Location
When we got in we were also shown our rooms by a very unhelpful security guard who, as we struggled up the steep staires with our cases, just watched us. It was actually a group of lads staying there that took pity and help us carry our cases up in the end!
Our rooms were tiny! They say its self catering but how anyone could cook in that space I'll never no!
It was dirty and the rooms were too hot and air conditioning was available but for 8euros a day which for 2 weeks is 112 euros you would rather spend on a night out!
WE actually ended up staying with our friends in the Frixos Appartments for the first week cos we hated ours so much, now that was a hotel I would recommend to anyone going to malia for a clubbng holiday!!
The reps were amazing! and the trips are well worth going on, especially the 'Skool Disco' and 'Booze Cruise'!
The hill is a nightmare! Walking down is fine, but walking back up from the shop in the day with food and water, is a mission in itself! And walking back up at night is dangerous for a group of girls, men stopping in cars and making suggestive comments etc...would not recommend it at all! Taxi is the best way to get back my far, but again 7/10 euros a day gets a lot!
Malia as a resort is AMAZING! Would recommend to anyone, really good bars and clubs, cheap and everyone is dead friendly!
The pool is nice however pool bar is expensive and food and drink sizes are very small, food is also not the best quality! And their are massive red ants everywhere and bee's and wasps! I got stung twice in four days!!
The security guard also told us to be quite although we never got given a formal warning, however he did wake us up one night(well morning 5am!) thinking we were making noise when it was our neighbours!
Do not book this hotel please! For couples its fine but young people noway! Firstchoice advised us badly!

We only ate at the pool bar a couple of time mainly for breakfast which was nice and reasonably priced. The only thing that was annoying that you couldnt take anything you bought from the supermarket around the pool and a small bottle of water from there was 2 euro's! - but we would just fill them up from the water we bought from the supermarket.
The Location of the apartments were great from our parties point of view we were a little apprehensive after reading the reviews but the walk up and down the hill really isn't that bad as everyone makes out - but for lazy people a taxi is only 7 euros!
We was so glad that we were not staying on the Strip as you would never get any sleep ever! its constantly on the go 24hrs a day! The apartments are also set back from the road surrounded by mountains with good views!
The staff were pleasant and friendly. The rules are good as well otherwise you wouldn't be able to have the lazy days around the pool to just relax (although we may have broken a couple)
Overall I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxed day and to go out during the night.

The views were fantastic, the staff couldn't help you enough (Mandy's fruit punch cocktails are legendary and cheap!) and as a group of 5 young girls they were not sterotypical towards us at all which was a refreshing change.
There is a walk to town but the taxi's are only 7euros between the group thats nothing. The walk isn't that bad in all honesty even at 4/5 o'clock in the morning a little worse for wear it still wasn't that bad.
The security was brill, so so helpful to a friend. If I go back to Malia without a doubt I'd stay here again!
Brilliant place to stay if you want the nightlife to remain in the night, and to chill out by the pool in the day to charge up for the next night of mayhem that Malia offers.

The apartment was ok sized but the beds where so uncomfortable i really didn't get a good night sleep the whole 2 weeks i was there, we talked to everyone that was staying in the hotel the same time as us and got along with everyone.
Night times where ridiculous, the security guard tells you off for whispering your heels being too loud talking anything, don't have a hotel in Malia where young groups go if you can't even come home when your drunk and talk, if you break something you better have 400 euros spare as the breakage list (on the back of your door) is ridiculous 200 euros if you damage the table 200 euros for the curtains 160 euros for one of the plastic chairs in the garden that we saw in the supermarket for 10 euros its a joke!!
Mandy was lovely we loved Mandy shes a star, the reps that come to the hotel (Camilla and Daryl)they make your holiday in to the best holiday ever (if you on twenty's) its worth the money and its so amazing we spent 220 euros for 2 weeks doing there set thing and we will never forget the memories and friends we now have.
The hotel was ok, food was awful, night times rubbish and beds crud however the hill everyones moaning about is not that bad and when your paralytic it feels like you fly up it its fine!! just take your shoes off oh and if your scared of wasps they are all around the pool area so be careful of that!! oh and at the bottom of the hill the cutest little puppy comes out and sees you we called him dipstick be nice to him cuz we saw people kicking him last time!! he looks like a little lion cub very cute you can't miss him!!
Anyway enjoy your stay and don't brake any thing and be very quite!! lol not a young person place if your a couple go there.

Our group was split up into two rooms and the first thing he did was send us to the wrong rooms and then just stood and laughed at us struggling to get our cases up the stairs.
When we eventually got to our rooms they were very, very basic, one of the rooms were next to the communal toilet and wasn't attached to the rest of the hotel. It was impossible to have a shower without the whole bathroom floor getting wet. We also didn't have air on for the whole two weeks, one room didn't have the facilities and if you did have it it cost 8 euros a night, which would have been quite a lot of drinking money wasted.
The pool area was ok, but they're were quite a lot of wasps around. We also got told we couldn't bring our own water around the pool which I thought was ridiculous as it was two euros for a bottle of water from the pool bar which you could get from the supermarket for 20 cents. The supermarket was about a 10 minute walk down the hill, it wasn't that bad of a walk but it was a pain carrying 6 big bottles of water up it.
At 4 o clock Mandy comes on to the pool bar and she is absolutley fantastic, probably the best thing about the hotel. One of the highlights of the stay though was when of the mountain goats came for a visit and was just running round the hotel, this happened twice. We named him bellend!! There was also a cute little dog that followed a few people up to the hotel, that got named dipstick.
When you come in from a night out you have to be silent otherwise you'll get a warning, a lot of the people from the hotel managed to come back at the same time and were making a little bit of noise, the security started showing off and then koula (the hotel manager) came out. The next day we got issued a warning and when we asked what for, we just got told not to argue otherwise we'd get thrown out there and then, so we had no option but to sign.
The cleanliness of the rooms were okay but we only got new towels 3 times in the whole two weeks and the sheets got changed once. The food wasn't worth what you got and wasn't really nice, but the food at the barbeque was really nice, i recommend you go to the barbeque on the friday night, its always dead on the strip on a friday because of changeover night, or you can always go to the barbeque then out afterwards.
The walk to the strip is about 15 mins, which can be a pain in heels, but the taxi's are happy to take 5 people and its only 7 euros. Everyone who were staying at the hotel in our first week were great and we all spoke to each other. The hotel reps (Daryl and Camilla) were also great and were a laugh when you're out with them.

The managers are a nightmare. People were being told off for having fun and making too much noise in the pool. Bar prices were shocking.
I wouldn't reccommend this hotel to anybody, avoid at all costs
