Sissi is a quiet but lovely village, not for the night owl but definitely for enjoying a drink and meal and watching the sunset.
Small beach but never overcrowded, water crystal clear and great to swim in.
Staff in any taverna we went into were very good ,friendly
All in all very nice

Sissi is a small village and very quiet. There is a very small beach at the harbour and another shingle beach called Bufos. There is a very nice sandy beach at the Kalimari Kriti Hotel which can be reached by climbing over the rocks from Bufos beach. This beach is by far the nicer. Dont go to Sissi if you are looking for lively nightlife as the pace of life is very slow and relaxing. You can have a nice drink/meal overlooking the sea from any of the resturants/tavernas down by the harbour. The local people are all very nice and friendly. We enjoyed 2 weeks in the resort and would recommend it for a quiet relaxing break.

There was no beach its all rocks but the resort itself is really nice and clean and only about a 10 minute walk away from the hotel to the main village of Sissi.
There is a train goes round everyday which is only about £3.50ea which lasts an hour but its not to be missed but also recommend taking your camera as you stop to take pictures.
There is a pub 2 mins down the road Sissi arms really nice and British owners. Round the corner from the Spa of Vasia is another pub with a very good cheap pool table and crazy golf also staff speak very good english.
Would recommend going!!!!!!!!!

The pretty town of Sissi was within 5-10 mins walk with a good selection of shops and restaurants. I do recommend you take the train tour which stops just outside the hotel, it takes about 45 mins and gives you a good insight into the surrounding area take your camera because there is some great scenery.
We hired a car for two days from a little hire shop next door to the pharmacy for only 50 euros, visiting the usual places like Agio Nick which is a great place to shop and people watch, very pretty and busy in a nice way. We also visited the water park (Aqua City) which was great, you pay an entrance fee, they give you a wrist band and everything you purchase is charged to the wrist band and you pay on the way out, which means you can lock your valuables away in the provided lockers, (Be sure to take enough money or be embarrassed as I did on the way out when the bill was 37 euro and I only had 17.
This was easy resolved they charged the hotel and I paid the shortfall to the hotel reception, however it took longer to make it up to the wife!) Entrance was about 16 euro each, this park is situated in the mountains and the scenery was breathtaking, also because it was early season there was no need to queue on any of the slides. I would recommend the resort of Sissi to families and couples looking for a relaxing low key holiday, who enjoy breathtaking scenery, friendly people, good food and total relaxation.

Sissi is a small resort with plenty of restaurants and some bars. Most of the restaurants are situated around the small harbour looking out to sea. When we were there in the Whit Holidays at the end of May it was very quiet. If you want noisy bars etc., Malia is a taxi ride away! There is a tiny beach in the centre of town but you have to climb over sharp rocks to get into the sea. The other beach is a 15 minute walk away or 10 minutes if you prefer to climb over the rocks. This is a lovely large beach, white sand and clear shallow water. There is a large hotel behind it which has the beach bar. I heard a German man being charged 14 euros for 2 large beers!!!!

sissi bay is a wonderful resort, and would definatley go there again! it is a warm and friendly place. all the eating, bars, shops etc are without a doubt of a high standard. the 'jolly roger' pub/diner in particular, is a place i would recommend. very warm and friendly. sissi is situated 7km from malia and 10km from hersonisis. cabs are cheap as is hiring a quad or car. the beach area is a little small, but the view is great. i give the resort 10/10, everything there, its quiet, relaxing, but enough to keep you busy.

We went for a walk into Sissi Bay resort and were very impressed by the lack of litter and the friendliness of the locals.
The Kera bar and the staff were amazing and we were made to feel as if it was our local. The shops were well presented and the selection of goods were excellent. However I would advise shopping about. Tina and Manos at the crazy golf were absolutely mad and brilliant.
The drinks and food were great and reasonably priced. IT is a MUST to play crazy golf and it closes when the last person leaves. (We left at 3am one morning). All of the bars and restaurants we tried could not be faulted on the standards of excellence but I would advise shopping about for prices to suit your budget.
Snorkelling in the bay is a must as the fish swim right up to you.

Sissi is a small fishing village with a nice little harbour overlooked by several bars and restaurant's our favorite bar was the Aura with a deck over the sea, a nice place to sit and watch the world go by. Another nice bar is the Calipso in the town run by Keith and Maureen which served the best cup of tea around (they also serve a selection of English food).
Public transport is limited to an early bus out returning around 6.30 pm unless you walk 2km to the main road for a more frequent service. Car hire and taxis abound.
There are ample small supermarkets and other shops for self catering holiday makers. We found trips a lot cheaper to buy from a local tourist office than the holiday reps.

Sissy Bay is a small resort with a lovely beach and harbour. There are many restaurants along the harbour side and nice walks within the resort.
There was a lot of litter in certain areas of the resort but none near the hotel.
This is a resort that I would have chosen as it is good for a relaxing holiday.

The resort overall, was absolutely fantastic. It was very clean, not a piece of rubbish in sight. There was always entertainment. If i remember rightly, there was a club down the road from Angela called 'Palace'. That was open till late. The beach was good, but if you wanted to get to the bigger beach, you had to climb over rocks. However there was a smaller beach which you could get to without climbing over anything. All in all, my holiday was my favorite so far.
