Just returned from this hotel stayed for 2 weeks was excellent.
The food was poor though! Had a great time staff are friendly and helpful the animation team was sound especially goldmember AKA (raluca) (very tight like a tiger ha ha yesh)threw her in the pool everyday.
Was a really good holiday and am going back in August 2008 there is more of us coming for Faliraki part 2!!!

This is a warning to anyone booking as a group. My party of 7 and several other group bookings whom we spoke to whilst at this hotel were extremely disappointed when we arrived due to the fact that the hotel puts you in less rooms that you have paid for. We booked a family room plus two twin rooms but got two family rooms. If we'd have wanted the cheaper option then that's what we would have booked. Because of personal circumstances we required 3 rooms. Due to the hotel being full they could not accommodate us. This was the beginning of July so I feel I must warn anyone going in July or August they will more than likely experience the same problem. Some guests couldn't even stay at this hotel because of overbooking so had to stay elsewhere. They had paid for all inclusive but were moved to an half board hotel. They might get away with it by doing this to the younger generation but my party consisted of 50 to 67 year olds and we were not happy. All we were offered was a bottle of wine and fruit (which means nothing if you are all inc. and a safety deposit box!!
Our room had not been refurbished. The family room was divided into two so our half had a curtain that only fitted half the window, giving too much light. The air cond in our half did not work. We had no wardrobe or dressing table in our half. Wallpaper hanging off the walls.When I found out it had happened to lots of others I just felt like I had been conned. I wish someone had warned me on this hotel review page.
If you are going as a couple or family, the hotel was ok. The food wasn't bad. They had a Mexican night, Italian night, Bbq night. Not much choice for children. The childrens reps were very good.The ones who were fortunate enough to have a refurbished room said they were good.
But because of the way we were treated we won't be going back.

Hotel itself was spot on with all staff working flat out.
Badly let down by the poor quality of the food,the poorest AI we have seen,
Entertaiment was mosty home grown but got pass marks for keeping all happy.
Would go back only if the food was improved we went out to eat 4 times during fortnight.20 euro's a week with no return for the safe deposit is far to steep they must make a fortune over the season.

Hotel had just been refurbished,we thought it was gorgeous.
Room good size and cleaned every day.staff were very polite and happy in their work.
Food was very good,but needs to be kept warm better but no good for children because their was no kiddies kind of food, which being ai you would think there would be.
Pool was clean but cold but once in you got used to it.
Location was great as we did not want to be in the middle of town, only took 5-10 mins to walk into centre. Beach was clean.
All in all we had a great holiday and would definitely use the hotel again.

Stayed at the Sun Palace for a week from Sat 23rd Sept. with my partner and our 14 year old son. I booked this holiday independently with OTBEACH.com via the Internet.

Disappointed in general and would'nt go back. But others may like it, depends on the individual.
Hotel generally clean, but looks shabby from outside.
Food very repetative, but quite tasty I suppose if you don't mind eating the same thing every day.
Location OK, away from main area of Falaraki so a bit like a resort in itself.
Staff really offhand and unfriendly. Hotel advertised as a 5*, more like poor 3*!!
Entertainment group tried hard and to be honest they were excellent, hotel full of germans, french and belgians so they tried to do everything in several languages to please everyone!!
TIP: Do not hire a car from the car hire company based in the hotel. I won't name names or say anymore, just DON'T do it.
I wouldn't go back here, if I return to Rhodes it will be to Lindos or another part.

Just returned from the Sun Palace hotel, absolutely brilliant!
At first we where in a separate block to the hotel but where soon moved to a room over looking the pool(They're much nicer)

Having just returned, we found that the hotel probably wasn't a four star but saying that it was very clean.
Food was really good but got a bit boring at times.
Location was exellent as you were just five mins outside Falaraki, which was close enough.
Hotel staff were great and helpful.
Entertainment was also very good for all ages.
I would go again had a really good time and so did my daughter.

The hotel was generally very clean, although when we arrived at 3 in the morning the bathroom hadnt been cleaned.
However the cleaners sorted it out in the morning and then came in to clean every day. the staff were friendly and could mostly speak some English, and the entertainment was enjoyable, with lots of variety.
The food was nice, although a bit samey, but there was lots to choose from. The breakfasts were extremely nice!!
The location was ideal, the beach was across the road, and all the bars and shops were about a 10/15 minute walk away, there was also 2 supermarkets over the road.
It was close to everything but far enough away for us not to be disturbed by noise. It was back from the road so you couldn't really hear the traffic. Would stay ther again!!!

This hotel is basic but clean the staffs are generally very pleasant but not as welcoming as I have found in other hotels in Rhodes.
A couple of minor repairs that were needed in our rooms were dealt with very quickly and efficiently.
The food is of very good quality and there was always something for the fussiest of people. While on holiday I like to eat outside so for the first few nights we would take our plates and find a table outside, as it was not like sitting in a canteen and felt much more relaxed until I started to get irritated by people lighting up cigarettes etc around while we were eating I then realized that this was the smoking area and inside was non smoking. I felt this was unfair and that an area outside could have been designated for non smokers.
The hotel is in a good position for touring the island and is close enough to Falaraki if you want to walk in but out of the way of any noise although it does seem to becoming much more family orientated thank goodness.
I have heard that it is being refurbished over the winter so I do hope they get new beds as they were the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced and had me wishing i was going home which is a shame as Rhodes is my most favourite place to be.
