I loved the island, Faliraki seems to have shrugged off it's crazy clubber image and we certainly didn't see any trouble whilst we were there. Plenty of restaurants and bars open till all hours and it was lovely and safe to walk around late at night. I'm not sure I could have amused myself there for 7 days but great transport links to other beautiful plabes in rhodes makes it a great base. Only wish that I had was that there was more places to eat which served traditional greek food rather than KFC!! (But you can find some lovely places in the other villages and in Rhodes Town - which is beautiful and well worth a visit for 2 euros on the bus!)

I may as well have gone to Blackpool / Bognor Regis / other crappy British resort.
Rhodes as an island is lovely but Faliraki is a dump.

Faliraki I would suspect has had its day (club reps era) as there were a lot of abandoned apartments, restraunts and half built buildings. But down in the town centre its buzzing - lots of fishbowls, cocktails, party people and lots of different places to go.
I admit before I went I feared faliraki would be too rowdy and super tacky with lots of rough tattoo'd bashers hanging off every street corner or girls sprawled on street corners spewing but it wasnt at all like that - it was a fairly clean resort and seemed to be a respectable type of party go-ers kicking about the bars and clubs. I really really enjoyed my time here and if a deal came up again i'd return. The weather was hot too.
Please do try traditional greek food - go to Dessert Rose, La Strada or BBQ Grill on the main strip up beside Morrisons for a real treat but at good prices. Tzaziki the yogurt garlic and cucumber dip is awesome, have some with pitta bread.

To be honest, every mediterranean resort popular with the brits is bound to be the same, serving up the same tacky tourist shops, irish bars and all day british breakfasts, so Faliraki is no different from everywhere else.
We had a great time, great nightlife, but definately just a place to party all night and sleep all day by the pool

The resort was lovely, short stroll to the huge beach with loads of activities available, paragliding, flyfish, tornado an banana boats etc.. - we used Petes for our activities an got good discounts due to the amount of things we did.
Entertainment in the resort seemed to cater for all ages, King Arthurs was a good nite with the hynoptist were my other half was put under lol.
Just outside the Sun Palace hotel is Sofias travel agents were we booked our trip to Lindos an Symi, both were good value for money an Sofia was lovely and friendly.
Would definitely return to Faliraki again, my teenage daughter now after returning soon with friends so she can experience the nitelife even more.

faliraki used to be bustling place, but there were about 5 people per pub and unless you pay for all the booze cruises and foam parties then there isn't much atmosphere compared to when i was last there, but maybe too early in the season. drinks were expensive too €5 each, but look out for the buy one get one free offers.
