Staff were constantly looking for damages in the room to charge us extra money for. The hotel is situated in the middle of nowhere which seems like miles after a nightout.

The host Koula was excellent and very helpful at all times with a personal touch. The prices of food in and around the pool area were very steep, packet of crisps at nearby supermarket were 1:20 euros yet at the hotel were 3:50 !! - big increase so be aware.
Rooms were basic but wot do you expect over there, heat was supressive at times especially with no breeze. Goats and Olive tree insects could be annoying.
The walk from the hotel to the top of the strip is fifteen minutes, downhill and then a long uphill on the way back but quicker to go down to Stalis and walk along the road to the strip.
Lush bread to be had just 100 yards down that hill at the bakers, gemini supermarket dearer but at least with a part smile from staff. The big supermarket are full of miserable baskets who seem to resent the Brits.

The staff are very friendly and the service is great.
The room was great to it was very spacious and was very clean but the shower needs a new shower curtain ha ha.
I would tell people to visit the hotel the only problem is that it is in the mountains with the goats and its about a 20 minute walk to the top of the main strip.

George the owner threatened to kick us out on the first night for making noise (we weren't!) I know a lot of people who were threatened with this same treatment for no apparent reason. I don't expect to pay nearly

The room we had was basic but all the essential things were there - with the exception of a toaster.
We arrived at 5am and were given the keys to our room straight away, which was great as we wanted to get some sleep.
At about 1pm we ventured up to the reception and pool area, we were met by KOULA - the manageress - What a welcome ! It was as if we were long lost friends.
We enquired where the local shop was, which was a 15 min walk down the hill, Koula told us to leave any heavy shopping there and she would drive down to collect it for us on our return - how nice is that !
The food available at the poolside bar, was reasonable and there was plenty of choice - we sampled the "full breakfast" once but as we were self catering we had no need to eat there - plenty of the other guest ate there every day and I didnt hear any complaints.
It was open from 10am until the last person leaves, food and drinks available at any time. The staff were very friendly and polite and mady you feel so welcome.
The other residents were really nice, ALL ages, one elderly couple had been coming here for 8 years and would not dream of going anywhere else !
There was, however ONE that did spoil things - a female in her 50's, she obviously had a drink problem and liked the sound of her own voice - the first night she kept people awake with loud music till 3am, she was told by Koula that if it happened again, she would be out, the following night, it happened again and Koula "laid in wait" for her, she was told to leave but after a load of "tears" and "sorry's", she was given one more chance - and we did not hear her again, or see very much of her either! -
So if you are looking to live it up and make a lot of noise - you can expect to be looking for alternative accommodation.
The brouchure was "spot on" - it was fabulous - the location was off the beaten track and SO peaceful it was perfect, the pool was kept spotlessly clean.
Malia was about a 15min walk down the hill (not suitable for high heels), there is a vast amount of restaurants to choose from.We ate at a different one every night, and to work the food off, we even walked back!
Malia its self was MANIC - the hot spot is THE STRIP, went there on the first night and that was MORE than enough enough. The OLD TOWN is wonderful, thats where you will find the tavernas and restaurants - you are spoilt for choice.
Stallis is also about a 15 - 20min walk, its not as crazy as Malia and there are loads of restaurants to choose from too.
Koula does a BBQ night once a week - this is NOT to be missed. This was on our last night and it was FANTASTIC, the food was wonderful and SO MUCH of it, I think we paid 15euros, it was excellent value.
We would definatley go there again and reccommend it -if you want a quiet relaxing holiday this is the place to be. The night life is not too far away if you want to live it up a little - so you have the best of both worlds!

You have a wonderful view of the sea an always get to enjoy a suttle brezze! The local shop is a 15 min walk so its best to hire transport.
The bar staff make you feel very welcomed and offer an exciting range of food. You can change your money up there aswell. Its a family run place so you may feel more secure as its a trust worthy stay.
I stayed there for two weeks and didnt want to come back. I'm going back next year!!!!
