Myltopi is a restaurant that you will be able to see from the pool area at Billy’s. It looks like a windmill but it’s a beautiful restaurant. It is a bit pricey but the food and service are outstanding! If you ring up in advance they will take you to and from the restaurant for free!

Kefalos is a loveley resort, it's true but the people here really are more friendly than elsewhere in greece. There are 1 or 2 nightclubs but we never saw anyone in side. Several cocktail bars, and loads of tavernas and restaurants along the length of the resort. The beach is very long and most bars/restaurants will let you use the sunloungers if you purchase from them. Alternatively there are loads of pool bars open to the public. The beach has several watersport centers, for windsurfing pedalos etc, or you can walk/get the bus to the other beahches along the coast.

Kefalos is a quieter area of Kos, about 20 minutes from
Airport. There are numerous bars and restaurants, catering
for all food types.
The beach was shingle in some areas, and the harbour
was very pretty. Never spent a lot of time on the beach,
mostly around the pool area of studios.
We hired 2 cars and visited most of the Island, Zia at
sunset is a sight to see. Also went across to Nysaros,
and visited Volcano. This is well worth a visit. As with
all pools in Kos, they are open to public, but ours never got over-crowded.

the resort was ideal with everything you could ask for, plently bars and restaurants to suit everyones tastes, from quiet laid back bars, to the more lively karaoke places ie. sydneys.
the beach is pebbly with plently watersports available from jetski's which are 30 euros for 15 minutes, to parascending which is 35 euros. however the beaches improve as you go further north, with paradise beach for the livelier activities and magic beach for relaxing on a sun lounger.
renting a quad (from Katerinas which was the cheapest - 39 euros for 3 days) was the best decision we made as you were able to travel pretty much the length of the island in a short space of time. had we realised this earlier we would have avoided the rep's trips as they are cheaper in resort or to go yourself. apart from the greek night in zia (which was amazing) we didnt enjoy the trips and neither did the other families we spoke to. especially the waterpark, which was small, expensive and to be honest not that good.
all in all the best holiday we have had, and one of the best resorts in greece, we will definately be returning to these apartments and recommending to others.

Ideal place for a fairly quiet relaxing break.

There were good and bad points abouts Kefalos. the good points were it was laid back and good for a chill out holiday. The locals were friendly and car hire was cheap. There was an excellent choice of restaurants/tavernas. We especially liked Hubs,Rainbow and the Stop Inn. For a pricier but good quality meal serving nice fish try Argos. The poor points were the beach which was course sand, shingle and stones and it shelved quite steeply into the cold sea(for Greece).the bus service was irregular and it was difficult to get about without a car. Finally there was a strong wind here most days which had the advantage of cooling but the disadvantage of blowing the shingle on the beach which made sitting on a towel uncomfortable.

Kefalos in our opinion is worth going to once but is not a resort we would return to. The beach was disappointing but the tavernas were excellent and reasonably price. We would nominal our favourites as Captain Johns, Kampos and Argo. We hired a car from Manolis car rental who were very good and toured the island of Kos. a lot of worthwhile places to visit and the only place we did not like was Kardamana which was very tacky, touristy and best for the young and single .Do not miss the day trip to the volcanic island of Nissyros but book locally and not through the tour company. We found the locals here very friendly and helpful.

Very nice resort but bad transport links to rest of the island. More there than I would have thought

We stayed in the resort of kefalos. this has bee our second visit to the area. It ia a beautiful part of the island with stunning views. The resort has a great selection of bars and restuarants and would be definetly be returning next year.

Kefalos is a relaxing resort which was pleasant for one holiday but we would not return again. The sea was very cold here for some reason and it was rather windy all the time. There is a good choice of tavernas reasonably priced and some low key bars. Take a day trip to the volcano on the island of Nissyros from the harbour at Kefalos. A really worth while and interesting day out.Car hire is cheap and is recoomended to explore the island and some of the less exposed and better beaches.

The resort was clean & tidy & appeared to be being spruced up for the coming season while we were there.
We did not see much in the way of entertainment, but did hire a car from yannis at Trust car rental for 3days & went on our own sightseeing trip.
The Beach standard while we were there was not very good, the beach being littered with all kinds of things including a bag of cement.
The beach was a lot better as you walk up towards Club Med, but we did notice in the harbour area the Beach looked like it was being cleaned up. The beach is sand & a scattering of pebbles.
