The resort is well located, 10mins ride on the bus to the town centre and if you went in the opposite direction then its only 15mins on the bus to the furthest beach which is Banana Beach (thats one for the lads ;-)).
If your wanting a relaxing holiday, Skiathos is the place to go.

Not enough time in a week to try all tavernas.
Nectar & Ambrose very accommodating. ( Opened specially in the afternoon for my wedding reception - at one day notice!)
Easy access to Skiathos Town. Bus frequent, but often crowded. Taxi inexpensive and best option.
Good central location for best of both beach and nightlife.

I have literally returned from Skiathos within the last 24 hours. The holiday was a wonderful experience.
The island of Skiathos closes down for the winter season mid October, so my travelling at the end of September was a very "laid back" time to go. The whole island is just so delightful, very, very pretty.
Go into the capital Skiathos Town, where you will find a very cosmopolitan atmosphere. Wonderful yachts moored at the harbour, where you will find lovely cafes and Tavernas right on the quayside. Just sit there with a drink or eat a meal and watch the world go by! Bliss!
I cannot recommend this island highly enough. Do go!
Take a trip by boat around this small island, and visit wonderful beaches only accessable by boat.

If you enjoy the town, you stay here because you want to be part of the community. So you will here scooters and locals talking late into the night outside your window.
If you are in the acropolis (Old town)the walk back on the cobbles from the tavernas will make you fit by the end of the holiday. Nearest bus stop (4) and beach (Megali Amos)are 10 minute walk away.

Skiathos town is fab, it is clean and has plenty of bar and restaurants ranging from casual type places to more fancy ones - but all great. Sitting around a lovely harbour with plenty of choices of bars and the side steets have lively bars. So many beaches and all great and clean, best beaches at the bottom of the island. Most have beach tavernas for that much needed cool beer! Would definately return

Skiathos Town, clean, beautiful, safe. Didnt go looking for a clubbing holiday went for peace and quiet, found it here.
Travel on the local bus and visit different beaches everyday, nearly every stop has a beach, koukanaries worth a visit but found other beaches just as nice( achlaides, kolios), skiathos town is lovely to explore the narrow alley ways, the windmill restaurant is a must for a real treat and the views(booking a must).
Will visit skiathos again soon I hope.

The resort is very small with a few tavernas and a couple of shops. If you are looking for a lively holiday this is not the resort for you however it is fantastic for any family or couple after a pleasent getaway!!
The beach is clean and very typical of a Greek Island. The sand is white and the sea is very blue!!!
Altogether a nice friendly resort.
