Me and my boyfriend Kelvin have just come back from Crete, we stayed at this apartment and thought it was the best place we had ever been to in our lives.
Manos and Freedom are the most loveliest people you'll ever come across, also their daughters Eva and Georgia who are very young and speak English perfect.
You never really had to go out cos you could stay at the bar and get drunk on Manos's cocktails and get stuffed from his famous mixed grill and even play pool on his warped pool table!!!!! I recommend the BBQ on the Sundays although we went to bed early cos of our sunburns. They also taunt a lot of Greek words to us made us feel like we were one big family.
The rooms were always clean and tidy. If you go to Sun and Sea, when Manos shouts "Ela" you know you're for a shot of one of his cocktails. Don't forget to shout yamas

Just returned from a two week holiday here.
The appartments were excellent, run by Manos and Freedom and their two daughters Eva and Georgia. These people really made our holiday. They are so friendly and will provide all the entertainment you will need.
Manos is always getting you to the bar for free shots and makes fantastic food.
There are only 12 apartments, which is great because you get to know everyone and end up spending loads of time with them.
Sunday night bbqs were fantastic, manos' sister and his wife provide the entertainment and get everyone up dancing.
We will definately go back here. We can't thank Manos and Freedom enough for making our holiday so good, they deserve a medal for what they do.

I have just got back 2 weeks ago, from staying at the Sun and Sea. My parents and their friends stayed there, the pervious year and they said it was fantastic. We went and got the biggest welcome and then when we told Manos and Freedom, who my parents were, it was even better. My parents and their friends came out in the second week.
The apartments were always kept clean, by Freedom. Manos cooked lovely meals, and as everyone keeps mentioning, his BBQ's. They are the best, great food and great entertainment. After your meal, you dance around the pool, then everyone jumps in, then it's one big pool party. I will definately be going back next year. Manos,Freedom and their two lovely daughters, Eva and Georgia made my holiday fantastic.

The apartment was very very clean and well looked after. Manos and Freedom are very obliging and look after guests very well.
The apartments are a short walk away from the main street where all the restaurants are, but there is a lovely taverna opposite with lovely food and excellent staff!! There is no formal entertainment, but Manos is always ready to show you how to dance 'greek style' and to throw unsuspecting people in the pool.
Manos makes a mean cocktail shot, and likes to get everyone together with his 'yammas!'
We all had a good time, and will be going back again very soon. It's a home from home for cat lovers, which Freedom is happy for you to feed.
It's a really great place, worthy of more than 2 stars.

We holidayed at Sun & Sea Apartments in May 2006 on honeymoon although we had our son with us.
These apartments are an extremely family run establishment with limited entertainment on site, however we found that due to the welcoming atmosphere we remained at the pool side bar with the family and other holiday makers throughout the holiday both daytime and evening.
Manos who runs these apartments is extremely well known for his chef capabilities and we enjoyed some delicious meals throughout our stay. Sunday night is barbecue night, great night and extremely good value for money.
Freedom cleans the apartments each day and you only have to ask should you need new bedding, towels, extra pillows. We will be visiting Sun & Sea apartments again in the future.

The apartments are excellent although they are basic, but comfortable and clean. The hoilday was self catering, but Manos and Freedom did cook meals as well as snacks these are much cheaper than other restaurants in crete and to a much much better standard.
The location is fantastic it is close enough if you enjoy night life entertainment but not too close to be disturbed if you like a quite evening.
The town provides night life for every age group. the apartments are run by a Greek family who are very friendly nothing is to much trouble, we have travelled for the last four years sometimes going twice a year.
We are always made to feel welcome it is like visiting another part of the family. There is no structured entertainment but Manos is always there with his quick humour and throwing unsuspecting holiday makers in the pool.
If you have have not been to Crete it is well worth the trip. the people are welcoming friendly and these people are very child friendly. We will be returning in August 2007.

We love this place we have been back five times we will go back year after year manos and freedom are great they will bend over backwards too help you.
We have had many a good night at the bar and had plenty of good meals they are very cheap and they are lots of fun.
I would not go any where else now will be going back in August 07 I can't wait. Lots of red vodka!

Just returned from a 2 week stay in the sun and sea appts, had a ground floor appt which was only 7 strides to the pool.
The complex is small with a super swimming pool, plenty of sun loungers,with a pool side bar serving drinks and snacks throughout the day.
The size of the complex makes this a very sociable place and you can't help but make friends here, whether your a couple or family, in fact the late night gatherings around the bar made this stay an awesome event.
The complex is family run by manos and freedom, they are a super family and go out of their way to make you feel welcome, indeed the free coffee and cake on offer in the mornings was their personal touch as was the legendary sunday evening bbqs, we will never foget this.
Situated near the hectic busy main road we were suprised how little noise there was, the downside was dodging the quad bikes, scooters etc in order to cross over to the supermarket, you really do have to be careful.
Near to star beach,a riding stable next door, 5 mins walk down to the beach, all in all a wonderful holiday, but hard to have an early night as manos entices you to the bar for a (yamas) and this goes on into the early hours.
Air con available at 5 euros per night, most welcome, sheets and towels changed regular.
Appartments basic but what else do you need? We will return, simply awesome !!

Ill be totally honest and give you the real deal here.
1) Location:
Terrible! - The apartment is situated directly next to a small horse riding circuit. The first thing we noticed was the smell of horse droppings which lingered throughout our stay there. Directly behind the horses, there was a large fairground ride (Slingshot) which attracts plenty of drunks)
On the other side of the apartments there is a commercial area which has an outdoor nightclub party once a week (sometimes up until 3am with very loud sound system)
It's also located at the edge of a very busy road, so be cautious when crossing the road especially at night as there is poor visibility. Across the road, there is a great supermarket with all the usuals you would expect, plus a cash machine.
(be very careful of Big Quad bikes and mopeds speeding past you, even on the pavement)
Further down the high street you would find nice restaurants and bars, and make sure you explore the side streets near the (harbour) beach where you will find many traditional restaurants and small shops with interesting bits.
Beaches were very small and very packed with people by 11:00am.

The room was kept tidy and we found it cosy, with no complaints.

We were invited to a barbeque by the staff one day, which we though was kind, and the food tasted lovely, however we felt a little bit disappointed and uncomfortable when he told me that we owed him

The Sun and Sea Apartments! We were very surprised when returning home to find that these apartments were only rated at a 2*!!
The apartments were in a fab location very small and personal and we couldnt of asked for more. They are family run with a lovely size pool and only a few rooms, so a brill opportunity to get to know all your neighbours!
The apartments were right next door to a free small water park and a horse riding centre. The water park had a couple of slides, the lazy river, a bar pumping out music and was right on the sea, with water sports.
