Location
The food was unappetising and luke warm. It would have been nice to have had feta cheese at night as an accompaniment to the salads.
Hotel location fine - busy road to cross for the beach though.
Hotel staff friendly.
Met some lovely people at the hotel and it made the holiday for us.
Entertainment in the day fine if you like sporty activities, evening entertainment really poor, but no fault of the entertainment staff more down to the management.

Although we were initially disappointed not to be greeted by Gian Carlos from last year's entertainment team, we were more than compensated by the presence of Peter and Stefan, who made us welcome and involved in everything (whether we liked it or not!)
We dragged Peter on a few nights out, and have really missed him since we have been home!!
We were met by the same old faces from last year (Costas, Demitris, Yiannis and Nikos) who recognised me immediately (I must have made an impression!) Jim was a bit startled, but soon realised that we were in great company!!
Everything to do with the hotel was great, as expected. I knew I could rely on the Sun Palace Hotel to provide me a Top Class Holiday. They sure did!!
Will recommend Kelly's Irish Bar and Jimmy's Bar, keep your eyes open for them, well worth a visit as the staff are so friendly.
Even got offered two jobs whilst we were there, unfortunately we made the silly mistake of coming home. I will live to regret that decision.
Jim and I became so close this holiday we marked our love for each other with matching rings from Nikki's Gold. Well worth a visit to the beautiful sisters who run the shop!!
Thankyou to everyone at the Sun Palace, who made our holiday complete. We will see you next year!

On arrival, after a seven hour flight delay, which didn't help matters anyway, we were allocated two twin rooms which were situated away from the main hotel in an annexe to the rear of the swimming pool, rooms 129 and 130.
Access to this area was via a series of alleyways some of which were unlit. The rooms although quite large, were very basic, the shower head was broken, and there were bare wires from the tv wall socket. The patio area of both rooms backed onto some waste ground where access could have been easily gained by the prolific burglar. There was also a table full of dirty, empty, and partly consumed glasses just outside the door entrance to each room. We were not at all happy with any of this, and complained immediatly.
On speaking to the reception staff who were helpful and in fairness to them, we were re-allocated another two rooms in the main hotel building which were far better. These were still very basic, but acceptable, however there was lack of drawer space for clothing.
The restaurant in the hotel felt more like a transport cafe! (very basic) You certainly felt as if you didn't have to dress up for the evening meal! The choice of food was not varied enough, and each place setting on the tables was one knife and fork only, even at the evening meals.
Some meals were better than others, but dishes looked unappetising in their presentation. We didn't eat lunch or dinner consecutively on any day during our stay, and went out for breakfast most mornings. As for the all drinks some were watered down.
Thankfully the location of the hotel made it easy to purchase food in the many bars and restaurants nearby
Entertainment was poor, although the animation team did their best.
All in all, we had a nice holiday but were very dissappointed after reading the rave reviews of the hotel prior to booking.

This is our third visit to this hotel; the main reason we returned was because of the bargain price.
I have to say that on arrival we were allocated rooms in the main building overlooking the rear of the hotel, on both our previous visits our rooms had been exceptional (compared with the usual Greek standards)
This time however we were very unhappy with the standard of the rooms.
The reception staff dealt with our request to move efficiently and we were re allocate two very nice rooms away from the main building and overlooking the pool, these were a completely different standard to the ones in the main building.
The hotel was as well maintained, as on our previous visits, there was no litter or mess to be seen with staff constantly attending to the grounds.
The food was not as good as previous visits with less choice and less staff in the restaurant, on two occasions we had to wait for plates to be bought out of the kitchen, on several occasions they ran out of the more popular dishes and on the Greek night they ran out of moussaka at 8.30pm with an hour to go before the restaurant doors closed !!
Plates were left uncleared on your table; I think that there were a lot less waiting staff than on my previous visit.
The housekeeping was no as good this time, the rooms were serviced every day but they would leave glasses and plates that had been used in rooms outside on a trolley for several days before being removed.
There were mosquitoes everywhere and everyone was affected by them, I asked why we had no air-conditioning available and was told that it was not turned on until June, as a result there was no alternative but to open your window and be eaten alive !! .... I think they will be dying out by now but be warned if you intend travelling early in the season.
Great location ... everything is available within a short walk.
I have read the comments about the drinks being weak, they may be but there is no way that the hotel is 'watering' down stuff, they open the bottle and pour it out, it may be less proof than in the uk but just drink more .... It

The standard of Sun Palace is Good because we have a great team, from the barmans till the cleaners, we all respect each other and coorperating till we have good results, and this thanks to the general manager wich he make all the staff to work as a team in a very good way, thats why most of the guest who choose Sun Palace had a fantastic time.
Hope to see u all next year...

The hotel is very well run and most of the rooms are of excellent quality, the first time we stayed in one of the bungalows in the grounds and thought that was good but this time we had a family room which had two bed rooms and a huge balcony together with all the usual stuff and then some .... fridge, T.V.,armchairs,remote control air-conditioning.
Because we had been before there was even a complementary basket of fruit and wine in the room.
The food was excellent but I suppose you can have too much of a good thing and if you were there for two weeks there may be a chance that it gets a little repetitive especially the kiddies section, although it didn't affect us there was little in the way of vegetarian options but I think this is normal throuought Greece.
The location is great for Faliraki you can walk to town in no time or you can hire a car or moped from any of the local places. we hired a car for four days for 120 euros it was excellent if you want a scooter try Jannie motorbike rental on the opposite side of the road to the left.
I wanted to take the wife into Kalithea for some last minute shopping (fake rolex, fake gucci, fake D&G all excellent) and only needed transport for half a day Jannie remembered me from three months earlier and insisted that I took a scooter for the afternoon NO CHARGE !!! the hire shop run by the German lady just down the road wanted 30 euros.
The staff are really excellent the rooms are cleaned and serviced every day and everyone goes that extra mile to ensure you have the time of your life.
The entertainment team work really hard all day and there is always something going on.
Overall a great choice of hotel ,friendly clean in a good location and part of the larger Aquasol group of hotels

The barstaff were polite and hardworking and we rarely saw queues.
The pool was lovely and clean.
Our only complaint was the entertainment. We found the entertainment team rude and arrogant.
Overall we had a fantastic holiday. We spent our days on the beach and ate out in Rhodes town every night. Maybe we expected too much from a 4* hotel!!

The staff are most friendly and the entertainment is once again as always excellent. I know the animation team well and I know how hard they work to make everyone's visit an enjoyable one....... arrogant and rude they are not!!!
This was my 7th time of visiting....I have read other guest's reports and must say they pretty much refelct everything I am saying apart from one.
Mentioning no names........it seems some people are never satisfied, they are petty and most of the time jealous that others have had wonderful holidays. If you want the Ritz go to the Ritz....if you want fun come to Sun Palace but please don't criticize the people who work so hard to make your holiday as pleasant as possible.
