The resort was fantastic for families. There was no night life after 11pm unless you chose to use the hotel disco or travel into Rhodes. The disco could not be heard even in the reception area and so did not disturb any guests. We went for a family holiday and got exactly what we went for a fantastic week of fun and relaxation.

The resort itself was a bit quite, there was a village with bars and restaurants anout 20 mins walk away but we never went there! The hotel has a private beach which is nice as you can watch the sun set over the turkish coastline.
Thbeaches were clean but pebble based there are however sun lounges provided.
Yes I woiuld definatly go back, it's beautiful

Not a lot to say very isolated with work ongoing. Not for shopaholics. Airport noise could be a problem if you let it get to you. Maybe in ten years time it may have improved

The beach is quite pebbly, sand not too hot, it was about 29 degrees all week.
Swam in the sea every day, it's quite rough but not dangerous. Went into Rhodes town a couple of times, taxi 12 ish euros, beautiful place, lovely shops and people, I was constantly being 'thanked' for walking past on the kerb.
There is a delightful secret beach on this island, it's called Tsambika beach, about half an hour taxi from hotel, beautiful soft sand and crystal clear sea, quite isolated, nice coffee/icecream shop, make sure you book a taxi back, we had to wait over half an hour at 6.0clock. If any of your party goes missing they'll be at the very far right hand side of the bay (nudist corner). This beach is better than Cyprus beaches.
We went into Faliraki for a look, beach crowded, whole town seemed clean, no lager louts about but very English/Magalufish.
We all loved Rhodes and would definitely go again.

Quiet but bars/restaurants were only a short distance away if you wanted it. Beach was pebbles which isn't really to our liking but still, the view from our bar terrace was gorgeous. The aircraft flying over wasn't a problem for us at all.
Would definitely visit this resort again.

The resort seemed typical of anywhere in Greece but was clean and tidy. You are a bit out of the way from any night life. Did not use the buses but did get a taxi to Rhodes Old Town they have set prices which are displayed on boards so you won't get ripped off. The taxis were very efficient if you order one from your hotel they are there within minutes.
There were only a few bars and restaurants outside of Blue Bay and they all seemed very quiet, we spoke to one restaurant owner and he said this year had been very quiet! Even the hotel we were put in was quiet.

Ialyssos is a little off the beaten track but quite lovely.
You trade off a quick transfer from the airport for airplane noise, but you tend to ignore it after a while.
Nice tavernas and bars and not too rowdy, much nicer that Faliraki!
People friendly and the beach is not too bad even though shingley at the water's edge.

The beach was very pebbly and you had to pay for the sunbeds! Tip:- buy a lilo and use that as a sunbed and you can take it home with you!
Travelling to Rhodes town was awkward by bus as the stop was quite a walk away and slight language barriers, but if you go by taxi its quite cheap and takes half the time. Wear comfortable walking shoes as a lot of the shops are up hill! And they are closed around 3:00 so wake up early!!
It's a bit in the middle of nowhere and if your more of a dooer than a lounger i suggest you stay somwhere closer to the town. I'd give it a thumbs up for families and a thumbs down for young couples! (the cocktails in the bar were very yummy)

I did like Rhodes as it was a very nice place to get out and go for a drive, although were we stayed the was no night life around if you wanted proper night life then you would go into the town or Falaraki but Rhodes is a nice place and maybe if I stayed somewhere else other then the Blue Bay I would consider going again
