Fantastic hotel in a great resort.

Our rooms were cleaned daily and we found the rest of the hotel to be spotless.

The pool is fantastic and also very clean.

The location of hotel couldn't have been better, practically on the beach!! There are plenty of restaurants just a couple of minutes walk away and only a few minutes walk into the resort center.

We stayed b&b and this was the only low point of our stay in Tsilivi - the food was ok just very small choice ham eggs and bread & jam and it got tedious having the same thing every day.

We are thinking of returning here again in 2006 but would stay self catering next time.

The hotel was better than expected, first time I have been able to lay in bed with the balcony doors open and actually see and hear the sea, EXCELLENT.

We have just returned from the best holiday of our lives at the Tsilivi Beach Hotel.

We read all the reviews before going and thought that the place could not possibly live up to all the good things that people have said but it far exceeded our expectations.

The staff are friendly and courteous and can't do enough for you (especially Alice on Reception).

The rooms are kept clean and tidy with maid service everyday except Sunday. If you want a shower it's best to have one before 6:30 as that's when the hot water seems to run out.

The food for the bed and breakfast is basic contintental but all fresh. There is a Taverna/Pool/Beach Bar attached to the hotel called the Boat House which serves good food as well.

The pools are lovely and there was never a shortage of sunbeads around the pools or if you ventured the few yards to the beach there were plenty more there.

We travelled with Thomas Cook and our rep (Sinead O'Connor - no not that one)was brilliant, spent a lot of time at the hotel (average 6 hours per day! - except on days off and airport duties allowing.

All in all a great holiday and will definitely be going back.

The Tsilivi Beach Hotel was fabulous. We are not people that look for faults, but require a good standard of accomodation.
This was fullfilled in every way. The only warning is to have a shower before 18:30, if not prepare for a cool one. The beds were of excellent quality for holiday accomodation. The pools were lovely

Having read all of the previous reviews on Tsilivi Beach Hotel, we were expecting a lot more than we discovered. The hotel is reasonably clean, the reception area and pool area are very clean but the rooms were a big let down.

We stayed in the older part of the hotel on a B&B basis. The walls are paper thin and you can clearly hear what your neighbours are saying, word-for-word! This affects your privacy quite a bit. Also, if you are fortunate enough to be near the cleaners store room you will also be woken at approminately 7am by the loud gaggle of greek chambermaids (possibly moaning about dirty towels or how much they hate their jobs.)

Due to the floor in the bathroom having a drain in the centre (a greek tradition), you are almost guarenteed to have the odour of faeces and urine surround your living quarters. I am not exagerating this, the drain's were horrifically smelly.

The lock on our balcony door also jammed and it took them over 48 hours to fix, despite us infomring them that it was a fire hazard as well as blocking any view.
The greek way of doing things, is v..e..r..y....s..l..o..w..l..y. They are in no rush, especially to help you with something.

On a lighter note, the pool area was lovely, very clean and plenty beds for all. The beach is literally only a stones throw away and the views are beautiful.

The breakfast area was quite dissapointing. Nothing spectacular, and again, the staff gave off the opinion that you were a nusiance instead of who they were serving.

On several occasions we had run in with the hotel staff. One particular employee (who we presumed was not one of the hotel owning/running family, they were reasonably friendly) was EXTERMELY rude and was obviously expelled from any customer service class very early in the day. I don not think it is too much to expect a thank you or at the very least, a smile.Particularly when you feel as if you are dishing them out by the dozen.

Do not go for a shower early in the morning or anytime after 6pm. It will be freezing if you do. This does get annoying after the first couple of days and can be a bit restrictive.

All in all, i would not visit this hotel again. I definitely would not recommend any more than a 7 day visit as really you will want to get home to your own luxuries! If you spend as little time in your room (as we did)you will enjoy the hotel, just take advantage of the lovely pool!

It really depends what standard of accomodation you are used to and are happy with. Some others we spoke to really enjoyed their stay but like ourselves, others felt the standards were poor and the hotel is very much overrated as a 3 star accomodation.

We started our 7 day holiday at another hotel (georgia apts) we moved on the second day because of the general standard and the noise 24hrs a day.

We found this hotel by accident whilst looking for a better place to stay. We booked in ourselves and found it very reasonable at 60 euros per night per room.

The staff were very freindly and helpful, the room spotless and modern. The location was great, away from the hussle and bussle of the town but only a five min walk. Its also on the edge of the nicest part of the beach.

This hotel saved our holiday.

My boyfriend & I stayed at the Tsilivi Beach Hotel for a week at the end of June. Our board basis was
B & B - Breakfast was continental which means boiled eggs, ham, cheese & bread - fine for a week.

The hotel is situated right on the beach which was great and only a 10 minute walk to the restaurants/bars.

The weather was roasting and the sea/pool were also warm.

The hotel restaurant has a karaoke once a week.

Rooms were clean with maid service 6 days a week. Our room also had air conditioning and a tv - although most channels are in Greek.

Would recommend this hotel.

I have been to this hotel twice with my dad and my sister. We loved our stay in the hotel because the staff were really friendly and Helpful if you needed anything. We went in May and July of this Year.
Even though the drains can get abit smelly at times, that does nothing to your stay. The rooms are appropriate for your stay afterall you only sleep in your room, its not as if you stay there all day.The rooms are a reasonable size for the family.
The Boathouse next to the Hotel does wonderful meals and the staff are really friendly.
The entertainment may only be once a week but you will never forget it.
The pools are clean, they are cleaned out every morning.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone with families and people who are just looking for a break. We enjoyed it so much we are going back next year.

I have been to Zante about 11 times and mostly stayed at the Tsilivi beach hotel and studios, the first time was in 1985 before there was a swimming pool at the hotel.

The rooms are clean and tidy nothing special, standard Greek, what makes it so special is the friendlyness of the family. They make everyone feel special whether it's your first visit or your repeat visitors like ourselves.

People return year after year so that speaks for itself.
