Our family group of 12 spent two weeks at the Atlantica Princess and we all agreed we would not be returning.

The hotel had several good points such as excellent food, cleanliness and air conditioning. But the entertainment was very disappointing (please someone tell the reps. not to sing!!)

It was near impossible to relax around the pool during the day due to so many people cramped into too small an area, too many lilos in the pool and the music was too loud all day long.

This will be our fourth year we have been going to the Atlantica Princess and will be going this year.

Everything is just first class, food is excellent, the cleanliness is of a very high standard.

Location is good because it is not noisy when you have got children.

The hotel staff can't do enough for you. The reps do a brilliant job with all ages keeping them amused so well done the Atlantica Princess see you this May.

3 generations of family stayed at the Atlantica Princess during Whitsun half-term 2005.

Amazed at the apartment, it was huge. On 2 floors, 2 balconies, loads of space. Put on loads of weight as the excellent food was non-stop. Hardly recovered from breakfast before morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea then dinner.

Pretty pool area & gardens with loads of sunbeds. Reception and shop staff extremely helpful (shop happy to blow up our inflatables). Entertaiment was 100% enthusiasm if not 100% professionalism!

All in all a great holiday.

The offical rating of this hotel is 4 star, which in my opinion is unjust, it surly deserves the top rating of 5 star, when you walk into the hotel the quality hits you, there is marble everywhere, floors walls, pillars ect.

The staff are all without exception all polite, cannot do enough for you and are very professsional at their respective jobs. We stayed in a select room on the third floor of the main hotel, all rooms are large, spacious and impecably clean.

It contained a bath/shower, king size bed and a sinle, fride, safe,tv, dreesing gown, bedroom slippers, tea and coffee making facilities and a large balcony with table and chairs and a clothes drying framework.

The food without doubt is the best quality I have found in any hotel that I have been in, (we go away quite alot), there is a good selection for all tastes including vegitarian, it is well cooked and nicely presented.

The reps were in attendance at the hotel every day but there services were not required. There is a good selection of drinks including cocktails, the Bar staff are excellent notably is Andrianous, what a nice guy, but saying that I should not pick out one person it is unfair to do that as they are all deserve recognition.

The pool areas are clean with no problems, plenty of sun beds for all, plus sunbeds down on the beach. The beach is single and slops very quickly so I would not recommend swimming here.

The entertainment staff do an excellent job, but lack professionalism, on Tuesday nights there are Greek dancers these are great, another night (I think Thurday) there are is a dancing group called Starlite Express consisting three girls, not what I would call family entertainment (both these act are brought in acts), other nights are varied with entertainment staff doing there own shows.

To sum up this hotel, I would say to you, that if you are thinking of going there go it oozes Quality throughout, I intend to go back there in September taking the kids and grandchildren with us. If any of the staff from this hotel ever view this report, I say to them well done and a big thank you.

Just returned today from the FAB Atlantica Princess everything I have read about this hotel is true great food, high quality rooms and nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

The brochure states Ixia but you are more closer to Trianda down the road with lots of bars and restuarants. Only down side are the mozzies take plenty of preparations they're everywhere. Well that said all I can say is Enjoy.

I really can't fault this hotel. All I wanted was a relaxing break without having to think about anything, and that is exactly what I had.

We were early in the season, so no queues for anything, weather perfect, no sunbed problem, everything was the best it could be.

The staff are amazing, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, and the First Choice reps were total stars, every one of them. Entertainment was mainly geared towards children, but there's a lot to be had if you want to go to Faliraki or wherever. Taxis are cheap and the hotel will call you one.

Food was lovely, and no sense of being "tied" to the hotel - mealtimes were very relaxed.

Rhodes is a beautiful place, with plenty to see and do. I'm sure that whatever sort of holiday you want you will find it here, but I definitely recommend the Atlantica on an all inclusive.

Our accommodation was set in the gardens across the road from the hotel. We felt that this was a very busy road, and in our opinon too dangerous to cross with children.

The accommodation was very dark with no natural sunlight. We had problems with red ants. The gap under the front door had to be wedged with a blanket every evening as there was an inch gap and all the insects enjoyed partying in our room. There was lack of wardrobe space and the kitchen facilities, in our opinion, were not suitable for self catering, as you had to boil a kettle on a chair and the microwave was in another room placed at the bottom of the bed.

We had wonderful weather and for our family we enjoyed the location. The main hotel across the road was excellent both in accomodation and friendlness of the staff, the entertainment group were very good and so was the staff at the kids club, the hotel food was very good. We did move from the garden apartments into the main hotel, I just feel that it was a shame that I had to spend one week complaining about our accomodation.

I would be very suprised if this accommodation in the gardens were rated 4 star .

We arrived at the accommodation during early morning, after a horrendous flight.

As we were self catering, we were dumped in old apartments across a busy, fast road which is not safe for young children. The apartments were small and dark and also poorly equiped.I would rate the apartments, which we were in at a 3* at the most.
Anyone going to this hotel next season should ask before you go to be put into the apartments in the main building as these are new and absolutley excellent!!!
We were moved after two days, due to no electrics in the apartment.

However the facilities the hotel had were excellent, with plenty of activities to keep everyone happy during the day and night.

The location of the hotel is not too bad, whith bars, restaurants and shops just outside the hotel itself. However if you want more of a choice then you can walk to Ixia, which is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. However people with young children or people with walking difficulties should get a taxi.

Overall my family had a great time, but would not go back to this hotel, due to how crap some of the apartmnts were.

Had a great holiday at this hotel. We went near the end of the season and I would recommend this time to anyone as the hotel was not over crowded.Never had to get up early to reserve a sun bed in fact we sat on the same ones for the fortnight and never came down till after 9am. Staff were very friendly especially Alexandros the bar waiter. The entertainment team only seemed to get friendly with a chosen few, we joined in with a few things but wer'nt even given a hello in the morning. They seemed to choose who they wanted to participate in the shows and never asked for volunteers.
Food was excellent for all meals with plenty of choice and different theme nights such as chinese, Italian and Greek. Cocktails were also available on all inclusive and there was a good variety,I think I tried most of them.
Rooms in the hotel were massive we had an apartment on two floors with two toilets, it had a balcony either side of the hotel one looking out to sea the other over looking the pool so you got the best of both worlds.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone as it has a good location near to the Rhodes town which is Lovely and close to the airport so a short transfer.

Booked this hotel after reading reviews last year on this site.
I must say that enough praise cannot be given to the hotel. The staff are the friendliest I have ever encountered. The cleaning DOES go on 24 hours a day. (I know because I got up earlier and earlier to get a sunbed!!!!.
Entertainment is lame to say the least, 2 outside acts in 2 weeks but full marks go to Tracy, John and Yolanda for effort.
The food is excellent and as good as any other hotel I have stayed in. Seating is quick and efficient and the choice is plentiful to say the least.
The pool can get a bit cramped around the edges with sunbeds.
The TWO most important things I would say are 1. Pack a pair of long trousers as you WILL NOT get entry to the restaurant in shorts and 2. I went to the hotel in high season and the queueing system at the bar meant that the longest I ever waited for a drink was 2 minutes which is quicker than any busy British pub I hav been in.
All in all, if you are looking for a top notch FAMILY all inclusive holiday, you won't find better.
