice resort.

Hotel - clean, average, basic but overall was very adequate for a party holiday!

Staff - friendly, helpful, hard-working although I found them quite displeased if taking your money elsewhere eg. to other bars etc..

Service - sheets cleaned and changed daily

Food - adequate

The accommodation was fine, good location and facilities. Do not stay at these apartments if you like your sleep!!!!
The home made entertainment usually started at midnight and went on until early morning, and most of the time 2.00a.m to 4.20p.m.

The noise created by approx 8-12 people was amazing. They shouted, screamed and were very rowdy. Two nights of our holiday there was a pool party at 2.00a.m, throwing about full bottles of water and generally being riotous.

The house rules stated that the pool was out of use at nights and that noisy guests would not be tolerated. What a laugh!! Manos created these monsters by having the bar opened late - This is his main income. He was the main contributor to the bad behavior.

Our holiday was very cheap but I felt sorry for guests in adjoining properties who had to endure this noise every night having paid 4 star prices.

I loved Crete and the room but the noise was unbelievable, it is the worst behavior of other guests I have encountered in 30 years of traveling all over the world. It made me ashamed to say I was British.

What lovely apartments ! Very basic but spotlessly clean. Manos and Freedom and their two daughters are the nicest family and do all they can to keep you happy.

No entertainment unless you count Manos and his antics, keeps you smiling all day.

He is quite the entertainer at night two, made us laugh all the time.

We intend to go back as soon as we can.

Me and other half stayed here, i just wish it was nearer the main strip, i felt pretty out of it, i have been to Hersonnisos before but i have to say i would not stay in the Sun and Sea apartments again.

Let me put it like this, you have people who go back year after year to Sun and Sea apartments and it was really clicky, we felt like we were intruding on a private party when we went to the poolside bar for a drink in the evening. Now, don't get me wrong, Manos and Freedom were very nice people, and you could not want for anything. Mind you Manos plays the same tape night after night at the bar. It gets a little noisy in the evening,(at the poolside bar) but hey people ARE on hoilday.

Luckily we are the type who hire a car and have a good venture round the island, and having been to Crete a lot of times myself I know alot of the locals and bar ownwers in the main strip. ( should I have admitted to that???) ha ha.

The bed linin when we arrived was very unsavoury, I found a condom stuck to my sheet (it had oviously been trough the wash with the sheet and melted into it) ( yuk) needless to say Freedom apologised and supplied me with a clean sheet.

Apart from that the apartments are clean and just what you need. You have a fridge and pans to boil youre water, and all the utensils you need.

The pool was clean, and every evening around 7pm, Manos would hose around the pool and the surrounding areas. He likes to take your picture before you set off home to put in his album.

I don't know if Manos and Freedom and their daughters are still there at the Sun and Sea apartments as he was setting up his own hotel with an English friend of his, but if they are he will keep you higly entertained and try and teach you a little Greek. They have a bbq twice a week I think, we never went though, as we prefered to venture out on our own in the evening and not stay at the poolside bar night after night like most of the people who were staying there.

The location of the hotel is perfect a few minutes from the beach and on the main street in hersonissos.

The food was incredible Manos is an amazing cook!!!

The whole family manos, freedom, eva and georgia make you very welcome.

Manos on a night is the star of the hotel. You dont need any entertainment as long as he is there.

We have already booked for the same time 2007 and cant wait to go!!

We have just got back from a 2 week holiday at the sun and sea apartments (11 July - 26 July) and had a great time.

Manos, Freedom, Eva & Georgia were very friendly and welcoming and made our holiday fantastic.

The rooms were kept very clean by Freedom she was always popping in and out of the rooms making sure they were spotlessly clean.

Manos made the best food and cocktails, no one ever missed BBQ night for his great cooking and entertainment. After we ate we would all dance around the pool then eventually be thrown in by Manos. It is such a good place to have a holiday, We are definitely going back next year. We can't wait!! :)
