Pefkos is a quiet resort with lots of restaurants and bars. Not the place to go if your into clubbing etc.
We will definitely be going again this year as are many others that i spoke to. More for the hotel than the resort.

Have always stayed at Pefkos though have visited all the other resorts over the years by car. Pefkos is the most charming and woderful place to be. There is a wide range of eating places within walking distance and the people cannot do enough for you. The quality of food is first class and very reasonable (family of four). It has always felt a safe and secure little resort. Lindos is a 10 min taxi ride, where you can step back in time and sample tradiitonal greek life. Lardos is also very close and is easily reached by taxi. We will return to Pefkos next year to soak up the constant sun shine, watch an amazing sun set, eat and drink in some amazing places and come back hope with fully charged batteries. P.S have never been ill during our hols, the standards are very high.
The Resort was relatively clean, however the unmade pavements, the large pot holes and uneven surfaces made for very dangerous walking (in the dark). As the main thoroughfare is really only one small road, the constant flow of fast mopeds, bikes, buses and cars are in competition with pedestrians - again an added danger, indeed I spotted two children and three adults with broken legs!
Entertainment: What entertainment? If you like football matches blaring out from enormous satellite dishes all day and night...go to Pefkos. If not, avoid it like the plague! Same applies for bingo and stupid quizzes! Most bars etc only have one tape with which to brainwash their customers, the staff don't seem to notice - oh I forgot..they're too busy watching the football. Occassionally Greek music could be heard, but again, only one tape.
Food: Utterly diabolical in this resort. As a person who has travelled widely on the Greek mainland and around many islands (having lived and worked in Greece for 8 years) I can confidently say that the food I ate in Pefkos is the worst I have ever had! If however you wish to eat frozen chips every night (and I must say particularly and exceptionally TASTELESS frozen chips) with your football, HP sauce and most everything else English...(including radio ad's for direct line insurance, BT...need I go on?)then you will enjoy the manufactured small portioned, over priced guff that the locals believe English people want. Such a shame! In search of ANYTHING else apart from frozen chips I eventually found .....roast (as in Sunday dinner) potatoes! AAArrrrrggggghhhhh! Finally on my last two evenings a more authentic eating establishment was found and the cusine more palatable if somewhat dehydrated from the lack of oil! Bread which is normally copious and fresh was produced by the slice and charged by the slice! The Greeks would be outraged if served the kind of food that this resort is producing. By far it's biggest downfall.
Beach: The beach was busy but not too congested. For 4 Euros each we hired a sunbed and umbrella each for the day. Theres a fresh water shower to douse the salt off, however again it is a health and safety hazard (i.e. the steps are easy to fall off). The sea is fantastic, clear and warm, however watch out for sharp rocks which children can (and do) cut their feet on...quite badly.
Overall: Our accomodation was nice, but the long trek up to our room was too far for comfort. The resort was so disappointing in that the Greeks were the most uninterested and unfriendly that I have ever come across. Only in one establishment did the staff appear to be genuine and actually have any rapport with their customers. In our nearest supermarket the owners/staff were hostile, scathing and down right rude to their customers (how handy it is to be able to understand Greek and to hear them insulting their customers). Never before have I been anywhere in Greece where money making was quite so paramount, where customer rapport was so non existent and where the most attractive and seductive qualities of Greek life have been so obliterated as to provide ENGLAND (only a smattering of Scots and less Italians and almost NO other nationality....no wonder why?)in the heat. For me....my first disaster in over 20 years of being connected to Greece. What a pity. The British are fickle....when they realise that it's only their money that counts in Pefkos...they'll be following the other nationalities...

Pefkos is a small resort, catering mainly for British people. There are a number of excellent restaurants and the cost of eating out is reasonable, eg, three adults can expect to pay 50 euros for 2 courses including house wine.
There are also a number of cocktail bars with reasonably priced drinks.

What can I say brilliant great for families everything you could want in a few short kms, Restaurants first class the Greeks make you feel at home, and are always smiling. The beach very safe, clean, sea lovely and clear and always warm. Heaven....
Pefkos is perfect.
It's absolutely beautiful and has everything you could want for a totally relaxed holiday in the Greek sun.
There are at least three beaches within easy walking distance of the centre, good tavernas and bars, especially the Pefkos by Night, which is the best, thanks to George, Yianni and Spiros.
