The resort was not to bad bits of rubbish thrown about, there was a farm near our hotel which emitted some interesting smells.
The bars in the town stayed open till about 4-5am kareoke at statues was ok.
We only visited the beach by our hotel which was shingle. There was a beach bar and the usual water sports were a little further along. We didn,t spend much time here but it seemed clean.
There seemed to be loads of cats every where and also a fair few goats. We would visit Kolymbia again, hopefully next year.

A very quiet area to have a stroll around, not much in the way of bars and shops but this didnt bother us. The beach is mainly pebbles, so if you are looking for sand I wouldn't suggest going here. Had heard about long queues at the airport but it was orderly and the staff were as efficient as they could be, it was holiday makers who caused any problems but luckily there were only a few. I would love to go back.

Kolymbia is a very pleasant little resort. Good shopping area. Very pleasant headland for walking, reminiscent of moorland in Yorkshire (but MUCH MUCH smaller of course). Lovely little waterfront and rocky headland, on the other side of the resort beautiful sandy beach bay and the small harbour beyond, VERY picturesque place indeed. WELL WORTH A VISIT

Theres not much in the resort, just a few gift shops and a couple of bars, most of the shops have air con which is great, there is only one pharmacy in the resort and he is quite expensive.
Be careful about being bitten too you need insect repellant, we were bitten to bits, within hours of arriving.

Lovely clean resort but hotel was on its own therefore no where to walk of an evening. The bus stopped outside hotel and cost 2.80 euros each way to Rhodes Town which was a wonderful place especially the castle. Well worth a visit.

When we arrived the resort was almost still closed down for the winter but within a week of arrival the whole place came to life again. We watched a large Hotel rise from a run down building into a fully painted and holiday makers into residence within 7 days.
The beach came alive within 2 days ( more sun beds a pontoon with banana boat pedlos and lots more) We stayed from the 10th May so if I was to return I would wait till a week later before arriving and the place would have come alive.

The resort was a bit of a disappointment, i didn't want there to be night clubs everywhere as I was on my honeymoon but I expected there to be a little more entertainment. The best bar we went to was called memories that's only because they had live sport showing and the drinks were really cheap. We did hire a car out for three days and travelled around the island of Rhodes which was great loads to see and do, especially recommend Rhodes old town.
The Beach next to the hotel was not the best beach I have ever been too it was a little rocky think we only went in the sea twice; you also have to pay for your sun lounges.
I wouldn't go back to the resort it was not lively enough for me.

Our Hotel Kolymbia Sun wasn't on the beach but a short walk from three beaches, two large ones and a small beach and harbour for small boats. We liked the harbour best, two sunbeds and a brolly was 6 euros for the day, also had one friendly taverna and a toilet and shower facility by the beach. The sea here was clear clean and so clam, shallow and warm. The beach to the right of the harbour was a lot longer and very nice but shingle and quite hard to walk along, you really needed those plastic shoes to go into the sea for fear of cuts, but they are sold in all the shops for about 5 euros. We didn't go to the other one just for a look but it was a large beach too with another tiny harbour. So you have a nice choice right on your doorstep of three places for a change of scenery.
You are a few minutes walk from the main street with some very nice open-air bars, shops and restaurants. Statues, Heaven and Memories are all very friendly. We went to beautiful Lindos by local bus 1.70e, also Rhodes town by local bus 2.70e. There is a lovely beach 10 mins on the bus called Tsimbuko or something we spent the day there. The trip to Simi Island is worth doing and cost 25e at the first tour shop in the high street. All trips are cheaper there than with the rep. Temperatures were 30 in the shade the whole time we were there.

Being all inclusive we did not leave the hotel much but there were plenty of bars and restaurants to eat in.
The streets were clean and plenty of souvenir shops near by.
